There were many flesh-eating monsters in the world of Sotah. However, the only monster that liked to eat Demons was Posei. His existence was a danger to the Destroyers.
Therefore Velix asked Elang to back off and keep his distance, while Puma didn't need to worry about anything as Lumo was too busy in his battle around the protective wall made of golden roots that sprouted from the base of her golden scepter.
Puma swooped down on her golden root tread, tilted her head, and tried to keep her balance. Velix was now holding quite tightly on Puma's shoulder, peeking from behind and trying to figure out what's going on.
Elang croaked in the air, approached Lumo, and fought together. From a distance, Velix could see Puma's giant wand was now almost far away.
"You didn't take your weapon? It could be that your slender spear isn't strong enough to defeat Posei. He's swallowed Folcar, you know." Velix's voice was almost submerged and inaudible. However, because he was so close to Puma, Puma can still hear him quite well. Or Puma was just concluding the possibilities in her head.
"You're right. But if I take it then Lumo will come with me. He is bound by an inheritance which is my golden scepter."
Velix was silent. His soft hair was now rustling in the wind. "So your Demon is a descendant Demon? I thought he came because he chose you."
Puma squeaked. "For whatever reason, it doesn't matter now, Velix!"
Suddenly a monster slid from the side, trying to rip apart Puma's and Velix's bodies. The tips of their bodies nearly collided with the monster's claws, and luckily they survived because Puma was able to dodge just before the tips of the monster's claws could touch her clothes.
Puma's footing bounced as if blown away by a fairly strong wind. Their high-speed in-flight had created an imbalance when the slightest shock hit.
They were upside down, heads were down. Velix finally fell, crashed, and almost hit the ground. His face seemed to be pulled back, with a body that had been rolling around indefinitely.
He could have unleashed his giant arrows, but his energy was starting to weaken now. Elang wouldn't be able to get close if he didn't summon him, and Velix was adamant not to summon his Demon.
Velix's body was the first to hit the ground. His eyes looked up, seeing Puma who had suddenly been attacked by so many monsters. It didn't take long for Puma to beat them back. She immediately flew down to grab Velix's body, which had almost hit the ground three centimeters away.
"Uh, I thought I would die!" Velix complained after he tried to stand on Puma's foothold. They weaved in the middle of the battle, tracking down more of the bodies of the monsters that tried to attack them.
A gigantic monster emerged from the ground. Its enormous head has filled almost all of Puma's access. She immediately jumped off her footing, then pounded the monster's head. Velix helped. He launched his arrow, aimed it with his hand, and dropped it on the monster's forehead.
Velix suppressed the energy so that his arrows penetrated the back of the monster's skull, pierced it very deeply, and then released concentrated energy as a form of poison that finally overthrew the monster.
Puma looked satisfied. She jumped back and hit the head of the monster below her. The explosion was massive, throwing Puma's body backward, approaching the direction of the revival procession if only Gorg hadn't gotten in the way.
Puma's body finally landed on her foothold again, meeting Velix who lost his grip and staggered slightly as if he was about to fall.
Puma squinted. "Aren't you used to flying above Elang's body?"
"This is different. Your foothold is nothing more than a crazy plate to step on, fragile and wild."
Puma snorted at Velix's answer. She immediately dashed to find an opening to get past Gorg. But his energy field was distracting. Puma bounced back due to not having good preparation.
The two of them screamed, almost hitting a monster's horn and turning them into meat skewers. But finally, Puma was able to balance herself. Her elbow hit the horned monster's face, and she immediately attacked Gorg who was still rampaging in front of her.
Puma frowned in confusion. "Shit, he just got stronger. We will run out of time to enter the generation procession area." Puma moved her pupils and found two black lumps that formed like a very large mound of earth. "It must be Posei prison. The Healers and Awakeners must have been locked up."
Gorg soared through the air, getting bigger and bigger, spitting fire from his mouth and clenched fists. Puma dodged back, almost sending Velix to the ground.
Now Velix was staggering and almost nauseous. "Just make a rain! You can do it, right? Damn, I'm about to throw up." Velix was coughing and almost gulping if Puma hadn't nudged him in the stomach and made him wince in pain.
"Fool, I will spend a lot of energy creating rain. Maybe I won't be able to beat Posei. Then what's the point?" Puma jumped into the air, trying to reach Gorg. Her hand drew her slender spear, after which she circled Gorg's body. Puma managed to ensnare Gorg, then she pressed her hand and created lightning around Gorg's body. But unfortunately, Gorg's body was getting stronger.
Puma immediately walked away and cursed. Velix sneered, "Great, you increase his power."
"Shut up, dammit!" Puma cursed angrily. Finally, she soared into the sky, summoning Lumo as well as a golden scepter with her lightning power. Puma stuck her wand, jumped up, and stood on her fist-sized end.
Puma shouted, "Blow through the Sky! A Storm Fills The Air!"
Her golden scepter soared high, sending Puma looking up and through the thick, cold air. Her face hardened, as she gathered the power of lightning within her grasp.
Puma held out her hand as if punching the air, while she held her slender spear in his other hand. Lightning flashed from Puma's fist, exploded, and pierced the sky. Puma shot up with her golden wand, the tip starting to shoot high and twisting, like an endless vortex forming.
As Puma's body curled on top of her golden wand, the explosions of lightning from her hands continued to strike non-stop, filling the sky and creating an endlessly billowing cloud. Puma created a raindrop, by exploding lightning from inside her body or from inside her fist. Her eyes continued to focus as if challenging the sky that continued to send clouds of cloud that looked terrible.
Several flying monsters tried to stop Puma, but the intense lightning energy protected her, causing the monsters to die from roasting.
Now that Puma was running out of her energy, she was almost paralyzed in the middle of trying to lure the rain that he couldn't stop the procession. She hadn't created enough lightning energy, the overcast coils hadn't collected too much water from all around her, while Puma was starting to stagger and nearly fell off the foothold of her golden scepter.
Puma clenched her fists even tighter, forcing herself even harder. In the midst of all that Lumo suddenly appeared and again wrapped around her neck using his tail. Now that Lumo was giving the energy injection, he channeled the fishing energy from his body.
Now the tiny bolts of lightning that had flown from Puma's hands had exploded into the sky, sending the clouds creating thunder and curling horribly above them.
Puma was still spinning, still exerting her power. She said hoarsely, "Wait a bit longer, Lumo!" Her body suddenly swayed from being too tired. Her foothold had collapsed, shrunk, and returned to its original size.
Puma was now falling from a height, Lumo screamed and ran around Puma's unconscious body. Her body was knocked down very quickly, breaking through the overcast coils that were already pouring out in very heavy rain.
