Everyone gasped when Mikael said,
"You are going to be a vampire."
They got panicked and freaked out and so, Finn asked their parents,
"What is a vampire?"
Mikael started walking while answering,
"A vampire is a creature that has the ability of speed, enough intelligence for eternity, and beauty but above all, it gives you immortality." Everyone was shocked to hear that last word. Immortality? Was that even a real thing? To never leave this earth and live forever till eternity?
"But father, how can one become a vampire?" Elijah asked.
"By performing a ritual, of course!"
"How do you know about that father?" Rebekah asked.
Esther and Mikael looked at each other and then Esther replied, "Because your dad is a vampire too."
Everyone scratched their heads at this. They have learned that their father is not human and something else only. It was like their whole world has been changed.
"When I was 8 years old i.e. in 936 A.D your grandfather and grandmother decided to turn your uncle Ulrich and me into a vampire because we were dead and so, they got a witch to perform a ritual at late night on me and your uncle Ulrich and when the sun rose we rose as a vampire with it."
"Dad, you were dead?" Niklaus asked horrified.
"Yes. And you all have to die too." He spoke.
Esther sat down and placed the white candles left and right from the red candle. She lighted the red candle and then the two white from left to right. She set the paper aflame and chanted,
"Ut vivat anima mea Me dolor meus, relinqueret, Turn ut ad te pulvis, Meum est enim omne malum. Relinquo vobis, ut in praeteritum, Relinquo vobis ex meam et laborem. Uror ut eorum proicientur _Davian_ mihi. Memoria deleatur mentis Angustia temporis non tenetur. Accipio quod manifestatur, et ita factum est."
She then let the paper burn out in a *safe* container and blow away the ashes in a safe manner away. The spell was done and esther blew the candle and thanked the ancestors.
"Davian is erased from everyone's mind now."
Niklaus felt guilty and sad; regretful because Davian was their friend. And they had just erased him. How will he face the mother when she will ask him about Davian or his little brother who is dysfunctional?
"After some time I will perform the immortality but now I'll prepare lunch."
Usually, whenever Esther would prepare something, everyone would step outside. And so they all went outside. Henrik, Kol, and Rebekah were playing with each other. Niklaus sat down on the ground near his house by taking support of a huge rock. Elijah was about to go accompany him but Finn advised not to and so they both went somewhere else.
Niklaus remembers the time when they made Rebekah as a bride and Davian as a groom and performed a wedding ceremony just for fun. Rebekah was so happy and blushing and Davian was just having a great time. At an instant, Niklaus's mind shifted from Davian's laugh to his grave and this drove him so angry upon himself.
Suddenly he felt that someone is watching him. He sees here and there but no one was there. He nudged it off but when he heard a branch getting snapped, Niklaus says,
"Who is there? Henrik is that you?"
He started walking and walking but he saw no one.
All of them entered their home when Esther called and Elijah looks at Klaus' concerned face and asks,
"What happened brother, is something bothering you?"
Niklaus answered,
"Yes I sensed someone was peeping into our house, but when I checked, there was no one."
"It's them!", Mikael says terrified.
"Who father?" Niklaus asked.
"No one! Let's eat!"
"So how was the rabbit, Rebekah?" Kol asked and smiled.
"Nik, please! It was good but don't get the rabbits again!"
"Ok, sister," Niklaus replied.
At dawn, Esther sat to prepare everything for ritual. Around 4 of the morning, she was ready for the immortality.
Esther drew a symbol that showed four stages of life: nativity, youth, maturity, passing; connected at a point called immortality. She lighted the candle and placed it on the immortality point and then Mikael says to his children,
"Once you will turn into a vampire, you won't age, and also won't get any disease. But one thing will be taken from you. You won't ever become a parent."
"But for that, your father and I decided if you want, we could let you live some years as a human."
"I have no desire to become a parent," Kol said.
"If mother has decided to make us immortals now, I won't do anything to hold onto that," Finn said.
"I want to be the strongest person to protect our family and if that asks for my parenthood, I'd happily give up," Elijah spoke
"I think this the proper punishment for me. I snatched someone's child and in return, I won't bear one." Niklaus said.
Everyone sighed at this but didn't say anything.
"Rebekah?" Esther asked.
"Well, mother... everybody knows that I adore our family and therefore always wanted one. I would like a few years with me as a mortal to find a man and start a family." Rebekah said. Esther nods.
"I'd also like to be immortal," Henrik said cheerfully.
"No, Henrik. You are still a child. You should at least be 22." Finn says.
"5 years! I can't wait 5 years! No, I want to be one now." Henrik demands.
"He's right Henrik. You should become an adult first." Niklaus continued.
At this, Henrik nods but a little sadly
"So it's decided. 5 years, you are both mortal ok? (Rebekah and Henrik nods) Ok, let's start."
Esther says and chants a spell that snaps the Mikaelsons' neck; hence, killing them. She then resumes back to her ritual. She put salt at each corner of the symbol and started saying the spell:
"Ego vocabo aks annorum vitae meae dabo ignem vires ingenii celeritate venissent nocte crescere me mittere lumen caeli.
Ego vocabo aks annorum vitae meae dabo ignem vires ingenii celeritate venissent nocte crescere me mittere lumen caeli.

Then she takes a knife and polishes it with melted wax from the candle four times. Then with the knife, she engraves all of their names on the White Oak four times and says the binding spell while doing it,
"Tu quis es, qui me unum sumus.
Tu quis es, qui me unum sumus.
Tu quis es, qui me unum sumus.
Tu quis es, qui me unum sumus."
After that Esther took salt from each corner; which was turned to black now and polished it on the White Oak. She then sat beside the dead Finn.
"This part won't be easy to see." She warned.
After saying that she said,
"I call upon the ancestors to give me the strength.
I call upon the ancestors to give me the strength.
I call upon the ancestors to give me the strength.
I call upon the ancestors to give me the strength."
And then she struck the pointed White Oak into Finn's heart. Mikael had no response to this.
"One for a nativity." Then she pulls out the White Oak. Then again she struck the pointed White Oak in the heart.
"One for youth." Then she pulls out the White Oak. Then again she struck the pointed White Oak in the heart.
"One for maturity." Then she pulls out the White Oak. Then again she struck the pointed White Oak in the heart.
"One for passing." Then she pulls out the White Oak. And then she says the same binding spell,
"Tu quis es, qui me unum sumus." And then again she struck the pointed White Oak in the heart.
"And one for immortality." Then she pulls out the White Oak.
After that, she does the same to all the Mikaelsons. After that, she casts a spell and burns the White Oak, and joins Mikael.
"The shared White Oak will give them equal strength and equal power," Esther said.
They waited for the sun to rise and when it did, the Mikaelsons rose with them. When they woke up, Esther asked,
"How are you feeling children?"
"We're feeling great, mum!" Kol said cheerfully.
"Yes, mother it's like there is no blood flowing in us but something else," Finn said.
"It is like our body is agitating to do something crazy!" Elijah said.
"I am not feeling anything different," Rebekah said in wonder.
"Yes me too!" Henrik whined too.
"That's because you are reborn as human while they are as inhuman. (Rebekah and Henrik nods. Then she looks at Niklaus who hasn't said a single thing) What about you Niklaus?"
Niklaus didn't say anything but hugged her. And while hugging he then said with tears in his eyes,
"You always look out for us and I thank you for that."
Esther breaks the hugging and wipes his tears,
"What are parents for?"
"Well enough of this melodrama. I remember father mentioning speed and I'm going out." Kol said and was approaching the door.
"Kol, wait!" Mikael shouted but Kol had already set his foot outside. As soon as he did, his foot started sizzling. And therefore he instantly got in. "What was that for?!" Kol shouted.
"Another disadvantage of being a vampire, can't walk in sunlight," Mikael said.
"What, father!" Kol expresses his anger.
"But don't worry I will make some daylight rings which will help you walk in sunlight," Esther said.
"How long will that take?" Elijah asked.
"You will have them by tomorrow. So until then, you can wait out for sunset. And after that, you can go out." Ester said.
They sat and played some indoor games while her mother was preparing the rings. They had this thirst that was driving them crazy. They drank water but they still weren't satisfied. Mikael noticed this but didn't say anything. Esther noticed too. When the sun was set and it was night, they all went out.
Once they were out, they started running. The speed they were at was so exciting and exhilarating. They could travel 5km in 2 minutes. And not just speed, they also heard everything. The sound spiders were making while walking, the sound rabbits were making while nibbling on a carrot, everything. As vampires feel every emotion heightened, their happiness had no bounds. Suddenly they smelled something different. Something different than flowers and grass. Something metallic. Their thirst reached them to the place where the smell was oozing and saw it was blood. Human blood. Some townies were hurt and instead of helping them, they growled hungrily and bit them, and started sucking in their blood.
What they were doing made them feel gross, for sure but they couldn't stop themselves. Eventually, they sucked it all up and dried them bloodless. Hence, they killed all of them. At least that's what they thought. When they had realized what they had done, in remorse and guilt they started walking away. But Elijah heard a shuddering breath among the corpses. He followed the breath and saw it was a man. A familiar man. Hayden. Elijah knew him and was quite bamboozled to see him. He wanted to ask him what he was doing there but the blood he was covered in, made him go crazy and he started feeding on Hayden. He couldn't stop himself and Hayden couldn't stop screaming.
Suddenly, Elijah's neck was snapped and it was Mikael. Mikael snapped all of the Mikaelsons' necks except Rebekah and Henrik's. Hayden fainted and when Mikael saw him, he was terrified, "It can't be!"
