"look at that isn't that a herb? and that fruit looks tasty! and that plant is covered in glowing moss" faes was talking with sky as they ran towards the capital city which wasn't too far from where they were barely two days on foot. they have been travelling while still looking around and hunting and collecting herbs and medicinal plants along with other stuff that was important like glowing moss which was used as a dye according to the system to make the fabric glow in dark. it would sell at a nice price.
faes didn't have many points currently and the ones she had were not enough to buy everything she needed for mystic fog castle. faes had asked system how can she earn points and it had replied

1. complete missions from the adventurers guild
2. sell pills and potions you made
3. collect things that can be traded for points
4. ask for points from your parents
5. convert the AP and SP from system shop into points]
faes was curious after knowing that she can change the attribute points and spirit points with money points in this world but when she checked the amount she gave up on using them.
one spirit point was equal to ten thousand money points in this world while one attribute point was equal to five thousand money points.
faes was going to save the AP and SP for emergency after she knew their value. if she changed them now she would be a millionaire in this world but it would be cheating and she won't be able to get them back if she spent the money points.
faes thought about asking for points from her family. they were the royal family of kingdom Altai that ruled over most humans in this world, they were bound to be rich. but the main problem was faes cant contact them without her watch and sky didn't have a watch yet. the watch Aiden had stopped working after he died and she can't use it anymore.
even if she can contact them faes was not close to them. she was not from this world and the previous owner was not close to them emotionally either so faes felt hesitant to ask for points from them.
left with no choice faes decided to earn points herself by collecting and selling important stuff along with making pills and potions then selling them.
along the way, faes and sky had been collecting many things that can be of value along with sightseeing and hunting some tier 1 and tier 2 beasts. they can eat them or sell them for points too. faes had levelled up to knight establishment stage 2 while hunting tier 2 beast while sky was still knight establishment stage 1.
faes had lunch with sky and kailial in her space and much to faes frustration kailial was stuck on improving his cooking skills and won't let her cook. faes still prepared sky's milk as kailial didn't know how to but her food was prepared by him.
even with a solid body like soul, the current kailial was still just a soul fragment hence he was unable to eat anything himself. he could only cook for faes as sky was still not allowed to take anything other than milk, he also asked faes to teach him how to prepare sky's milk but faes refused him right away!
faes was quite annoyed with this setup but let kailial do whatever he wanted except preparing sky's milk because faes took it as her duty to take care of sky. his food was edible and she was used to eating barely edible food in her previous life so she wasn't complaining.
'it will just give me more time to train anyways' faes sighed giving in to her fate of eating barely edible food.
faes and sky continued their journey after lunch but this time sky was asleep in faes arms while faes was running at full speed. she even went as far as using her movement technique in hopes of practising it further, in her focus of improving her movement technique faes didn't sense a strong beast before entering its territory, soon faes slowed down her speed as she sensed the strong beast ahead. sky also woke up as it's been hours since faes were running and a sudden decrease in faes speed.
"baby there is a strong beast ahead. I am not sure if we can handle it or not with our current cultivation so I will try to avoid it what do you think?" faes asked sky as she stopped running and focused on the beast using her strong senses though she can't see it yet. 'the beast was not happy that they entered its territory without its consent
sky looked at faes and then towards where she was focusing. she seems to understand what faes was saying and nodded in agreement. faes saw sky nod and took a turn deciding to avoid the beast but what can she do if the beast itself decides to hunt her down?
when faes was taking a long way around the beast she noticed something and changed her path again and again. but still in the end the focus of the beast was on her no matter which direction faes went to.
faes was a little scared and also irritated that the beast just won't ignore her. faes even thought to use hide zero but she had used it today already for few hours in the morning and was unable to use it again until tomorrow.
faes stopped moving as she finally accepted that the beast won't let them pass without a fight no matter how hard they try to avoid it, so in this case, her only way to get past was to fight.
faes turned to sky again sighing
"it seems like that beast took a liking to us and won't let us go past without a fight. are you ready for some action?" faes asked excitedly though still a little scared.
sky nodded again as faes sensed her nervousness. to assure sky faes held her closer and rubbed her head
"don't worry nothing will happen to us, if we won't be able to fight it we will just enter mystic fog castle and train until we can before coming back," faes said but this was just an emergency plan that she kept. if they were seriously injured or were on the verge of collapsing then only faes would enter mystic fog castle while still fighting otherwise she would fight until she can or until the other party gets defeated.
sky nodded at faes again and jumped on faes shoulder while faes took out her sword.
faes and sky were not moving while they discussed and as they continued discussing the beast in question had begun approaching them. faes had noticed its movements long ago and had kept the focus on it. Soon, the beast appeared in her visual range and faes saw what it looked like, but it increased her excitement and decreased her fear.
you ask why? because in her previous life faes had been living in the city and haven't encountered any wild animals. faes had this weird habit of not getting scared of what she hadn't encountered and after encountering the fear leaves her on its own. faes was only scared of one thing and that was not the big brown bear in front of her eyes running towards them.
