''Why are you picking the rotten ones?'' - I asked Ellis as I saw him picking some of the brown fruits for the journey. Since the journey's going to take a two to three days if we don't stop in the middle, Ellis and I decided to start packing and leave this place in a few minutes.
''These? It's not rotten. Brown Umiez tastes so sweet and melt in your mouth. It's my favorite.'' - Ellis chirped, bet he really likes the boogie one.
''Really! It tastes like puke to me.'' - I said with a disgusting face.
''Oh, I get it now. Maybe humans have different taste than us. What does the blue Umiez tastes like?'' - He asked me with a questionable look.
''Watery. It feels like I'm eating water.''
''And it tastes super sour to me. See, we have different taste sense.'' - He said as he finally tied the rope of his large bag. I tried to help him, but he didn't let me do anything other than giving me more blue fruits to eat.
''Have you never had Umiez before?'' - He asked me after the short silence.
''Nope. Never even heard the name of.'' - I said, clueless.
''Umiez are such a common fruit. As much as I know, every country has this.''
''O-Oh, Is that so? Where I'm from might have different fruits which cannot be found here too. ahhaha'' - I finished with an unsettling smile, trying to cover up the lies a bit.
''Oh really?'' - He asked me with such curious eyes that I had no other choices but to tell him some of the fruits I have in our world, like mangoes, apples, oranges etc. I really love it how Ellis and I are getting closer by the passing moments.
''I've never heard of them.'' - He expressed. I'm glad that he didn't.
It's been only a few hours in this place, but something in me is telling me that I belong here. Everything is oddly comfortable here, like I'm from this place, not my real world. It'd be great if I could live here forever. Nothing interesting is in my real world anyway, my life is barely a life there.
We've been walking for 3–4 hours non-stop because of which my legs are sore as hell and my back hurts a lot. We chatted about loads of stuff. We talked about my hometown, the devices I use every day, and the life I have been living so far. To my surprise, Ellis wasn't very shocked hearing about the daily devices or products I use, because these things can also be found here. This world is a total Xerox copy of my world except for a few things like the name of each and every region and some new animals and fruits. Even the year and language is the same as ours, based on the region. This world is called 'Eureq' ... How interesting!
''Here, this is my village, Matenis.'' - Ellis stopped a little far, where we can see a small village full of Ellis's kind. Some are roaming around in a group, talking and laughing, some working and some are playing.
''Oh hey I remembered, when I was roaming around I saw a place just like this one, minus the Aekaruses. What was that place?'' - I asked curiously.
''hmm, maybe you were in the abandoned area. Nobody lives there because of an incident.''
''What incident?''
''I'll get you some once I have a chance, OK?''- I said with a smile.
''Cool. Oh! Packing has completed. How about we start moving now or are you going to wait a bit here.'' - Ellis asked me and I nodded negatively. Since I don't know when I'll be back to my world (If I really could) I better discover some more about this world.
