Chapter 7 - Never trust your friends on homework

It's been a week since Jonas lost his match in Gunslingers. Things have been going pretty smooth. The game has been wild filled with explosiveness and many members that had played the game have earned themselves self-esteem and confidence that would help them in the future.

There was also something about the game that kept Jonas thinking even after a week lost. Something he lost after the game is his abrasive anger which made things worse for the team but had no meaning to itself.

"If I have not been angry in the first place, our team might have won." Said Jonas who kept the analysis of the game.

"And if I hadn't underestimated Tim I could've dodged the bullets." Said Jonas in a low tone while taking this valuable lesson inside his head.

"I SHOULD NEVER UNDERESTIMATE ANYONE."

This was a skill he had learnt to use since his childhood. His parents always emphasised self-evaluation and analysis.

They told him that these two words were a real treasure which helped them many opportunities and survive the worst of the possible situation.

"Hmm were you saying something to me, young master," asked the butler Silvos.

"Nothing at the moment, but I, Frieda and Rich have planned to visit the Supermarket ." Said Jonas while hanging his school bag on the shoulder and waiting for his bus.

The school bus completes a whole round around the complex area taking in all the students related to the academy.

Apple Valley School is one of the oldest and the famous academy in Whole Medanth Town. The school as it is named is surrounded by apple elemental trees throughout the whole academy. Maintaining the flow of elemental fruits for the school resource management.

The bus stopped near the complex taking the students of the academy with.

Jonas got on the bus and spotted his friends sitting in the last corner as usual.

Jonas "Yo guys, good morning"

Rich was the first one to respond "Ya nice seeing you here"

Tim as usual was stuffing his mouth with cookies and others were engaged in their small talks.

Jonas found a seat and joined in their conversation.

Jonas "What are you talking about today."

Robin "Ah we were talking about the soccer match that happened yesterday."

Leon "Well you guys know that our parents love sports matches"

Tim chewing his remaining bits joining in the conversation.

"But they use their powers super cooly, I saw one guy using wind to change the opponent's perception which the other player responded by using water barrier."

Frieda said, "Yeah direct attacks are invalid in these small matches so they try their tricks obstructing their play."

Annie added "I have heard that some games don't forbid confrontation that results in fracture and bleeding"

Marsh "It's so scary"

Tim "I wish I could have powers like them"

Jonas "yes they are so cool, sometimes my parents use their powers like this" He imitated his parent's action concentrating power through his hands.

Listening to their conversation the upper-class kids interjected them saying" You guys have to wait two whole years to feel the elements surrounding you."

Frieda "Why can't we use it now."

Jonas said, "I guess our age is too young to control them."

Jane "No I think we could use them better than older people so they forbid us from using them."

Those kids added their assumptions continuing their journey toward the school.

The school junior section was divided into five classes for age groups 3 to 8.

Jonas and his classmates were in class 4 based on the criteria.

The classes were divided into 7 periods which included subjects like language, math, science, social science, Physical Training and Common knowledge.

Jonas was good in all of them while excelling in physical training and Common Knowledge.

Physical training as it is called is a subject focused on games, sports and physical fitness. Jonas and his friends were used to playing in the park while rolling and jumping on the ground.

So they always maintained top grade including fatty Tim. At the start of the yearly session, he was not good in physical assessment, but constant playing with his new friends honed his physical stamina excelling the subject.

While common knowledge focused on the stuff we could see and get access to in daily life. This stuff included knowledge about different commodities and domesticated plants and beasts found in the environment.

The students got into the class and the teacher started the class while demanding their homework.

Jonas has the habit of spending time outside rather than spending his whole day in his home. So he sometimes comes without the homework. Today was the particular day.

Teacher "All those who have not submitted the home assignment. Stand up."

Getting the teacher's call all the student started standing up one by one. They knew the punishment that would befall them.

The teacher asked the student their reason for not completing the task.

Some gave the excuse of a headache some said that they were out with their parents while some honest ones called that they hadn't done the work.

It was Jonas turn, he crafted some premium excuses but just left them in the corner of his mind. He gave the excuse of going out with his parents.

The punishment arrived. Their class teacher was known for his earth elemental.

Teacher "Now write 'I will Do my homework' on 10 pages," Teacher said while adding his elemental power to their hands making them much heavier.

After all this, the class resumed and ended. This repeated till the last bell hung when the students packed their respective thing and got towards their bus.

"It hurts, aww," said Jonas while clutching his hand with his other one. They were sore after writing so much.

"Who told you to roam outside all day," said Rich nonchalantly.

"How the heck do you guys get time for the homework." Said Jonas while glaring at his other friends. Who just nonchalantly said in Rich voice "Well we do it after playing"
