"Who would of thought your mom wouldn't have shown up?"
"I'm glad she didn't..."
"Why? Your mom isn't that bad of a person."
"You only say that because you get along with her. If you didn't, you would understand why everyone tries to run away whenever she is mentioned. It's like that woman is some sort of demon that you can't say it's name out loudly."
"That's kind of a harsh way to describe your mom", says Rachel in a concern voice. "You say it's harsh, I say it's an accurate portrayal of her", says Fausto.
The two them are outside of the local police station but before they go in, Rachel stops Fausto. " Do you remember what you are going to say?", she asks with authority. Fausto brushes her off and says, "Yeah, yeah I remember. I am not going to mention anything about the forest or the soldiers." She looks at him with doubt and says, "Good, That's good and what are you going to say instead?" Fausto sighs, "Me and Paul got lost while we were hiking and we eventually found our way back home... This won't work Rachel."
"And Paul? Where's Paul", she interrupts. Fausto becomes upset that she isn't even trying to understand his perspective. Not only that but he is the one that needs to speak to the cops. He holds more stakes than she does but she is still trying to push her story onto him. "For my own safety?", he questions himself. Fausto believes that it is much better to go along with her plan. After all, if he does get openly upset again, it's only going to make Rachel mad.
"Paul went back home to family, out of happiness", mutters Fausto. "Good boy", Rachel sweetly says as she pats his head.
They both enter the police station to find that the normal police officers are not there, instead it is the military police. Soldiers decked out in green camouflage uniforms, run back and forth between the rooms. It is a complete mess of what these soldiers are doing, there is no form of communication with them.
"Excuse me? I would like to talk to the local sheriff", calls out Rachel with the most formal voice she can create. Her voice doesn't stop the commotion, they look like they are trying to look for something within the station as quick as possible.
"Hey! You! Get out of here! This is official military police business and we are shutting this place down!", yells out one of the soldiers while he marches towards Fausto and Rachel with speed. He begins to shove both of them out the door and Rachel tries to ask, "What is going on here?! Please we just wanted to report a missing person's update!"
However it doesn't work, the soldier just pushes them out and throws them down the small set of stairs leading to the door of the police station. When he closes the door, they can hear him, "Kennedy! I thought I told you to watch the door! No civilians, you fucking idiot!"
"Sorry sir, I was taking a leak."
Fausto looks over to Rachel and sees that her knee was scraped when she was thrown out. He runs to her aid but she shoos him away, "It's alright, I'm alright." He tells her, "See I told you something wrong was happening around here. Why would they be in there causing a mess. Do you believe me now?" Rachel takes a look around her, trying to understand what is trying to go on. "Rachel!", yells out Fausto trying to get her attention. "Don't you understand what I am trying to tell you?!"
"Yeah", Rachel says softly. Fausto stands up and helps her up. "What are we going to do?", asks Rachel. "I don't know... Why don't we just start walking down the street yelling and screaming that there is some fuckery going on in this place?", sarcastically says Fausto.
"Someone Help! Everyone run!"
Fausto grabs Rachel's mouth to shut her up and he says, "No I was just playing!" Rachel begins to flail as she starts to understand what her situation is. "So what is going to happen, what's been happening Fausto?! We should leave like your friend."
"Oh, so now he's not an asshole, he's my friend."
"Fausto stop playing around we have to get going!" screams out Rachel as he grabs her by the hand and leads her back to his house. "Where are we going?", asks Rachel with fear in her voice.
"Don't worry, if anybody knows what is going on, it's gotta be that guy. The world's most nosiest person", says Fausto as he drags Rachel by the hand, running in between streets and alleyways. As they are running, in the distance, Rachel then begins to hear a faint cry of a siren. She asks, "Do you hear that?" and he replies with, "Hear what? Don't worry we are almost there. It's around this corner I think." They turn around the corner to a small house with beautiful flowers on the edge of the property. Fausto opens the small picket fence and rushes towards the front door.
"Who's house is this?", nervously asks Rachel.
Fausto knocks on the door with so much weight and speed, that he only needed three knocks to let anyone in the house know that someone is at the door but he knocks on the door so many times that he could probably destroy the door or even the house. "Man, please tell me he is here", says Fausto to himself. "Who would be here goddamn it, and who would let you in with you knocking like that", says Rachel.
From the other side of the door, they can hear large footsteps on what sounds like hardwood floor. The door knob slowly turns and a big, bald man opens the door. "Fausto... is that you!?", says the man. He closes the door, followed by the sounds of multiple locks being turned. The door swings open to show that it's John with a new haircut, that makes him look goofy.
"John!... Oh man, you look funny", giggles Fausto.
