After returning from park, Yeon reported to the Afterlife Immigration Office.
He wasn't happy about having to catch the gumiho bride, but his boss Taluipa sitting on the chair seemed all relaxed, being the god of the border of life and death, she told him to just follow the given orders.
Hearing those words, he lose his temper, ready to be done with his mandatory service that's already been lasted for 600 years.
She whipped out his contract, reminding him that he himself chose this service in exchange for 'that' girl's reincarnation. She cheekily offered to discharge him and burn his contract, but he hastily attempted to blow out her conjured flame.
Hyun eui-ong, gatekeeper and weigher of a soul's sins, interrupted their squabbling. He was a fat middle aged man with rather undistinguished looks. Yeon raises hand for a high-five but his high-five is left hanging, as Hyun Eui-ong yells, "Honey!" and rushes to Taluipa. He softly and tries to get Taluipa to understand Yeon's love-induced pain.
While Ji-ah investigated red foxes at her office, Jae-hwan rushed in with CCTV footage of Yeon.
Everyone puzzled over the fact that there's no footage of the bride exiting the wedding hall. Yeon left alone with his red umbrella. Ji-ah recognizes the umbrella obscuring Yeon's face as the one, her mysterious stranger in the lobby carried.
Whereas,Yeon meets with Shin-joo in the restaurant SNAIL BRIDE to grab some food.
As they eat, Shin-joo said
"aiyaaa~ how can you so be careless? What if she found about your real identity? "
Yeon was accustomed to his 'panicking' behaviour, so he was enjoying the delicacy infront of him.
Shin-joo has been working with him for years.
As they complete their meal and return to the counter, they see an ad about the 'wedding ceremony' where the bride suddenly disappeared and the picture of Yeon holding his red umbrella.
After seeing the news the owner of the snail bride who also is a gumiho speaks
"Yeon you should not use this umbrella for sometime"
"I won't. If "that human" thinks that she can chase me, I won't disappoint her."
After saying those words and glancing at the tv for sometime, he left the snail bride.
Elsewhere, Ji-ah meets a smiley, bumbling
boy, LEE RANG for an interview.
He was wearing a very common outfit that most of the teenagers would wear. He was wearing nerdy glasses but that couldn't hide the evil glint in his eyes.
He claimed that he's a fan of her show "Search for Urban Myths" and claims to have seen Yeon,
"Is it true that u have seen this person?"
Ji-ah puts a picture of Yeon holding his umbrella in front of Rang.
He looks at the picture and nods.
"I had seen him while I was returning from my job , I followed him and saw his powers. I think that he was not a human, but a monster who doesn't age or die."
"Okay, I believe you, so where do you study as a student?"
"Seoul high school. I study there on scholarship. I came from the countryside to study here, my mom is not really in good condition, so I do part time job."
Ji-ah was skeptical, but he insisted he's telling the truth. After noting his expensive shoes and lack of accent from his poor student story, Ji-ah bid him farewell .
"Fox Ridge,"
"Huh?!"
After hearing this she was rooted to the floor. Fox ridge, the place where her whole world was turned upside down in one night, she could help but return to Rang , and ask him about fox ridge.
"I didn't thought that you would be so smart , anyways I had seen Yeon in the fox ridge. I hope u haven't forget about 'the accident'."
Ji-ah was lost in her thoughts when she noticed Rang was already gone.
___________
In the parking garage, Rang magically goes from bespectacled farm boy to suave rich boy and hops in Gi yoo ri's car.
Rang smirked as he notes that Ji-ah didn't miss a thing saying she's smart and he likes her.
Yoo-ri was Rang's subordinate, she too was a gumiho. She had fair skin and was very beautiful.
Yoo-ri excitedly looks at Rang and says
"Shall we eat her?"
"No, atleast no yet"
He just looked out of the window and smiled.
