Upon hearing a shrill howl, Hellion alerted, mumbling, "What was that?"
He could swear that he felt the ground shaking beneath him for a few moments. He looked over at Claudia but she hadn't woken up. For a brief moment, he was torn between the choice of whether to leave her there and go see what it was or take her with him.
Soon he had decided and picked her up with their stuff, following the direction of the strange sound. It was so loud and clear that he was certain about which direction it came from and it also sounded somewhere really close.
He climbed a meters high dune with Claudia in his arms before an unexpected sight rolled before his eyes, on the other side. His lips parted as he took in the appearance of what seemed like a whole new world.
