The great Sphinx of Giza stood high and unbothered under the gold hue of glistening sunlight. From the front it was just a limestone statue of a human head with the traditional egyptian headpiece but what made it appear uncanny was its backside which consisted of a body of a lion or cat in a sitting position.
There was a huge Pyramid right behind the Sphinx's statue and some other smaller ones alongside. The smaller ones have been excavated with the help of archeologists of the time. The process resulted in discovery of many valuable items including jewels and a hefty amount of gold-made objects.
