Lethal Stinger is taking a shower. he has bruises in his body. he hears a strange noise. he gets out of the bathroom holding a gun. he looks at two guys dressed in suits with masks. he shoots at both of them. they fall badly wounded.
"who send you?"
Lethal Stinger asks.
there is no answer from them. there is another guy on the entrance. Lethal Stinger shoots at him. he asks him the same question and he yields the name of his boss Mark C Miller Jr. Lethal Stinger finishes them. he puts some clothes on and he leaves his house.
Lethal Stinger sends a message to Don Gratiano informing him that he has some problems to solve. is probably that Don Gratiano may know who is the problem he has to solve. it took more than a decade for Lethal Stinger to desire his freedom. he is willing to fight for his freedom against his own master.
earlier on the morning in the lab...
Vladimir Petrov is having breakfast with Professor Barnett Villan. Vladimir is letting him know that he is thinking about leaving the city for some time. he wants to deal with some business outside of the city. Professor Barnett Villan understands his situation. the Professor himself has a few things that he left unsolved outside of the city.
Vladimir accepts that he is tired of the dangerous life style of Heroic City and he really wants to go back to his home. Professor Barnett Villan doesn't need of him anymore now that he has Ted on his side. the Professor thanks him for the help he bring to his project and he asks him if he wants to see the results of his help.
Vladimir accepts without thinking in what he was about to see. all he wanted to do was leave to his home. Professor Villan walks him deep inside of the lab in a corner that is out of limits for almost everyone.
only some including Professor Villan can enter in that zone. Vladimir follows him and he is witness of a dead body inside of some kind of chamber. Professor Villan presses a button and some smoke enters inside of the chamber. the dead body starts to move abruptly and it stands up by itself. Vladimir was so shock that nothing was any longer rational.
"let me explain this. that is the creature that we created with your resources and my money. because it is a monster like the one of my favorite book I named him 'Viktor' he is not complete.... but isn't he beautiful enough to feel like a god? I mean if the description of a god is interpreted as a being able to give life, that is what I just did."
Vladimir was horrified to see something so cruel and horrible. he wanted to throw up when he understood that all this time Professor Villan only used him to fill his capricious ego. that wasn't the act of a man but of a monster feeding his ego. a monster has created another monster.
Vladimir looked away feeling responsible for the horrible fate that awaits that creature inside of the chamber. there was nothing to do. what is done can't be undo. the creature or 'Viktor' which was its given name. it has a cruel path to walk on darkness if it even survives. something like that wasn't meant to be.
at this point Vladimir had no doubt that Professor Villan wasn't a madman but something even worst. he needed to get away of such insane man if he wishes to leave alive. he wasn't able to conceal his fear anymore. who can hide the horror that you feel when you see a monster like that?
Vladimir was trembling and breathing loudly but for his luck the Professor didn't care enough to notice. he was only looking at his creation in the same way a father looks at his baby. he was admiring the beauty of the monster that he was creating. he couldn't hide any longer his god complex.
"he is wonderful indeed. the more I look at it, the more it fascinates me. he was the ultimate creation of this god-like hands of mine. I never thought for a second that I.... I never saw this coming. I am just a talented scientist like no other."
Professor Villan was still appreciating his creation. Vladimir started to move slowly and when he saw the opportunity he ran as fast as it was humanly possible. when Professor Villan notice the absence of the gangster he didn't care because he was too weak to be an obstacle on his plans. Viktor needed of a few adjustments to be presentable for the board members.
later before midnight on a restaurant.....
Don Gratiano was having dinner with Mr Blue-Ribbon. they wanted to talk about different matters (after their first meeting they became best friends.) Mr Blue-Ribbon told him about his meeting with Gluttonyc Justice early in the morning. Don Gratiano asks him why was he talking with a dangerous Former Hero. Mr Blue-Ribbon told him about his conversation with Chiko about Lucky-Hit.
Don Gratiano knew who Lucky-Hit was and he was terrified with the idea of his return. even in his days of youth he was able to see monster like that which were able to bring fear inside of his heart. against a monster like that wasn't worth fighting if the outcome is a bloody and atrocious end.
"if you ever are in front of him, run."
those were the only words of wisdom that Don Gratiano had to offer.
if some legends of the old times are scared of a Former Hero that became evil then Mr Blue-Ribbon couldn't even imagine how powerful he really was. with only thinking about it he was already trembling. he better be careful in a city like this one death can be around of the corner waiting for you.
"is he really that dangerous?"
asked Mr Blue-Ribbon aloud.
Don Gratiano told him a few war tales in which a Hero with monstrous power almost destroyed the whole city. Mr Blue-Ribbon has something to do so he thanks the old man for the companionship. he asks him to have another conversation the next time they see each other. Don Gratiano told him that he had doubts about a next time.
Ted Wayne Whitley gets inside of the restaurant and he walks directly towards Don Gratiano. he sits in front of him. Ted Wayne puts a small dagger on the table. he is doing his hair. Ted Wayne looks at the people around of them in the restaurant. he seems a bit nervous. he scratches his neck.
"do you know I used that dagger on my best friend? he was the only guy in who I ever trusted. he knew absolutely everything about me. he knew every secret that I hold dear to my heart and it was for that same reason that I had to use the dagger on him."
said Ted Wayne with a creepy smile.
"that is a lovely story. what happened after?"
asks Don Gratiano knowing what is coming after.
"but you know..... don't you?"
Ted Wayne takes a gun out of his pockets and he aims at Don Gratiano. other people in the restaurant are looking at him in horror. Don Gratiano knew what he was about to do. he knew that his time was coming to an end soon.
Ted Wayne starts to talk to himself while he is getting really nervous knowing that if he kills Don Gratiano he is declaring war to the Bellucci Family. the reason why he is going to kill him is because that was a request from Professor Villan. if he kills him the Professor is going to give him access to everything related to the 'resurrect project.'
Ted Wayne stands up. he squeezes the trigger. a bullet hits Don Gratiano in the stomach. Don Gratiano grins holding the pain. Ted Wayne shoots multiple times at Don Gratiano who falls on the floor bleeding a lot. Ted Wayne reloads his gun and he walks around of the restaurant shooting at people at random.
Don Gratiano opens his eyes and he looks at the empty restaurant. he hears noises. he doesn't feel brave enough to see the bullet wounds on his body but he can feel it. he can feel the pain and the cold blood running out of his body. he drags himself feeling the coming of his last breath.
Don Gratiano hears the voice of his cousin coming inside of the restaurant with many of his sidekicks. Don Gratiano turns around to see him one last time before it is too late. Arristide and Blind Thief are in front of him. Arristide calls to the emergency number asking for an ambulance for his friend.
two hours ago on the Bellucci Mansion.....
Arristide is in his office taking care of some documents. he hears a noise and he goes to the bathroom. when he gets out of the bathroom he walks on the hallway where he looks at Blind Thief waiting for him in a sofa. Blind Thief wants to know about his next job.
Arristide feels like something is wrong. he knows that something isn't right but he doesn't know why he feels so much fear and so empty. he talks about it with Blind Thief trying to find comfort in the words of his friend. Blind Thief asks him to talk in detail about that something that makes him feel fear.
Arristide calls Don Gratiano but no one answers his call. he asks Blind Thief if his cousin has any bodyguards with him. he has the feeling that something really bad is going to happen. Blind Thief calls some guys and he orders them to follow Don Gratiano.
"don't worry sir everything is going to be alright. I am going to make sure that no one ever touches you or the other boss."
said Blind Thief assuring him that everything is going to be okay.
Arristide tells him about a horrible nightmare that he had last night. he describes the nightmare and he explains that in the nightmare he lost everyone dear to him and he was alone. he was lost without anyone to guide him or help him.
Blind Thief tells him that he is always going to be at his side. Blind Thief assures him that there is nothing to fear. Arristide is feeling unwell and Blind Thief is trying really hard to make his boss smile but everything that he says seems to not be enough.
Arristide hugs him and he talks about his childhood memories at his side. Arristide tells him that he is as happy as he is right now thanks to him. he explains that he has been his only friend in his whole life and without a friend like him he could had never ever be happy at all.
"I know you are my boss and I am meant to see you like my boss and nothing else. but to me, you are also my only friend and I could had never asked for a better friend."
Arristide laughs after hearing Blind Thief's honest thoughts. they laught together as they start talking about different things. Blind Thief feels better now that his boss is no longer worry.
"please don't ever leave my side. you are like my little brother. promises me that you are going to be at my side forever."
"of course sir. I am your loyal lapdog."
a butler is looking at them feeling uneasy about the relationship of those two. he knows that a Lord and a servant are never meant to be friends or treat each other like family. he thinks that there is something that needs to be done about Blind Thief and he isn't the only one who thinks like that.
the name of the butler is Alvin Knight and he has been working for the Bellucci family his whole life. the man was able to work for Don Gratiano's father in his early days.
before midnight on Mark C Miller Jr's residence....
Mark C Miller Jr is dealing with some documents. someone knocks on the door. he allows him to enter. Lethal Stinger opens the door. Lethal Stinger sits in a chair as he starts to talk about one of his firsts missions. Mark C send people to kill him in the morning. the reason why he is here is clearer than water.
"I was loyal to you for about two decades since you took me in. here is a question for you. in those years when were you ever grateful for my service?"
asks Lethal Stinger trying to believe that there is some good on his boss.
"do I own you anything? you ungrateful lapdog. you came to do something so you better not walk away and be done with this if you have the balls to do it."
yields Mark C Miller Jr looking down on him.
"I really was hopeful that maybe I was wrong. I really wanted to believe that you were a good guy, I was only being blinded by my stupidity. my desire to see good on you. but you are unable to feel."
Mark opens a drawer from his desk. he is about to take a gun. Lethal Stinger turns his arms on the claws of a praying mantis. he stabs Mark C multiple times in the stomach. with one claw he stabs him in the left eye. he turns his arms back to human arms. Lethal Stinger throws a coin at Mark's face.
Lethal Stinger leaves the office covered on Mark's blood. many guards and employees are trying to stop him but they are nothing in comparison with him. he turns multiple parts of his body in natural weapons as he slaughters everyone who gets on his way. every person holding a gun on that house was dead at the moment Lethal Stinger left.
even when Mark was abruptly attacked he was still alive. with more honesty he was the only survivor of that brutal attack. he was hiding a little secret that only he knows. the truth is that he has in inverse the same power that his son holds. the difference is that his son becomes more powerful when others believe in him but in Mark's case, he becomes more powerful when he believes more in something (his case his greed.)
half of his wounds healed by itself. the only wound that he can't heal is the wound on his eye. he is still bleeding. he falls unconscious on the floor. Jonathan arrive at his home that night and he called for an ambulance.
