Chereads / Demonic Host Against The Bloodline / Chapter 28 - Hemomancy

Chapter 28 - Hemomancy

Master Michal took them towards the valley of qi, where the exceptional vampires were trained. Since the vampire realm in general was exposed to any kind of threat by other mythical beings. Every vampire kingdom supposedly sent their best youngsters to the Solarian kingdom.

The particular kingdom was the second strongest among the four. It was the only matter on which all four kingdoms were on the same page. Xandaya had the lowest number of soldiers due to the weakest blood core. It was once the reigning kingdom when nobles (O bloodline) resided there.

Thus, Zaiden being the only volunteer snagged attention of the higher ups. And the recent unusual events called for the trouble, which were luckily hidden by Master Michal intentionally. He wanted to verify his hunch by the punishment prepared for both of them.

Ellen and Zaiden both successfully summoned their elemental beasts. It was impossible to use the spell without any proper prior training. Master Michal was keenly interested to see behind their facades, and the best way was to push their limits.

A vampire's power level could barely reach twenty percent with those exercises they had been practising. Master Michal had assumed their attunement was already past 20%. Or else they would have faced the side effects of attempting the powerful spell.

They reached a valley a few miles away from the academy, it was basically huge mountains all around. And a cup shaped flat surface in the middle, Zaiden felt dizzy as soon as they entered the valley. Ellen experienced a sharp pain in her forearm which was covered under the full sleeves.

Both of them experienced the after effects, Zaiden tore his mental sphere of subconsciousness while Ellen' skin was burnt. The energy flow within the valley surged underground, which was higher apparently to support powerful spells.

{What is this place? The dark magic here is temptingly flowing.}

The demon could feel the blood sorcery being practiced there. Whereas Curtis saw the pop up notification, which was noticed by Zaiden too.

Power level for Zaiden was solely based on the powers attainted by the female vampire's serum. It increased his attunement level up to 25% which contrasted with his weak physical state. On the other hand Ellen's power level was on the par with him, but the reason behind it was her competition with Aaron.

To keep up with her reputation and to appear as his match, Ellen excelled her attunement level comparatively her batch mates. Master Michal led them towards the building in the midst of the valley. He aimed to train both of them via the punishment, which was actually a test to see true nature of their powers.

The blood demon art and blood sorcery were directly connected to blood manipulation and hemomancy. The demon within Zaiden was skilled in hemomancy, but due to the lack of physical body he was unable to use it.

Whereas Zaiden had the higher chances of learning the arts due to his chaos element. But the process was time consuming due to the seal over his blood core. Upon demon's instructions Zaiden was successful in awakening his blood core with the blood manipulation

However it didn't increase his attunement level due to other lackings. The elemental beast both of them summoned was a mere illusion of what possibly could be real. Their blood elemental creatures didn't merge due to the wrong execution. Master Michal figured out their potential and picked both of them as his disciples. While Aaron was excluded due to his recovery.

'The stats seemed to be disturbing. But now that this master brought us here, the punishment isn't a labor I believe.'

Zaiden and Ellen both had similar thoughts, but they kept quiet preferring to observe for now. The building in front of them radiated a strong yet dark aura, it seemed an old castle turned into an academy with greenery all around.
