Curtis discovered the kingdom's first outlook after he came out, the butler could see the moon and two planets in the sky. The ground was lit and had underground strange metals to produce light.
The light spread across the kingdom seemingly looking like lava. Behind the academy a few miles away the royal castle stood, it was covered with mountains from three sides.
Greenery was at its peak all around the kingdom, the buildings resembled human world. In comparison Xandaya gave medieval vibes with strong foothold of status quo.
"This information is not enough."
Zaiden closed the book which he finished in an hour, no wonder he was known for his exceptional geniuses. His hunger for knowledge was still not satiated, Zaiden looked out for the librarian.
'Now that I know about this realm, all I need to figure out is the pattern of strengths.'
The history book contributed a lot of knowledge to him, Zaiden was fully aware of the class system now. But the book had no scripts on the distribution of powers and magic.
The boy stood up and walked towards the librarian to ask for a book with the desired knowledge. A boy walked in the library with two lackeys, his face was burning red.
"Which brat dared to offend my girlfriend?"
Aaron shouted demanding a name, his authoritative voice had successfully snagged attention. Zaiden waited for somebody to stand up to his command, but everyone remained quiet.
His lackeys skimmed through the hall, using their powers their lower half abdomen turned into black smoke. It helped them to fly and float throughout the library, while they both searched for the target.
Aaron's glaring eyes landed on Zaiden as he walked in. The librarian didn't have any say in the matter, because he valued his human life and wanted to breathe longer.
"You are the one, filth from Xandaya."
He spat with hatred and formed a visible surge of energy around his fists. Zaiden shook his head with irritation, he didn't want any trouble again. But Ellen's boyfriend was there to give him a tough hour.
"I don't think so you are looking for me."
Zaiden tried to drop the issue and settle down with negotiation. Aaron was one of the excellent disciples, belonging to class A had given him perks and earned respect. Whereas Zaiden's class was not known since he didn't have any record of existence in kingdom Xandaya.
"Oh yes, I am."
Aaron grabbed him by collar and glared straight into his eyes. Zaiden saw his pupils changing and eyes becoming crimson.
"How bold of you to offend my woman!"
Aaron's canines grew into fangs while Zaiden shrugged off his hands. He hissed with rage whereas the rest kids seemed eager to watch a good show.
_"This kid is done for."
_"Who is he? Is he unaware of master Aaron?"
_"Don't worry he will know after today, not to offend the high ups."
_"Oh my goodness, will we see master Aaron in action again?"
'It seems this kid has some feared reputation. But I'm getting agitated for this shitty treatment, I need power to bam their heads.'
Zaiden had already figured it out that he lacked in the scuffle with Ellen. Standing up to Aaron without matching strength was simply asking for a beating.
"Do they allow seniors to bully freshers here? I thought the situation would be better here comparatively Xandaya."
The boy mocked by hitting the right spot, while Curtis appeared in the hall. The butler couldn't do anything, despite having a human scapegoat present in the room to possess.
"What would you know about anything better here, you trash. I don't even know why would Solarians enroll useless trash from Xandaya."
Aaron mocked him and threw a punch on Zaiden's face, he was caught off guard and didn't expect any attack incoming. Zaiden fell on the ground with a small bruise on the corner of his lips.
Zaiden didn't realize that his wound healed in the matter of seconds, while Aaron was not surprised. Vampires were bestowed the blessing of healing and it was a common trait among all of them.
But what made Zaiden's blood peculiar was the disappearance. The drop of blood which fell on the ground disappeared imminently, forming a dark patch on the carpeted floor.
"I don't know why they let arrogant brats like you to stay!"
Zaiden's words infuriated him and Aaron charged at him with the reddened energy swirling around his fists. He aimed for Zaiden's head but before he could hit him with a hard blow, Zaiden reflexively dodged.
To his surprise the movement slowed down, every person in the room paused for a moment. Zaiden was equally puzzled upon the sudden change in the surroundings.
Ding!
The notification popped up.
[One privilege has been unlocked.]
[Time span: available every 48 hours.]
[Usage: will last 10 seconds.]
Zaiden exclaimed with joy and noticed the timer ticking. But considering he had a few seconds to plan ahead, the boy carefully studied Aaron's posture.
"This ability to slow down the time is awesome. I should name it 'snail' since it's not really a pause button."
He positioned himself to attack Aaron in his face before the timer expired.
"Pain should travel faster since the sensors work efficiently in humans. It shouldn't be different for vampire, they bleed red too."
Zaiden clenched his fists and punched Aaron in nose as hard as he could. He crouched down and punched him in tummy with a satisfied grin.
"Haha, you are done today, you arrogant prick!"
The timer ended and Zaiden dodged Aaron's fist by hair length, not arise suspicion about his newly found perk. A loud groan resonated in the library with numerous shocked faces staring at Zaiden Rivers.
