At 10:30 am in the morning Marcus was in the middle of the meeting with his team, versus a team from Netflix who were looking to collaborate upon an upcoming documentary which was based on real life event. However Diana couldn't stop herself from interrupting Marcus with some flirty texts "I want you to bend me over a table" it read one text, and Marcus smiled. Then another one "I realized I haven't yet felt you inside my tongue, I bet you are so big I will have hard time breathing" and that sent his nerves over the roof and he got a boner right there in the middle of the meeting.
"Sir, are you alright?" Phoebe asked him especially after he looked like he was having a hard time trying to stay steady.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm good. Let's proceed" said Marcus then he gave his phone to Phoebe just so he doesn't get so distracted.
A representative from Netflix cleared his throat, then he proceeded "So like we said earlier, we could both benefit from this story. It's a coming of age tale, it's authentic and non fiction. On my team we can produce this in two weeks, but then again it's your story and this person who claims to be a victim..." He didn't even get to finish before Marcus quickly hoped up to his feet.
"I'm sorry gentlemen, I'll be right back" he said and walked away with his phone.
There was nothing that could stop Marcus and masturbating at that moment - not even a meeting which could change the world of filmmaking and careers of most of the people who depended on the project. He returned to the meeting after a good ten minutes feeling refreshed and ready, he even washed his face and the first thing Phoebe did was to give him a handkerchief. The meeting went on but while all that was happening, Diana had no idea that her text messages had an effect on Marcus.
She was just not that occupied sitting inside her office waiting for Khloe, they had a case on Monday and she was waiting to prep her. Martin failed last night in eliminating the target, but he promised himself to finish the work today.
Khloe was inside a motel which she was sure it was remote and not easily recognized. After meeting Marcus she was hesitant whether to proceed with meeting Diana or just leave her alone - possibly to find out on her own what type of a person Marcus was. But then she saw how happy Marcus was last night "How does he get to find happiness? After all that he did to me, how does he get to be happy?" she said to herself and that kept her interested in meeting Diana again.
Hence she called Vanessa, and booked an appointment with Diana as per scheduled. "I'll be there at noon" she said.
"She's gonna be here at noon" Vanessa told Diana.
"Noon? Who sets up meetings at noon? I'll be sleeping my ass off at noon, but whatever... let's see how we can help her"
"What is going between you and Marcus?" asked Vanessa, she waited for a while before shooting that question.
"What?"
"I see you two are so close, first WrestleMania and now evening strolls. But he looks like a good guy, and he's hot"
"Is he though? A good guy?"
"Marcus?"
"Yes, does he give that good guy vibe?" asked Diana, but she was mainly trying to figure out Marcus.
"Why you asking?"
"I just... he..." Diana hesitated, then she looked at Vanessa.
"He what?"
"He tried to kidnap me a few days a go... and I kinda lost it. He wasn't like himself you know... he was a bit controlling and out of his mind. But the yesterday he apologized and... did this Beyonce's lap dance for me"
Diana remained silent after telling Vanessa the whole story, then she exhaled and tried to get a breather.
"Lap dance?"
"Yeah, like with the whole single ladies vibes. More like Pause, but with a white Billy Porter. He did the Vogue dance too"
Vanessa was shocked and she busted out laughing "No way... He did that?"
"Yes he did"
"Where?"
"Times Square, in front of everyone. It was his way of showing me that he can be soft, and volatile, not controlling and crazy. But he... confuses me"
"Honey, all men are confusing. I say you give him a time of the day and be done with him"
"I'll see how it all goes" replied Diana with a smile, and this time she even forgot about Linda's death and the possibility of Marcus being a victim.
Khloe requested an Uber to Order and Justice Law Firm and it arrived sooner than she expected, however this time she didn't know that Martin hacked her phone and directed all her information to him instead of actually to the Uber.
"Good morning..." said Khloe entering the car in the back seat and closed the door, then she fasten her seatbelts.
"Morning Khloe" Martin turned back and the second Khloe saw who it was, she reached out for the door but it was locked.
Fear overcame Khloe and she was like a child who just lost her parents in the circus, she desperately tried to open the doors on both ways but they were locked - her breaths were short and she was clearly panicking.
"You are wasting your time they are locked" Martin told her.
"I'll call the cops"
"And get you arrested for getting inside the country illegally, that'll give you five good years without a parole. Do you wanna risk it?"
"What do you want?"
"What are you doing here Khloe? You trying to get yourself killed?" asked Martin, but in a very concerned tone. He was actually thinking about her safety and caring whether she lives or not.
"What do you care Martin? He lives a good life, while I lost everything. I lost my husband, I lost my job, and my citizenship. He ruined my life..."
"You want revenge then, don't you? Do you even know what sort of danger you are actually gonna be in when he sees you again? You were supposed to die last night, he wants you dead"
"He's been wanting me dead ever since the day he killed my husband. He needs to be stopped Marcus, tell me you don't agree with me"
"I don't agree with you Khloe, and you know what... he's my boss, I do what he says"
"Well then why didn't you kill me last night?" she asked. "It's because you also know that he needs to be stopped. How many women must be traumatized before you say it's actually enough?"
The words that Khloe talked about, got into Martin's head and he was actually silent for a moment letting it all in, he kept thinking about how he went from being a solider serving the country and people to actually taking place in murderer of innocent women for the pleasure of one man he was serving. That wasn't himself and he knew it, but Khloe was really getting into his parts which he thought were hidden and they needed to stay far for he didn't want it to ruin his work.
"If you meet Diana today, or if I see you getting near her office I will shoot you and I won't hesitate" said Martin looking straight at Khloe, he wasn't playing no games.
Khloe shook her head "Then what soldier? Is that what you want? For your life to be based on killing innocent women just because your so called boss doesn't approve of them?"
"I mean it Khloe, I will do it"
"Fine, then shoot me"
"Khloe..."
"Go on Martin, shoot me right here or let me go" she gave him an ultimatum.
"Are you out of your mind? Do you know who you dealing with? A man who makes one billion dollars in a year, there's no courthouse that can convict him cause he'll buy out every judge, every prosecutor and the police. You will not win against him"
"I don't care about winning Martin, I want his life ruined" screamed Khloe "And I won't rest until he's ruined, he doesn't get to have a girlfriend and be happy while he ruined my happiness. He shot my husband in front of me, I have to do this even if it's not for me but for my husband" Khloe finished talking and then she started crying, her emotions were all over the place and the memories of her late husband overcame her.
Martin sighed, there he had a decision to either shoot Khloe and be done with it or let her go to Diana and ruin Marcus's relationship. One thing for sure he was aware of was Marcus would know what he did, he always finds out things even the most discreet ones he never shares with him - so now what would he do.
