The connection was formed and even between two of them, each knew exactly what they wanted from the other person yet still waited for the perfect time, or for the other person to take the first move. Only this time Marcus didn't wait and he kissed Diana the moment they were inside his room, he went for a peck and Diana completely immersed herself in Marcus's tongue and didn't let go.
A very deep and passionate kiss which was rough, yearning, stimulating and romantic sent Diana to the bed while Marcus was on top of him - he didn't want to let go either but he knew it was too early for him to show that he wanted Diana that much, so he stopped.
"I... Um... We need to take it slow" he said and sat on the bed.
Diana was a bit disappointed, but also she wanted to understand Marcus's situation at that moment. It had been days since they actually started to go out and now she was all over him, she thought how irresponsible of her to go after him like that.
"I'm sorry..." she said softly.
"Diana, please don't apologise you didn't do anything wrong. It's just... I want you more than you will ever know" Marcus's hands were all over Diana's face caressing her softly "It's always been you"
"Always?"
"Believe me, I would make love to you like a woman right now and do all the things I wanted to do but... I can't"
"It's alright Marcus. We can always reschedule..." she said with a smile while leaning on his back.
"Will you hate me for that?"
Diana sighed "I will never hate you Marcus, never"
The word "hate" was a very strong word to Marcus, she looked at Diana and thought about the day Martin drove a bullet through Jacob's heart and then finished him with the one on his head. He thought what would happen if Diana finds out the truth, what will she do or how will she feel.
"Diana..." he said.
"Mmh-hmm"
"Would you hate someone if they did something so unforgivable?"
"What do you mean unforgivable?"
"I mean... something which can't be forgiven?" Marcus leaned in and then placed his head on Diana's thighs. "Let's say murder"
"Murder?"
"Yes, would you forgive someone for murder?" he asked.
Diana grew suspicious and anxious about the questions Marcus was asking her. Just when she was about to speak, Katherine barged inside the room shouting. "Let go of me Martin..." Katherine said then she was awestruck at the image displayed before her.
Marcus quickly hoped to his feet and walked towards Katherine, while Diana remained silent sitting still on the bed.
"Sir, I tried..." said Martin.
"It's alright Martin, thank you"
"Sir"
Marcus left the room and closed the door, Katherine was out of breath and she was struggling to keep it together. Tears were rolling down between her cheeks and the moment she wanted to speak, Marcus placed his finger between his lips. "Shshsh" he said. "Now turn back and go home"
"I will not go home Marcus. Is she the bitch you've been seen?"
Marcus erupted like a volcano lava and his face was red "Do not call Diana a bitch! You are the bitch, now the get the fuck out. Do not tempt"
"Or what?" asked Katherine.
"Maybe I should leave..." interrupted Diana.
"No, Diana. Stay where you are... but this bitch will learn to stay quiet" Marcus held Katherine's hand and closed the door - he locked Diana inside.
While Katherine was crying and begging to be let go, Marcus didn't hear anything she said and he kept on dragging her. To the living room he took her, and then outside to the woods while Martin followed.
"Marcus let me go... let me go..." screamed Katherine for her dear life "I swear I won't do it again. I will not interrupt you again just let me go" Katherine's eyes displayed fear especially after seeing how cold Marcus had turned and he wasn't playing no games. "Martin, Martin help me" she reached out to Martin.
Martin didn't help Katherine,he just followed behind trying to keep up with Marcus's speed while laying low and maintaining silence. Betwixt Marcus's house and the forest there was a river crossing and it was long, and cold. The distance between the hill and down to the river was almost one thousand metres high.
"Marcus, please no... I have a career, I have parents, I have a life. I promise I will never interrupt you again" Katherine pleaded for her life. Marcus held her hand and placed her at the edge of the hill intending to throw her down to the river.
"Sir, are you sure?" asked Martin.
"This bitch won't stop! She will keep harrassing Diana and I just can't let her do that"
"Sir please... for my sake. Let her go, she has learned her lesson"
"No, no, Martin... you see whores like her never learn respect. They should just be thrown onto a river filled with rocks and die..." This time Marcus said it straight to Katherine's eyes and he nearly dropped her but then he hesitated and stopped.
Marcus stepped back and so did Martin, Katherine stood at the edge but then she dragged herself away from the edge, away from the river.
"Go! If I see you again I'll kill you" said Marcus. Katherine got up quickly and started running towards the house - after a while Marcus head a car engine started and he knew Katherine left.
"That was wise" Martin patted Marcus's shoulder.
"It could be, or it could also be the most stupid thing I have ever done. She could talk..." said Marcus then turned back to look at Martin.
"If she does, then we will deal with her. But for now... she's gone"
"I hope so"
Diana was locked inside the room and she was struggling to open it, she was eager to know what was going on yet she couldn't. She kept banging on the door "Open it! Open it" she said.
"I'm here..."
"Marcus?"
"Yes"
"Why would you...?" Diana paused then when Marcus opened the door she continued "Why would you lock me inside?" she asked her eyes widened with amazement.
"I... I made a mistake. I didn't know that I locked you in"
Diana gasped "What?"
"I'm sorry, I wasn't aware Diana please..."
"You are so fucking weird"
Diana barged out of the room and walked outside.
"Diana, Diana... please" Marcus was calling her trying to keep up, when he did, he stood in front of her.
"Get out of my way Marcus"
"Diana please... you need to understand"
"Understand? You locked me inside your room and went after your ex girlfriend"
"She's not my ex"
"Oh really, then I must be blind and stupid"
"Please don't call yourself blind and stupid. Diana you need to believe me that I will only choose you" said Marcus.
"Get out of my way Marcus"
Diana wasn't playing games, she reached out to her car and drove away from the house. Marcus raced to her but she was driving so fast and he couldn't keep up. One more step and he turned back, Martin was at the gate and he closed it the moment Marcus walked back inside.
"I have to go after her, get me the keys Martin stop standing over there like a statue"
"Sir, your blood pressure is high. You may experience an episode if you don't calm down"
"Fuck you and your fucking episodes. I don't give a fuck about episodes... I need to follow her" said Marcus then he reached out for Martin's pocket and took out the key.
"Let her go today she'll be back"
"Back? You think this is Hollywood where the person goes away and comes back after a long journey? Well sorry to disappoint you Martin but this isn't Hollywood, this is real life and if I don't go after her, she will never come back"
"I say we wait, maybe a day or two. She likes you already and women make efforts with the man they like... have faith sir"
Martin talked out Marcus against his plan of following Diana behind, and Marcus understood what he needed to - giving Diana a bit of time to process what just happened. But unlike what Marcus thought, Diana went back to her apartment and broke down that day. She wept as if there was no tomorrow and whilst holding Jacob's photograph in her arms. Diana may have acted fine for a month or so but still she had that worrisome inside her heart and soul regarding Jacob's death but also a board with coupons connecting to Jacob's death.
This was something she didn't tell anyone, not Jared nor Demi because she wanted a space to properly gather up information and evidences at the day of the shooting. When Detective Edmond said there were two men in the footage, now from there Diana was trying to see who could it be that actually killed Jacob. For a while she managed a few leads but they were all coming to the dead end, now she wanted the footage more than anything.
