They were all seated in Kyle's office with his father and mother standing behind him and the elders gone.
"I don't know what to say to all of this". Paul said. He was the first to speak up. He was so skeptical of his decision to term his one and only best friend 'a murderer'.
Everyone sighed. "My question exactly is who is this girl that makes you guys brainstorm?". Alpha King Damien asked.
They were lost in thoughts as one of the guards came in with a letter. "Sir?". He called Paul. Since Paul is the new Gamma, he was entitled to all that has to do with the title. "This letter is for you". The guard said as he stretched his hand bearing the letter forward in a respectful manner.
"From whom?". Paul asked.
"Ashes, gone and missed". The guard finished and Paul's eyes widened as he grabbed the letter from his hand and hurriedly opened and read through it. "Elizabeth". He whispered and dropped the letter as others immediately were at his side.
"And this was also sent". The guard came with a video tape and continued. Someone is also here to see you. Can I send the person in?".
"Send the person in". Paul immediately replied.
A well-structured beautiful woman, short with a blond hair and round face entered with two guys accompanying her dressed in black lace gown and black Chanel heels. Immediately she entered, Paul's wolf, Adam was jumping in excitement and was chanting the word mate all over again.
Paul could not react as his mouth was hung opened. When he was able to get himself, he growled at everyone to show she was his. Everyone understood and Kyle nodded and put on his blank face and motioned for her to seat.
She shook her head to decline the offer and immediately she did so, Kyle growled obviously the sign of disrespect. Paul wasn't fast enough as the other guys protecting her showed their fangs to prove they were vampires.
All were surprised and Paul asked, "How were you able to enter the territory with two vampires? The gem was meant to stop them from entering".
She scoffed and sat down while placing her legs on his table. "My name is Daniella, a friend to Liz. I know you know her and so save me that dramatic responses like you bastards deserved her.... well except you my darling Paul", She finished. Everyone was quiet and Kyle took his seat as she removed her legs from his table and shifted closer to Kyle and said, "So back to business".
"Okay so where were we?". She asked satisfied with the silence in the room.
Alpha Damien spoke up, "Why are you here?".
Then Queen Charlotte asked the question she had wanted to ask since Daniella came in. "You are human so how is all of this possible?". She said referring to her and the vampires. Since they are Royals, their pack is protected and can only be infiltrated by only those that know 'the secret'.
Daniella smiled as everyone was looking at her eagerly, waiting for her response. "Ask Liz when you see her". They all growled because of the disrespect she showed except Paul who was confused.
She took the laptop on the table with the disk and inserted it, then placed it on the table where others could see it and played it.
Elizabeth was seen seated in an abandoned warehouse with a man seated who was tied with his hands and legs. "I was wrongly accused for the death of my parents just because I was found at the crime scene. This video is also sent to the Chosen Lightning pack. This man here is however an accomplice responsible for their 'death'". She said the death while making emphasis with her fingers. Everyone was confused except Daniella and the vampires.
"I know you would be confused. I sent to the Chosen Lightning pack, my dead parent which they are no longer a member of the pack for reasons best known to me. Paul, I know you would hate me but my mission there was over only that you were more than a mission to me... before I continue I want Dani, Josh and Liam out of there".
Before anyone could talk, they were already out of there with Paul trying to follow her when Elizabeth continued, "She will come back Paul. Nathan, Arya is fine". She said and Nathan sighed in relief. "So the major thing is this man. I would send him to the council and my request is that Justice be served or else I would take matters into my hands. Don't worry about Felicia because throughout the time this video is played; her body is with me".
"What?!". They all shouted simultaneously as a guard came in breathing heavily. "The corpse is gone".
And they all turned back when they heard Elizabeth clearing her throat, "And before you know, I would have been out of your pack. Paul, I love you and thank you". She finished as the whole television went blank.
"What was that?". Paul said as he was able to get himself while Kyle ordered the pack guards to check round the pack for Elizabeth.
"How was she able to remove the Eleanors without our consent?". Alpha King Damien asked.
"How was she able to know the Killer when we couldn't?". Queen Charlotte asked and everyone nodded in agreement as she continued, "We couldn't find anything, all the evidences cleared and so we had to give her months of community service. Actually we initially didn't want to but she was the same girl that came here three years ago".
"For what?!". Kyle, Nathan and Paul asked simultaneously.
King Damien and Queen Charlotte looked at each other while Queen Charlotte bowed her head in shame as King Damien cleared his throat, realizing the fact that their son was expecting their response, King Damien started, "She came to us claiming you were her mate and she needed to speak to you. We thought she was insane and that if she was truly yours, you would have told us so we chased her away and when we saw her at the trial, I thought she did it so you could notice her so I decided to punish her".
Kyle slumped on his chair and broke down in tears. He thought he was the only one that broke them but he now realized his parents were involved.
His mother continued, "but she said something after the verdict, 'we suffer the sins of our fathers but all has been forgiven". She finished.
Paul spoke up later on, "She whispered the day she was leaving and said 'the son could have done his best and change my mind however my heart needs to choose'. All of them sat and sighed except Kyle who could not hold back his tears as his mother continued patting him on the back.
"I have a plan". Nathan spoke up and started," Why don't we continue with the coronation while introducing the regent Queen, maybe she would be there. The guards will be there as well as the guardians".
"Yes, but this is someone that outsmarted our guards and took a corpse out of the dungeons. You think it would be easy tricking such a person?". Queen Charlotte reasoned.
"I support Nate's idea. Let's go on with the coronation and pretend Marianne would be the Queen Luna. If Elizabeth really had a niche, she would be at the ceremony". Paul said stating his opinion.
Kyle who has been silently shedding tears said, " will she? With all I have put her through, I won't even blame her if she was never interested". He stopped as he went to the bar to take a bottle of whiskey and gulped almost half the bottle. Queen Charlotte immediately ran to her son's rescue and collected the bottle from him.
"He seriously loves her. He loves her more than I could do for mine" King Damien said; He said as he stylishly looked at his Queen. He started reminiscing the times he spent with her and how she was treated by the others most especially him and Kimberly. He then made up his mind for the sake of him and his son who never knew how much he was loved; he would amend his ways.
Paul moved closer to the King while patting him on the back. He knew how to get Liz to come but he wanted it to happen at the ceremony where he would voice out his doubt and questions. He smiled as he remembered Daniella and could not wait for her to be back.
Nathan sat back on the couch as he couldn't really place all that has been happening. The only girl that has his heart is connecting to someone that does not want to be found. He thought of how he could find her and could not come up with one and so he went out for a run.
Kyle couldn't take it anymore as he continued crying. He just wanted her to say something so he won't feel neglected, he won't be useless and above all he won't be without his mate. He loved her and wanted her to know how much she meant to him. He doesn't know the possibility of them being together now that there is parent factor and now he is holding to the hope she would be present for the coronation.
Queen Charlotte shed a tear while watching her son feeling unloved like she was and until this moment still is. She had thought he loved her but unfortunately her King just needed an heir. Along the way, she learnt to accept what life throws at her. She misses those that helped her like Annabelle with her friends except Kimberly who hated her but she has to be strong for her son and amend what has been broken.
King Damien called one of the messengers in and said, "Go and meet the Elders and announce that the Coronation is two weeks away and that all Heads Alphas and Betas should be here two days before and Lastly all head alphas should have done the coronation ceremony for their neighbouring Alphas before coming here". And he picked his cell on the table and dialed Alpha Max number, "The Queen Regent should be present before the end of this week".
All preparations were being made with Kyle pretending to love Marianne with Four days to go but one thing Kyle never understood was what his mate really is and everyday his chances of winning her was closer to zero.
