Everyone went to sleep after the party with an announcement stating that there will be trainings starting from tomorrow.
There were provisions made for those present. The royal pack has six big hotels which could accommodate the other members who came. They were also assigned with ten Draeries to see to their safety. Now everyone is careful of the impending attacks.
Ryan could not sleep, he was turning and tossing, remembering what he had done to his sister. Those memories brought tears to his eyes and when he couldn't take it anymore he stood up from his bed.
The pack house is a castle with thirty bedrooms, three sitting rooms, two visitors longue, a meeting room, the Alphas office, kitchen, dungeon and so much more. Ryan turned on the light at the sitting room and met Paul, Kyle and Nathan at the kitchen looking like they've been caught committing a crime.
"You couldn't sleep?". Nathan asked while sipping the bottle of water with him.
Ryan nodded as they fell into a comfortable silence. Ryan walked to get water and sat at one of the empty chairs at the kitchen table.
"I wish I could turn back the hands of time when she was present, loving and sweet". Ryan said while smiling at the memory.
"What then happened? Why did you hate her?". Paul asked curling his fists in anger. He was there when Elizabeth suffered because no one was there for her.
"Marianne. I knew she was my mate when I was seventeen, by then Elizabeth was with us. Even though at the beginning I hardly communicate with her, I wanted to restitute for that until Marianne convinced me otherwise. She threatened to reject me if I didn't hate her. She was jealous because everyone preferred Liza to her even till now but the incident caused a lot of things". Ryan explained.
"We messed up, didn't we?". Kyle asked while sipping the water because Nathan banned him from taking alcohol knowing how far his friend could go.
"We did". Ryan answered.
The next day, everyone was awake except for Elizabeth, Arya and Oliver. The training had started except that they were waiting for the three of them.
"Why should we wait for them?". Marianne asked as some hissed and rolled their eyes.
"Because Marianne, they are the ones training us". One of the young Draeries answered which made all of them to murmur to themselves until one spoke up.
"We thought you are the ones training us".
"Yes, we will teach you the basics but they have far more experience because they are the major survivors". He answered.
Kyle, Nathan and Paul looked at each other confused.
Elizabeth, Arya and Oliver came down together laughing about something with their individual sportswear and that is gym trousers and bra top for Elizabeth and Arya and shorts and t-shirt for Oliver. Elizabeth black hair and Samantha blond hair were packed in a ponytail as they jogged to the training ground.
"You are late". Kyle said with jealousy.
Elizabeth cocked her head to the side and looked at him as she crossed her arms, she later cleared her throat and faced the others, "we won't be able to train you today, the Draeries will teach you the basics as they've done when we left for the Academy but remember that the less you focus on the goal, the more you are endangering yourselves because they won't wait for you". Elizabeth finished.
She was about to walk away when Marianne shouted, "Liar".
"What?". Elizabeth asked confused as she waved her guards back and Kyle was being held by Paul and Nathan.
"You were not at the Academy so you lied you, mate snatcher". She finished as she walked two feet in front of Elizabeth.
Elizabeth smiled and said, "Marianne, move away". She said it thrice yet Marianne was adamant and remained in front of her.
"You want your response; I will give you. Michael?". She called the Draery that talked earlier. "Was I or was I not at the academy?".
"You were, My queen". He said stressing 'My Queen' while looking at Marianne who was fuming in anger.
"I was at the Academy but I didn't stay where you guys were". She sweetly answered and walked away but turned again and said, "I didn't steal your mate but you were the slut to take mine". And she left with Olive and Sam who smiled while following her.
After four hours of intense training, everyone was dismissed and immediately a meeting was called.
"Okay, we need to talk about your daughter's response four hours ago about being in the Academy, Keylar, what does she mean?". Alpha Damien said already cutting to the chase.
Keylar laughed. "Do you think I know everything about my daughter's life? One minute she is here; another she is not. Katliza cannot be predicted except to a few who still have difficulty in predicting her next move". He answered.
"If you want to know, wait for them to come because we only know that they were meant to be in Paris". Alpha Hernandez finished.
"Alpha! Alpha!!". A guard called urgently.
"What's wrong?". Marianne groaned as the meeting involved the successors and predecessors.
"Two of our members were attacked and killed. Their bodies are being carried as we speak for burial". The guard said.
"Identify them". Kyle said while rising up.
"Karen Northwood and.....my son". The guard whispered the end part trying hard not to break down. "And there was a note on them". He said as he handed the note to Kyle.
"Karen is from Elizabeth pack..... whoever did it is looking for trouble". Alpha Connor said knowing fully well what his daughter can do.
"What says the letter?". Alpha Hernandez asked fully concerned. He knew how close Oliver, Arya and Elizabeth were. One death would cause those three to cause an uproar and them united is danger in beauty.
"This is what you deserve, Elizabeth. From unknown". As Kyle was reading the letter, he was clenching his fists. He can't tell what Elizabeth did to deserve this but he was more concerned on what next. He hardly sees her around the pack house so he could beg for her forgiveness and now, she might be gone for long.
"Please don't let her know". Alpha Marcos said and immediately the three of them entered.
"They shouldn't let us know what?". Sam asked, more like demanded while placing her hands on her hip and tilting her head to the side like Elizabeth.
Everyone were quiet except Marianne who wanted to spite Elizabeth in spite of everything. "Well being a bad Luna who killed her pack member through offending......".
"Wait! Wait!! Wait!!! Who died?". Elizabeth asked, cutting Marianne short.
The guard from earlier said, "Karen and my son".
"Who did it?". Oliver asked while frowning.
"We don't know". Kyle responded.
"See, you can't be our queen regent...". Marianne continued while her father tried gesturing her to sit.
Elizabeth walked across the table to get to Marianne and held her by the neck while Marianne was struggling to breathe. "You don't want to see me get angry so if you value your life, don't cross my path ever again". She said as she flinged her to the door.
"Let me see the letter" she said stretching forth her hand to collect it from Kyle who was sitting at the head of the table.
"It's David". Elizabeth said once she got close enough to read the letter.
"How do you know? And it seems I have heard of him. Apart from the Cayades, he is one of our mutual enemies". Alpha Damien said.
"Yes, David broke out from Michael's coven, he and a few others and started terrorizing the werewolves due to a reason well known". Elizabeth explained.
"What is the reason?". Alpha May asked.
"She just said it was well known. Are you living in the olden days or what?". Oliver said rudely.
"Ollie". Sam cautioned as he muttered a 'sorry'.
"A werewolf killed his parents. He witnessed the death and since he could not find the person, he made it a point of duty to kill each existing ones until the end". Elizabeth answered while waiting for the determining question.
"So what is his deal with you? Did you date him or something?". He spat those words bitterly.
"It's none of your business". Elizabeth answered and continued, "have you ever asked yourself why you never heard of him for a year and a half?".
"Rumours said he was on death row so we thought he was dead". Alpha potter answered.
"What did he do that put him on trial till he was pronounced guilty?". Elizabeth asked trying to help them see a clearer picture.
"He touched a royal but we don't know who it was". Alpha Dantes replied.
"Betas, do you know who?". Elizabeth asked and they all shook their heads.
Elizabeth, Sam and Oliver took their position and sat down while Elizabeth continued, " Three years ago, Michael and Ryder went away for a while. A year after, David formed his gang. Michael called me to settle it since I was his girlfriend with his royal seal". At the mention of girlfriend, Kyle growled while Elizabeth rolled her eyes.
"I went to David hoping to make peace but he said I was a werewolf and a poison to their population and then hit me. I didn't fight back because I knew touching a royal would cause his death except if he receives punishment from me. I reported to the coven elders who pronounced him guilty and placed him on death row, guess he escaped". She explained and sighed.
"So he wants revenge and you won't do anything". Alpha Gomez accused.
"Like father, like daughter". Sam commented. "Sorry, we don't tell people our plans". She finished as she smiled sweetly which angered Alpha Max and cause Nathan and Paul to smile.
"Don't worry, everything is under control. The incident happened three hours ago. I knew it the minute it happened but what I know is you won't find him alive".
"What?!". They all exclaimed except their father who doesn't seem surprised.
"Someone killed him, someone you know intimately". Elizabeth stressed the word intimately while glaring at Kyle.
"Who?". Kyle asked confused.
"Felicia".
