My eyes looked around the white room I was in.
Was I in limbo?
People said that when you die you would first go to limbo, where you are in between Heaven and Hell.
From what they said, the people on earth were supposed to pray for you.
They also said that it was the most painful experience.
Looking down at my body, I found nothing had changed.
I had still won the crapy uniform from the bar.
"Estella,"
I heard faint echoes calling my name.
The echoes seemed to be coming from outside the room.
"Estella"
They continued.
But this time, the voice was a little bit clearer.
It sounded feminine.
I slowly woke up from the white floor and leaned my ear against one wall.
"Estella here," the voice said behind me.
I slowly moved my body to look at the owner of the voice.
Shock filled my veins as I glanced at the owner of the voice.
Her appearance was exactly as mine.
Her brown orbs, her brunette hair.
Everything to the detail was the same.
"Don't get frightened," the girl said, noticing the shock written all over my face.
"I'm not going to hurt you,"
"Who are you?" I questioned, stepping closer to her.
"My name is Lucy," she said.
"How is this possible? Where I'm I? I'm I in Heaven?" I asked her.
She gently pulled my arm to the other side of the room.
"I can't explain everything because we don't have enough time, but everything you're seeing is true.
I'm your doppelganger.
I came before you, and I died, so you are destined to take my place in the vampire court," she tried explaining.
What the heck was she saying?
What was that vampire crap?
"Look lady, I don't even have a fucking idea of how we are alike, but I'm dead and this vampire court crap is all shity, "I told her, trying to release myself from her hold.
"Listen here Estella," she said yanking me back. "We don't have all day but what I want you to do when I reach out to you is accept me,"
"You won't remember this when you go back, but when you feel me, just accept," she continued.
"But I'm dead, I'm not going back any time soon, I'm dead," I said my voice cracking at the end of the sentence.
"You're not, you are just temporarily dead, but in just a few seconds you'll go back," she said.
"Back? How?" I asked bewildered.
"You died, and the one who killed you was a vampire, the poison in his fangs rushed into your heart and that's how you died, and at the same time the poison turned you into one of him," she explained.
I had this urge to believe her and I did.
The man did seem supernatural, unnatural.
Which wrong turn did I make?
"Oh my God," I said still in a haze of my dispare.
How?
"Don't worry, when you get back you'll forget all of this," she said, her image slowly fading.
"What is happening?" I asked.
"It's finally time to go back to your new world," she said before fading away completely.
