Beverley turned her face out the window to avoid Brent's piercing gaze. Her brow furrowed as she realized the car she was in was not making its way to Brent's house. She felt quite confused. Where will the man take her?
Despite being curious, Beverley refrained from asking. She didn't want to look anxious or worried in front of the man. Whatever the circumstances, she wanted to be a calm and indifferent woman.
Moments later, their car stopped in the basement of a luxury hotel. Brent turned to look at Beverley. "Don't go anywhere. Stay here and don't make trouble!" he hissed coldly.
Beverley didn't answer. She just watched the man leave with narrowed eyes. Where will the man go?
Suddenly, her vision caught something suspicious. Not far ahead, Brent seemed to meet a woman. The woman was wearing a red dress that was quite revealing. If there wasn't a long coat covering her body, maybe her body would be exposed.
The woman was wearing sunglasses and a black fedora hat. Although her face was quite hidden, there was a familiar feeling to Beverley. It was as if she had seen her before. But where?
The next thing she saw became even more shocking. Brent seemed to pull the woman's body into a hug. The man also kissed the woman's red cheeks and lips sensually.
Surprisingly, the woman did not refuse at all. Instead, she hugged Brent's body warmly. In the basement, it was quite quiet because they were in such a private place. Maybe no one even noticed them at all.
Beverley crossed her arms over her chest. "Who is she?" She asked the driver, who was sitting in the driver's seat.
"I'm sorry, ma'am, I can't say that. Perhaps you can ask Mr. Oliver directly," replied the driver.
Beverley rolled her eyes lazily. Of course, the driver wouldn't want to tell. She frowned and started guessing.
Could that woman be Brent's lover? Maybe he already has a girlfriend. This is not impossible, right? Or maybe the guy also flirted with a lot of women? So how did he get caught up in the gay rumors?
Thinking about it all made Beverley speechless. God, how could she marry a man like Brent? Isn't there a better husband than that man?
She looked back at the two of them. They appeared to walk into the elevator together. It looks like they'll be entering the hotel soon. What for?
Beverley's mind went wild. Two people; a man and a woman, entered the hotel together. What else could they possibly do if not conduct business in bed? After all, Brent is an asshole.
Beverley got annoyed at the thought, not because she was jealous, but because she was asked to wait in the car like an idiot.
How long will she have to wait? Was Brent even sane? If the guy really wants to go on a date with another woman, he should at least drive her home first. Don't be left in a car like this!
"You asshole!" Beverley cursed angrily.
"Take me home now!" she ordered the driver.
"Madam, but Mr. Oliver asked you to stay here. I can't-"
"Alright, alright! Do what you want. You better keep sticking to that bastard's orders. But I'm still going now," said Beverley, then stepped out of the car.
"Ma'am, where are you going?!" The driver immediately got out of the car. He moved to block Beverley's steps. "Please stay in the car. Mr. Oliver can get angry."
"I don't care. Even if Brent gets angry, I'm the one who will get his anger, not you," Beverley replied nonchalantly. "Now, you better get out of here. I can scream for help if I want."
The driver looked doubtful. There was a hint of surprise on his face. He thought the woman in front of him would whine and ask to be brought home. However, no. Beverley instead told him to stay there.
"Madam, but where are you going?"
"I will go wherever I want. If he can have fun with other women, then I can also have fun with other men," Beverley replied, then grinned happily.
"Tell your boss. Don't look for me. I'll be home before nightfall. Ah, but I forgot. It looks like he won't be looking for me." Beverley looked away after saying that. She didn't care at all about the stunned driver.
"Are they both still sane?" The driver shook his head in disbelief. "The insane Mr. Oliver has finally met an insane woman. No wonder they got married."
Beverley didn't know what the driver was thinking. She stepped away from the hotel building. In that troublesome wedding dress, she stepped down the street. The high heels she was wearing gave her a bit of trouble, so she quickly took them off.
"What does he think I am? Does he think I'm a helpless woman? Huh, even if he has a thousand lovers, I won't care!" As she continued to walk, she said.
Her current goal was to visit Katy's cafe rather than go out and have fun with other men. Instead of being a wife waiting for her husband to make out with another woman at the hotel, she'd better go see her best friend.
Along the way, people looked at her with various expressions. Perhaps they were taken aback and perplexed to see a woman in a wedding gown walking alone barefoot.
Beverley immediately covered her face with a lacy white veil. She didn't want anyone to know she was Brent Oliver's wife, not out of shame. After all, that would be a problem for her.
It took a long time to get to Katy's cafe, as she was only on foot. The soles of her feet were starting to hurt, but she didn't really care. That kind of pain was nothing compared to the pain she felt when she lost her mother in the past.
"Whatever, it's up to you what you guys will do to me. No matter if you sell me, betray me, or whatever. I promise to live well. I wouldn't kill myself just because you guys did those things," she said flatly.
There wasn't any emotion on her face. Her heart was too numb.

Meanwhile, in the hotel room, Brent pushes the woman in red onto the bed. His body began to rise against the woman's body. "How long do I have to wait?"
"Brent, don't talk about it now. Today I am very hurt to see you have become another woman's husband," replied the woman with a frown.
"But I don't love her."
"I know. You only love me, right?" The woman took off her glasses and threw the object at random. Her hand moved to touch Brent's chest, which was above her. "Brent, promise me you'll never fall for that woman."
Brent kissed the woman's lips. "I promise you, Miss Hale..."
