After Scarlette left the guild, the adventurers who remained on the guild looked at Ryan that still stuck on where he stood and most of them could tell that the young gentleman had a shock right now upon learning who the black hooded woman was.
Who wouldn't be? Also, most of them remember what this young gentleman had done and all of them could only sympathize with him because if they were in the young gentleman's place, they would also feel embarrassed and shocked as well.
After all, Scarlette Overland is not just an ordinary adventurer, like the rest of them.
One adventurer went over to Ryan's side and placed an arm around his shoulder and that's the time Ryan snapped his thoughts into reality and looked over at the stranger at his side who suddenly placed their arms around his shoulders.
"You're one lucky bastard, aren't you? You manage to catch the interest of the strongest adventurer here, bro! Tsk!"
The one who snickers at him is a woman. She had long aqua-colored hair ponytailed and chestnut-colored eyes.
She wears a full set of leather armor and Ryan noticed her brass knuckles that were hanging around her waist.
At that moment, he felt uncomfortable by the sudden physical touch coming from a stranger and he gently removed the woman's arms around his shoulder and smiled at her.
"I don't mean to be rude, but may I know who you are?"
He asked the stranger woman, and the woman looked at him as she laughed out loud, causing the other adventurers to chuckle at the gentleman's ignorance and Ryan had a blank expression on his face because of his irritation.
'Yes, I know that I'm ignorant not to recognize Scarlette Overland at first glance! I am sorry, okay? Tsk! These people!' – He thought as he groaned in annoyance.
Who wouldn't know about Scarlette Overland?
Even though Ryan came from another land, Scarlette Overland's reputation is widely spread within the Miris Continent, and she is renowned as the strongest adventurer alive.
Although from the stories about her, Scarlette Overland might be an SSS-Rank adventurer but from what Ryan heard some stories about her that she can do menial jobs as well.
If she were bored, that's what other people said about her.
'What a strange woman. Doing menial jobs out of boredom?'
He thought as he chuckled mentally because of those absurd tales about Scarlette Overland but then again, Ryan noticed that even though she is quite cold and indifferent from other people's perspective, he could tell that she is quite eccentric on her own ways.
For that moment, Ryan suddenly felt chills down to his spine and immediately looked around within the area and that's how he noticed something else.
The adventurers looked at him and he could see the emotions that they threw in his direction.
Envy. Anger. Dissatisfaction.
'Why am I being targeted all of the sudden?' – He thought with a perplexed expression on his face.
The woman saw this and she immediately understood what the other man was thinking, and she shook off her head and speaks; "Seriously? You don't even know that Scarlette chose you as her first-ever companion? You didn't get what she said to you earlier?"
Ryan, upon hearing what the stranger woman said to him, immediately looked at his side and exclaimed; "WHAT?! She choose who?! M-me?!"
He exclaimed as he pointed himself with a ridiculous looked on his face while looking at the stranger woman and trying to decipher her words if she's telling the truth or not.
Aside from the fact that Scarlette Overland is the one and only SSS-Rank adventurer and the strongest amongst other adventurers out there, Ryan knew that she is also famous for being a solo adventurer and she never takes someone with her during missions or even joining nor creates her own party.
He looked around and sighed; 'Seems like that woman sure declined a number of adventurers or party invitation, as the way these people looked at me right now. As if I'm such a piece of fine meat that needs to be devoured within their eyes. Did I get myself into trouble?'
He sighed once more and then after his own musing for his unfortunate event, a sudden hard slap on his back that he received that makes him stumbled for a bit but regains his balance for not to fall down on the ground and then glared at the armor-leathered woman at his side.
The same woman who puts her arms around his shoulders once again and she had a wild grin plastered on her face that makes Ryan wanted to punch a woman, for the first time in his life.
'Dang! This woman should be thankful that I'm not barbaric to throw a punch at everyone on site and if this happened back to where I came from, this woman would be dead for sure because of her disrespect approach.'
Unfortunately, this is Silveria Empire and Ryan is an outlander of this land so… it's his disadvantage if he happens to make a scene here or something equivalent to a crime that would pin on his head if that happened.
"Oh! How rude of me! I suddenly latched on to you when you didn't even know my name! Haha! My name is KIRA STONE and I'm a party leader of Black Dust. What's yours, bro?"
Finally, the stranger woman named Kira, as she introduced herself and Ryan still felt uncomfortable about her being all physically touchy since Ryan wasn't fond of someone else touching him that easily.
However, he just ignored it for the sake of peace, and he didn't want to make a big deal about this situation.
With that said, he just smiled at her and said; "My name is Ryan Wayne. I just got here yesterday. This is my first day in the guild and I never expected that things would turn up like this."
He said and Kira chuckled as she heard this gentleman groan in complaint, and she shook off her head as she spoke.
"You're quite bold to approach Scarlette, aren't you? And not just that, you pestered her all along and you didn't even recognize her? Even though you're not from here, Scarlette Overland is widely known even outside of this land."
