LOCATION: CROWN CITY, CENTRAL REGION OF SILVERIA EMPIRE
****09TH SOLARIS STREET – ADVENTURERS GUILD****
A bustling noise spread around inside the guild where all adventurers have gathered around and there are several party groups from different areas as they keep their own business and chatted within their respective party members.
While chatting amongst each other, a certain black-hooded woman who masked her own traces as she shied away amongst the crowd and leaned over at the corner of the guild while watching the scene in front of her with her mismatched crimson lilac-colored eyes in a boredom.
'Ha! This place is still the same as ever. Nothing change at all though.'
As she sighed in boredom, she suddenly remembered a certain event from weeks ago.
'I wonder how he is? Tsk! If it weren't for a certain promise that I kept few years ago then…'
However, no matter how she regretted that day but as someone who had kept her word then, she would fulfill the end of the deal that she promised.
'Why am I being a busybody again? Tsk!'
As much as she wanted to curse mentally because of her past decisions or to remained hidden within the four corners of this guild so that she could be left alone for a while however, because of her boredom, she sighed once more and then practically walked out from where she hides and let her presence to be known within the guild.
Because of her sudden appearance out of nowhere, the chatters amongst the adventurers suddenly quiet down as they didn't expect her to appear within the guild since she is well-known for not staying the guild that much.
She could feel eyes on her but chose to ignore it as she continued to walk over at the mission board at the center of the guild and when she halted her steps as she reached the mission board, she looked through the mission leaflets that are posted.
Since she doesn't have anything to do for a moment then, she would just take some missions that would suit her taste or something she wants to do out of boredom.
While she's looking at the mission board without paying much attention to her surroundings, the previous chatters from earlier who had gone quiet are now back to their own business as they chatted from here and there but most of them are looking at the direction where the black hooded woman was.
Most of the adventurers within the guild recognized the black hooded woman as their previous chatter shift as they began to whisper to themselves.
"I never expected her to suddenly appear from that corner! Does it mean she's been here the whole time?!"
"As expected from someone who is well-known as the strongest amongst her peers. Even veteran adventurers didn't even manage to catch her presence alone that she's been here the whole time."
"Is she going to another mission once again?"
"Well, what do you expect? She's always like that."
"She's here again. I just saw her early in the morning that she took a mission and now she's back on the mission board once again?"
"A hard-working adventurer even though her rank is the highest amongst us here."
"She might the highest rank adventurer but, she's still as humble as ever."
"However, for what we know about her is that… she never join or create her own party as she always to do solo missions by herself. Does she have some trust issue or something?"
"I don't know. Why not asked her if you're that curious?"
"Are you picking a fight?! Why would I do that?!"
"It's your idea and also we want to know as well so…"
"Okay, stop! Don't fight and besides, lower your voices or she might hear you all!"
The black hooded woman thought; 'Actually, I can hear all your whispers and gossips around, and no need to lower your voices because it's no use.'
It's always like this and it never gets old. Whenever she's present, all kinds of gossips are pointed at her, be it positive or negative, it's none of her business.
Gossip for all they want but if one of them tried to disturb her peace or make a scene just for attention then, she'll gladly take them to some [spectacle] that they would never forget.
Like always, she would just ignore those whispers and gossips around as she once again focused on the mission board to search for a job.
This is her everyday life. As an adventurer, like everyone else, an adventurer's job is to take missions that are available on the request board that is approved by the guild's administrator.
Most missions are categorized from the lowest to the highest ranks and there were set of rules that needs to be follow before the guild's representative will approve the mission task chosen by the adventurers.
There were rules that adventurers can't take a mission that would exceed their actual ranks.
Meaning, an adventurer can only take a job that is aligned to their rank and if they want to take a job that is much higher for the sake of higher rewards, then that would be the time that they need to join or create a party on their own.
Because no matter how strong or higher their ranks are, the guild would not allow them to take such dangerous missions on their own or if the guild's representative evaluate them not to be eligible for the chosen mission they took at the mission board.
Unless they signed an agreement that they would be held responsible for their own actions in case something happens, the Adventurers Guild wouldn't be the one responsible for it.
However, these rules are never applied to a [certain someone] because that person is a special case and most of the adventurers knew about it, and they have no qualms about it since they had recognized [that person's] strength and abilities a long time ago.
Whispers and gossips within the guild continued as the black hooded woman just ignored it and still searching within the mission board for another job.
Because the job that she took early in the morning was just assisting a caravan of merchants to be on guard and since she is available at that time, she took the mission that morning and arrived at the guild this afternoon and no one had noticed her presence since she concealed herself as she leaned over at the corner to rest a little while.
'Troublesome…'
