Chapter 24 - "Whatever!"

KNOCK,

KNOCK!!

Snap it!! A destructive, intruding, annoying, and utterly not desired knock came from the door.

At once, it was like the spell of heat was broken.

The emotions, the heat, and the sensations that filled the room just a minute ago seemed to have been put at a full stop.

The werewolf stirred and looked down at the Princess as though he had been woken up from a dazy dream.

"Ignore it, let's continue" the Princess held his neck and leaned up when again!!

KNOCK! KNOCK!

A strangled groan made its way out of the Princess's mouth as the werewolf pulled his hands away with an awkward clear of his throat.

"Who the boggery is that?!" the Princess snapped in annoyance.

The werewolf moved out of the compromising position and went further into the room.

"It's me, Your Highness. I've brought you a fresh change of dress," the servant's voice came through.

Princess Divale's face turned beet red from anger. After she had managed to trap the werewolf, after she had somehow managed to seduce him, when she was finally going to have a taste of him, this wretched rag just had to spoil the moment!!

Ah!!! She could kill right now!

With force and anger, the Princess took out the key from her bosom and opened the door with a strong yank behind.

The servant was by the door, with her head bowed down in not humility but rather fear as her hands tremble with the lightweight of the light blue dress which seemed to weigh a tonne at the moment.

A gush of air passed through as the servant gulped under the Princess's stare or glare.

Yeah, let's settle for glare.

"P-Princess, your dress" the stutter came out naturally as she handed the dress to the Princess with a slight shake.

"You are a flick of rat with no brains that don't know when or where to interrupt something crucial!!!" the Princess hissed and grabbed the dress from the servant, of course, not before using her nails to scratch her.

The werewolf took the chance to slip through the door without even taking a look back.

The Princess's anger escalated and she let out a strangled groan as she clenched her fists.

"Ah!!!" She yelled out.

"P-Princess" the servant trembled.

"Get out! Get out, if you don't want me to drink your blood as my lunch!!" the Princess snapped.

"Out!!!"

The servant's shadow was seen at the end of the hallway in the blink of an eye.

Nobody wanted to face the wrath of the Princess.

Princess Divale stomped her feet back into the room after she had glared down at the hall at nothing in particular.

She jammed the door shut with force and proceeded to change into the new dress.

In other circumstances, she would have never worn someone else's clothes because we had to face it, she was the Crown Princess of Urankia.

She gifted people her old clothes, not the other way round.

But she had no other choice now, as she had purposely poured tea on her dress to get the attention of that stubborn handsome beast!!

She put on the clothes and tied the ropes securely around her waist and then moved forward to stare at herself in the mirror.

A scowl was placed on her face as she stared at the dress.

"So tacky!" She rolled her eyes.

Well, she had no other choice so she had to put up with it for now.

She stepped out of the room and met Lady Precelle standing by the doorway with a bowed head.

"Forgive me, Princess, for not being with you, I was busy taking care of the gifts you ordered to be given to Master Filen," Lady Precelle said humbly.

"It's okay, Precelle. Have the gifts been taken care of now?" the Princess asked.

"Yes, they have been distributed as you ordered. But Princess, if I may ask, why the change of clothes?" Lady Precelle looked down at the Princess's new dress.

"Oh, something happened. Get my dress from the room and make sure to take it to the dry cleaner once we get to the castle" the Princess waved her hand and walked down the hall.

She trudged into the living room where she saw Master Filen sitting down with a book on his lap.

He appeared to be in deep concentration as the lines on his face were deepened.

The Princess cleared her throat for him to acknowledge her presence.

He looked up and a smile filled his lips as he stood up from the sofa.

"Princess, you seem to look dazzling in anything you wear at all," he complimented.

"Thank you, although the dress is not up to my standards, I appreciate it," the Princess said with formality.

"Oh, I'm sorry but a humble subject like me can't certainly meet your high status because you are grand, Your Highness" Master Filen bowed modestly.

"Oh, you're very accurate about that," the Princess was pleased with his praises.

"I shall be on my way now to the castle. The visit was wonderful" she smiled.

~Wonderful indeed, I almost kissed that handsome creature, if not for the interference of your stupid servant!!~ the Princess snapped in her head.

"It pleases me to know I didn't disappoint you as a host. I would always welcome your visit anytime, Your Highness" Master Filen said.

"Sure, of course, I'll come next time" Princess Divale nodded eagerly.

~As long as that gorgeous werewolf slave of yours is here, I'll come anytime, any day~ she grinned viciously.

"Let me escort you to the door," Master Filen led the way as they both walked down the hall, towards the entrance.

They bid their goodbyes with kind words and smiles before the Princess stepped out of the mansion.

But little did she know that a shadow was behind the windows staring at her intently as she left.

A shadow that wanted to reach out to her.

A shadow that wanted to take a step forward but moved back.
