Subaru woke up before everyone else and left a note on one of the tables:
「I'm going to be going out to look for someone I need to repay, they helped me out before I met you guys so I'll probably be out for most of the day. Anyway, see ya!」
He left the inn and started walking around town trying to find Yunyun. He continuously walked in the direction of the adventurer's guild since he thought that she could be in the building. On the way there he heard someone, that sounded like a guy yelling and a girl crying. Subaru ran over to see if something was wrong and he saw someone in a tracksuit next to a familiar goddess.
""He's got animal ears-real ones! And there's an elf. A real elf! She's gotta be an elf- she's so beautiful! Goodbye, modern-day hermit life!
Hello, fantasy world! Now, this is a place where I could see actually going outside…Getting a job and stop being a NEET-"
'"'Waaaaaaaaah! Waaaaaaaaaah Waaaaaaaaah!"
The boy looked down at Aqua and started mumbo long something to her that Subaru could just barley make out.
"Hey, keep it down. What'll happen if everyone thinks I'm friends with a crazy lady? Anyway, don't you have something to give me right about now? I mean, look how I'm dressed. I'm wearing a tracksuit! In a fantasy world! If this was a game, I'd at least get some kind of basic starting equipment."
Aqua grabbed onto the boy and continued to cry except it seemed to get even louder then before.
Subura decided that he would put off his search for Yunyun for now and help out Aqua and the boy.
"Hey!"
"Woah, another tracksuit…Wait…Wasn't I meant to be some great hero or something?! Why is another guy from my world here?!"
"Um…Are you two okay? Yesterday I actually got reincarnated by this goddess and now I'm here…I guess you died too."
The boy quickly turned his head towards Aqua and started yelling at her.
"Never mention my death! That is something you must take the grave!"
"I don't really know what to say here…"
Subaru waited a bit and tried to calm Aqua down and afterwards introduced himself to the boy using his ever iconic pose.
"I'm Natsuki Subaru!"
"Satou Kazuma. It's a bummer that I'm not really some godly hero or something but I'm still in a fantasy world so I guess my death wasn't completely horrible…Never ask about my death."
"I won't! I'm sure you have your reasons just like I have mine. If you need any help with anything you can ask me! Of course my info is very limited since I only came here yesterday…"
"In that case…Is there an adventurer's guild perhaps?"
"Sure! Follow me. Oh and if you see a girl with red eyes, brown hair and braids that go over her shoulders can you please tell me? I'm trying to find her right now since I owe her for helping me out yesterday."
Subaru brought Aqua and Kazuma to the adventurer's guild and Kazuma explained how he ended up with Aqua while they were walking.
They arrived shortly after he finished his story and Kazuma brought them over to the sign up area.
"Well I already got registered so I'll tell you so you don't get caught off guard like I did. There's a resignation fee so be sure to have enough on hand if you want to be an adventurer."
"….Eh? Do you have any money?"
"What do you think? As if I had time to grab my wallet when you dragged me off here!"
Subaru looked around in the mean time as Aqua and Kazuma walked off trying to think of a way to get some cash to pay the resignation fee. He continued looking for Yunyun but couldn't find her anywhere in the building.
"Haaah, guess I'll just have to get lucky eventually."
He walked back to the sign up area to see if they managed to get some money yet and he saw Kazuma holding his hand over the crystal. He walked up and watched as his card was made and the receptionist read off his stats.
"…..All average. Your intelligence is on the high side…Huh? Your luck stat is extremely high. With your luck I would recommend you give up adventuring and become a merchant instead."
Kazuma turned his head towards Aqua.
"Hey, she's disapproving my life as an adventurer's lifestyle right off the bat." He turned back to the receptionist. "Um, make my primary job adventurer please…"
'It seems him and I are in similar shoes…I'm sorry, Kazuma.'
Next up was Aqua and she put her hand over the crystal until her card was finished being made.
'Wh-whaaaat?! Where did these numbers come from?! Besides your below-average Intelligence and your abysmal luck, all your stats are vastly above average! Your Magic is the most amazing of all! Who or what are you, ma'am?!"
Kazuma had a questionable face when he looked up to see the receptionist having a hard time keeping her composure.
"R-Really? So I'm amazing or something? Well, I guess I am me after all…"
"You can start in some of the most advanced classes, besides the Wizard class which requires high intelligence, you could be a Crusader, a Knight! You could even be an Arch-Priest!"
"It's a shame goddess isn't a class. Well, maybe Arch-Priest would be right for me, then?"
"Arch-priest it is! A very versatile class, with all types of healing and support spells, but also strong enough to stand fearlessly at the front line! Let's see….Arch-priest….There. Welcome to the Adventurers Guild, honored Aqua! I and the entire staff look forward to your future exploits!"
Subaru and Kazuma were staring at Aqua wondering if they were the main characters or not.
