The last thing I expected was Wade, our Delta Organization commander coming to us with a bunch of soldiers.
"About the backup." Lily cleared her throat. "We forgot to tell you. Before entering the Hydra Caves, we had called upon Wade to come for a backup. He agreed but didn't show up at that time. Late though, he is here." She declared. I smiled, "Well, this is good. We needed some soldiers to fight Raptor. Now we'll not be the only ones squashed by the giants." I said.
Xavier took the warship down (and I did nothing to help with the controls). We soon landed to meet an awaiting commander. Wade smiled and came directly to hug me. I tried to back off but the huge guy wouldn't let go. Then he said, "Happy to see you guys alive." The way he used to talk, it looked as if he was trying to kill us. The man really needed to know how to speak well.
"We will proceed by land. The DELTAs can take the ship." Wade ordered his men which they didn't seem to bother. "Mount Hysuptris would be guarded by monsters. We need to be alert, alright? We will attack when once you give a sign. Blaze, if you throw your Magnum high up and yell Wade I'll take that as a sign. Till then, you DELTAs need to try stopping Raptor." Wade explained. I nodded and bidding farewell, we parted ways.
We went back inside the warship. Then I realized that I had forgotten the controls. How did Xavier do this?! I asked him a couple of questions and slowly got the hang of it. We drove the ship into the sky as Wade and his men went into stealth mode by travelling through the forest. Even I couldn't find them now.
The travel had been quite exhausting. I had already been tired after dying and drowning into Colloseus's kingdom. Now I even had to concentrate on the controls along with Xavier. Once in a while, I would look at the others. Oliver still looked little sad of losing his sword Tortunem. Mark had a mixed face of seriousness and a usual sadness. Amanda looked out of the window, focusing on the clouds. But I knew Lily wasn't doing well.
She had been trying to control her pain of the leg. Her one hand held her leg as if protecting it from being robbed. The blood wasn't present now. Amanda had done a great job in healing Lily but the pain was from inside. Looking at it, I knew Lily was trying not to cry out.
It had become lunch time and we halted our progress. The warship was parked in the forest which had been continuing since long. We had our lunch which seemed to be the last meal we would have. My backpack had no more food. I wondered if others had any left.
We continued after some time. By evening 5:30 we had reached quite far. No one was paying attention outside except for me and Xavier. Then I announced, "We have reached, DELTAs! Mount Hysuptris…"
Everybody looked in front and watched the massive mountain in front of the warship.
