Climbing mountains seemed boring to me. I didn't appreciate giving myself a backache as I tried to climb the Great Waterfall.
Oliver and Amanda too weren't looking fond of the activity. We were right on the left of the waterfall, dangerously close. It could have swept us back down if we even touched the water. I used Magnum to get a grip on the mountain which was the only thing because of which I was still alive.
Kilfer had told us a theory of his which was not confirmed to be successful. The plan seemed so imaginative that I had been pretty sure it would not work. But of course, here I was climbing the mountain with my friends.
We had reached quite high to now back down so we continued up to a certain extent. We had used a lonely part of the mountain to start climbing so that none of the tourists would notice us. Even if they did, it wasn't a big deal. They would think, Oh! They are the DELTAs. They need to do these kinds of stuff.
The view from above was awesome and even in such a dangerous condition, it made me smile. We were yet to reach the cloud level which wasn't too far but we decided not to move further up. The uneven distribution of land on the mountain helped us to halt in a few small areas. I was sitting almost near the clouds and my legs were facing down towards the ground which was scary.
Oliver was sitting a little far away, on his small circular island. Amanda was closer to my right and all of us had the same thought: Do we really need to jump now? The ground was barely visible and there was no way a person could survive if fallen from such a height. But of course we were over smart and thought we could use the water as an advantage.
Oliver was breathing heavily with nervousness. "Just tell me when we need to jump. I think I am ready." He claimed but looking at him, I knew he wasn't. Amanda said, "Just in case we die from this fall, I need to cherish this moment. Let's rest here for another minute." We didn't stop her and rested there, looking down at the death pit.
After a minute, Amanda looked at me and nodded. "Okay, we are gonna do this now." I declared and got up with my knees shaking already. My whole body was shivering and I knew the others were feeling the same. "On the count of: Three, two, one, JUMP!" I shouted and made a dive towards the water on my right. Oliver and Amanda were right behind me.
Then I hit the water flow and immediately was sent into an overdrive. (No amusement park should ever have such a slide. I beg you!) I tried to breathe which was stupid as I was almost consumed by the water. I couldn't concentrate on the other two. My own life was on the edge now.
We were catching speed at such a rate that it would only take seconds before we land. I had no idea if this was going to work. The ground coming closer didn't help much either. Before I knew it, we hit the water pointing below. But we went directly into the pit.
