My heart came to my mouth when the ground split apart suddenly and we fell down into utter darkness.
After a two seconds fall, we reached the surface where a small pool awaited us to fall in and almost drown. Water wasn't my best partner and I quickly got out with the fear that I would drown any second. The others took some time to realize they were no more in the Temple of Past. Lily freaked out looking at the water, one of her only fears.
We were near the snow forest. Our wet clothes seemed to dry on their own as we made our way back down. "At least we got what we needed." Oliver tried to cheer us up though after such a harsh treatment, cheering wouldn't have been easy. I was still annoyed and thought the Temple of Past was out of its mind. (I don't know if it really has a mind.)
Our journey down was not too tiring. We walked down the slope pretty quickly. The snow area was passed and we took off our jackets. I stuffed it into my back pack and continued.
But then a noise was heard from the sky. A huge structure was making its way to land near us. We couldn't figure out what it was at first but then saw our old pal, Xavier's face blooming with joy. He had built the warship of his dreams.
The warship had a grey and black theme going on. It was made out of shining hard metal for protection during fights. The two huge machine guns on its either side could tilt in any direction. But the upper half of the ship was transparent for us to look outside. I had almost forgotten about the amount of zartinum, the fluid form of electricity found in Darknor, which Xavier had used tons. I really appreciated Xavier's build and somewhat felt bad that he couldn't show his talent before.
Xavier's father was always against Xavier building stuffs and being a warrior and used to break every single invention of his. I always felt to punch his father on the face hard. His young brother, though a kid, was smart and had promised he would take care of himself until Xavier returned from this adventure. Xavier had a lot of pressure and would do anything to safeguard his brother.
He came out of the warship through the nicely laid stairs which came out on its own. "How's it going?" He asked with a wide smile. He was surely proud of his build and so were we. "I did not expect this!" Lily said, clearly impressed. We introduced Xavier to Amanda and talked all about her skills.
"Didn't expect for Mr. Flames to have someone else to take on his post." Xavier said. That's when it struck me. "Amanda, you can come with us. A new member!" I said. The others agreed but Amanda didn't look too happy. "It's an honor. But dad chose you guys to do the work. I cannot join in." She said.
"Mr. Flames could be counted as one of us as he created this group. Now that he is gone, you should take his position. You are a DELTA from now on." Oliver officially announced. Amanda seemed happy and we got into the warship.
