Mark was leaning his back on a tree with his left leg cross to his right and he had a wicked smile on his face.
His eyes seemed to be unreal, though. It was as if someone was controlling him, making him do this. "Where's Oliver?" I asked immediately, having a serious face. "Wait up, pal. Not so quick. Your friend has been taken somewhere. The giant carried him away." Mark said which made my veins boil. "How dare you!" I exclaimed, my voice raising.
"Where is Oliver?" Amanda enquired. Mark smiled and replied, "For that, my lady, I need Blaze Hunt." Then his attention switched to me. "You are the one I need. I will take you to Oliver but only if you surrender yourself now. You both can die together I guess."
He was smart. I knew that if I didn't go, Oliver would be in trouble. I looked at Amanda and she shook her head. "No way is Blaze going with you!" She declared. Mark's wicked smile was now getting irritating. I remembered all the good times Oliver and I were together. (Well, the good times were really less. So I even started remembering the bad times.)
We both were totally alike except for our attitude. A true friend is who is happy with your success and when in vain, he is first one to arrive for comforting you. That was Oliver for me. I knew I had to save him. And if it meant going with this jerk, I would do it.
"I'll come. Take me to Oliver." I stated. Amanda looked at me in horror. "Are you out of your mind?! This is a trap." He warned. I smiled and replied, "I know. But our whole life is filled with traps. This is another one. I have to go. Meet Lily and Xavier and tell them the news. I promise we'll meet you at Mount Hysuptris."
Amanda still did not look certain but nodded. "Meet you on the other side, Blaze. Good Luck." She said. I looked at Mark who was eager to guide me to the trap. "Shall we proceed?" He asked though the answer was clear. I walked up to him and together, we started going south. I thought Great! Going further into the worst possible direction. But I knew I wasn't going any close to the Temple of Past.
With one last look at Amanda, I left. I had no idea where Mark was taking me but one thing was for sure – wherever I was headed to; I was going to find giants. Oliver too, was taken by a giant. This meant that there was a chance of Raptor's presence there. But why would he have a halt instead of awakening the King? I shook the thoughts away.
Before I knew it, behind me were two giants who were guarding my back. Another tall one came from the side. I was being surrounded so that I wouldn't escape.
"Tell me where we are headed to!" I demanded. Mark replied, "We are going to my town, Kitlus Town. Let's hurry, Raptor would be waiting."
