I lazily opened my eyes. My vision was dizzy and I could not hear things clearly. I saw that I was in a dark place and there were two people. But I couldn't see who they were until I came back to my senses.
Oliver was present there, his face was panic-stricken and he was trying to lift a rock fallen on the right leg of Mark who was in agony. I made a sound to show that I was still alive. Oliver turned behind in horror and saw me. He left everything and rushed to me. "H-how did you survive? Raptor said y-you were dead?!" Oliver exclaimed.
I looked at Mark who was having a hard time. "What happened here?" I enquired. Oliver replied, "Raptor hit you then you went still as if you were dead. He went off with his army and blocked us in the cave with rocks. One of them fell on Mark. We need to help him!"
I slowly crawled towards Mark. I had no idea why Oliver wanted to help the enemy but something about Mark was changed. He didn't have those red eyes from before. "Don't worry. We'll get you out." I comforted him and looked at Oliver. He nodded, getting the idea. We both grabbed the bottom of the rock and yelled as we used all our strength to lift it. Oliver was shocked to see my muscles and his eyes went wide. "How did you get those muscles?!" He asked between pants. I didn't reply and kept lifting the rock.
The rock was finally thrown behind and Mark was saved. He screamed in pain as his hands went directly to his right leg. "What should we do?" I asked Oliver. He was a first aid specialist and that's exactly what Mark needed. "Getting me some cloth!" Oliver ordered and I rushed to my bag on the side. Thankfully, I hadn't forgotten to bring that with me when Mark led me to the place.
I tore one of my old shirts and passed it to Oliver who quickly went to work. After a minute of first-aiding, Mark had his right knee wrapped with the cloth and the blood flow had seemed to stop. I was relieved and directly fell down.
"Mark was being used by Raptor. He controlled Mark and had ordered him to find you. Well, what about you? What happened?" Oliver said. I narrated the whole story. In between Oliver said things like, There really is heaven and hell?! You were dead! Amanda is your cousin?!
"There's no time for all this. We need to get to Mount Hysuptris before the Night of Xorains. I wish I could have asked about that to Rock Flames." I said. "Night of Xorains. I vaguely remember that date. Raptor talked about it when I was under his control. I cannot recollect though." Mark said with his hands on his head.
"You have to think, bro! That is our only way to success." Oliver exclaimed. I said, "Okay, try to remember. But we need to go to Mount Hysuptris. That's the first thing."
Then when everyone agreed, an exhausted Oliver, an injured Mark and a re-born Blaze Hunt walked out of the now broken cave.
