"How much further?!" Cielo yelled
"Just a little longer!" Terra yelled back
We've been walking for two and a half weeks just like Rocheux said. Although, we did take more breaks than we should have since we weren't used to walking so much.
"Alright! This is a perfect time for a break!" Cielo yelled as he skipped into the bushes around us.
"We're going to go ahead! Catch up when you can!" I yelled into the direction of the forest where Cielo went.
"Don't you think he'll get lost?" Terra asked
"Nah. You can't get rid of him that easily" I said
We continued down the path on our way to find the next town.
"When will we know we're there?" Luna asked
"There should be-" Terra was cut off as people emerged from the surrounding bushes. They held battle axes in their hands, ready to strike. They had coverings over their faces, dressed in all white.
"Green hair! Leave!" One of them yelled out.
Terra held his hands up and said "I didn't know you guys checked this road now. Hehe...what a coincidence"
I whipped my head over towards him. "What do you mean? Are we not allowed to move between towns?" I asked
"Normal people can. But not the weapons." The same person answered.
I looked over at them "Weapons? Why?"
"Don't answer her! She has different hair! Just like the Green hair! The other girl as well" A different person yelled out
"Take them in! We'll deal with them later!"
I held my hand out on instinct to bring out my sword.
"Our weapons don't work!" Luna yelled
My hand cracked and formed into the shape of my sword. It was slightly more painful than usual but I managed not to flinch. The sword didn't even finish transforming. It was still made from my flesh and bone unlike the usual metallic material. It was still sharp and sturdy but I was a bit scared of what would happen if I took a hit that was too strong.
"They do now but be careful with them. Don't be reckless with them " I yelled not wanting to let the enemy know that they weren't working well. I ran towards the group of people as the others tried their weapons.
I swung my sword upwards to block the incoming axe. The blade got stuck to the handle of the axe so I grabbed the person by their shirt with my other hand and I yanked them down forcing my blade to cut off the blade of their weapon. I swing the side of my blade down on their head and knock them out.
Looking around, I see the others fighting off their own crowd. I wanted to help them out but more kept getting in my way. I didn't want to kill anyone but if this keeps going for too long, I'm not sure if we'll be able to manage to keep so many people away.
I kept swinging my sword against each blow that came my way. Unfortunately, for every hit my sword took the more painful it was to keep my sword out. Not to mention that my sword arm was literally getting hacked off piece by piece with each hit.
I was losing too much blood and my vision was getting blurry. I looked over at the others who weren't in any better shape than me. Especially Luna whose main job was to take hits. Her shield was all bloodied and torn. In her other hand she held a sword that we brought from the last town.
Terra's hand grew longer and thinner than my shorter handle and at the end of it was a blade that curved at the end. He used the handle to block the axes and only used the blade for longer distances. Even though he was knocking several people down, the handle was also covered in cuts and bloodied up.

I looked behind to see Luna on the floor holding her bloody shield which was now broken in half.
The person swung their axe down on her but I rammed my sword through their stomach and kicked them out of the way.
I kneeled down beside Luna. I rummaged through the bag that Cielo left behind. I used the blanket to try and stop the bleeding while fighting off people.
"I can crawl away. Leave me alone" she said
"I am not going to just leave you to crawl away" I said as I swung my sword through another person's neck.
We suddenly hear Terra yelling "We surrender! We surrender!"
He had several people surrounding him as he held his hands in the air.
"We can't fight so many people with damaged weapons" he said "Please just take us as prisoners and send us back"
The people surrounding me backed off but didn't let go of their weapons.
"Get rid of your weapons and lay on the ground!" One of the people said
Terra nodded and his hand went back to normal. I followed suit but when I looked down to check up on Luna, she still had her weapon out.
"Her weapon is still regenerating! It's won't go back to normal for a few hours" I said
"Fine! Just don't use it against us"
We got onto the ground and people came over to us and tied our hands tightly.
They let us get back up but lead us through the forest where several horses were waiting.
"Where are we going?" I asked
"To Recht"
