Rnngggggg.........
Finally, the bell rang and I was out of my misery. Math can be tiring sometimes, all the equations and formula made my head hurt.
"Come on Gab," my blonde hair friend called. She was standing at the door waiting for me. I gathered all my things and put it inside my bag as I went to her.
"Do you have a plan today?" she asked.
"Nothing in particular Sam," I replied in a bored manner.
"Let's go shopping!" she chirped.
"Do I have a choice?" I sighed.
We walked into the alley and everyone was looking at me. Well, I'm used to it. As the only heir of the Sullivans family, I am famous in my school. We are the most wealthy family here in our city and everyone is looking up on me. I'm being admire for my riches and my beauty. I know I'm kind of smug, but I am raise that way.
I walked head up high with my friend Samantha. Everyone was greeting me and I returned it with smiles. Well, more on a practised smile.
My attention was smitten when everyone stopped and looked on the other way. At that moment I felt like I'm invisible. What the heck did they saw? Or better to asked, whom the heck did they saw?
I gazed in the direction where the people were looking and saw an answer. I gritted my teeth with annoyance. I hate that guy! That Breece Timothy Fitzgerald! Well, they are my family rival in business and wealth, and I don't like his guts.
He walked on my way and our eyes met. His face was unreadable, and his slate grey eyes were staring at me. He paused in front of me and we start our staring game. I tried to decipher his thought, but I failed to do so. He is like a blank canvas. I studied his face and noticed his chiselled jawline and well-defined cheekbones. It was quite impressive how perfect his face is sculpted.
Just then, I realized that people were looking at us. I must break our staring contest, but I'm not the kind of girl that admits defeat. I masked my face with the sweetest smile I can muster.
"Hi Fitzgerald," I greeted him. A small twitch tugged on his lips,
is he smiling? Or it is only my imagination?
"Hello Gabriela," he replied. His voice was cold as ice that it sent shivered to my body.
"Breece! Come on, let's go! We're gonna be late," a guy called up to him.
"Hasta Lavista" he smirked then disappeared.
I gave a cold gazed to all the people who were looking at us, and slowly they disappeared like a speck of dust.
"What did Breece said? Oh my god. He is so hot! I will do anything to be his girlfriend Gab!" Samantha chirped.
"I don't know Sam! Forget about him, okay? And let's go shopping!" I commanded and she rolled her eyes. This little witch! I wonder if she is really my friend sometimes.
Adios Fitzgerald! I hope we will never see each other again.

Drowning ourselves into shopping, I didn't notice that it is already night. My dad called me up 'cos we will be having dinner together. It's our routine that every Friday we will have our bonding despite his hectic schedule.
I love my dad so much, and you can probably call me a daddy's girl. He's the only one that I've got since my mom died when I was still seven years old.
I'm grateful that he never remarry to another woman. Dad said that he will always love Mom and no woman can replace her. That I am the fruit of their love and whenever he looked at me he sees Mom on me.
Well, a lot of people said that I am a complete duplicate of her. With my ginger hair and jade eyes, I always stood out in the crowd. The traits that Mom inherited to me.
"I need to go home now Sam. Dad is waiting for me," I said to my friend.
"Are you going tomorrow? My Mom will be holding charity events and all the sons and daughters of the wealthy family will be going there. I'm sure Breece will be going there too. I cannot wait to wrap my hands on him," she stated.
"Of course, I will be going Sammy. The party wouldn't be complete without me," I smirked. Mentioning the name of Fitzgerald, made my blood boiled to a hundred degrees. I may be selfish, but I don't want him for Sam.
"Yeah, of course," she replied. I smiled at her as I saw our car approaching.
"So goodbye then. See you tomorrow dear," I said goodbye and she kissed me on my cheeks.
It took only fifteen minutes when we arrived home. I rushed inside our house, feeling excited to see my Dad. It's been last week since the day I saw him. He's been busy with his work these days and I'm kind of worry.
Opening the door, I saw my Dad frantically walking around. He was holding a huge suitcase, pacing backwards and forward finding things I didn't know what.
"Dad! What's wrong?!" I dashed toward him as my heart beginning to beat erratically. Terror flashed in his eyes while he looked at me.
"Gabriela, you must go. Maria will accompany you," he said.
"But why Dad?! Please tell me what's happening?" Tears rilled down to my face.
"There's no time to explain my daughter. Here...You can buy all the necessary things you need," he held a bank book to me and a card.
"And this one, you must value this as your own life. Keep safe, Daddy loves you always even if I'm gone, " he gave me a necklace with a key pendant and hugged me so tight. My body shivered for the thought that he will be gone.
"I love you too Dad. Please, I beg you, explain to me what is happening!" My mouth was trembling as tears won't stop flowing from my eyes. He kissed my forehead without saying anything. Sadness was evident on his face.
"Go now," he pleaded. He pushed me lightly.
"But Dad!" I hissed grasping his arm.
"Now!" he commanded. I jumped to my feet with his voice so firmed. He never talked to me like that. The next thing I know Maria was tugging me.
"The Fitzgerald," Dad whispered to himself.
I was crying out loud but Dad remained to stand, not moving an inch. Maria was dragging me towards the back door.
"Hurry my lady," Maria pleaded when suddenly the front door blows up. My heart leaps and I was frozen, unable to move. My eyes widen as I saw a man with a gun wearing a sinister smile. A dragon tattooed painted on his arms with a look of a devil on his face.
"Let's go," Maria whispered grabbing my arm with full force. We dashed outside as fast as we can. My eyes were so hazy 'cos of the tears flowing on it.
My heart skipped a beat the moment I heard gunfire. My knees weakened and it made me hard to breathe. I was frozen to the place where I was standing.
"Come on, ride in the car now," Maria pleaded. I was so weak that I can no longer protest.
My eyes were flooded with tears. I gritted my teeth for the grief and hatred that I felt. My Dad was gone now. I had no one left but myself. Clenching my fist, I realized that I was still holding the necklace that he gave.
Don't worry Dad, I will avenge you and it will be the sweetest vengeance of all.
