Chapter 4 - Chapter 3

It was a remarkable experience to be able to play airsoft. Every Saturday Ellie and I were playing it, and for the record, we always won. I never saw that guy named Adrian again. After our first game, they said he went abroad to study.

Other than that, I was also doing good in school. Ellie and I were classmates, and we were like twins, difficult to separate.

I was doing my assignments in our room when I felt tired and decided to browse my phone.

News are vital for me. It's been a year since the occurrence of the incident. I need to be updated on everything that is happening in Baltimore.

My jaw tightens and I narrowed my eyes to the article I read.

Arturo Sullivan took over the Sullivan's Group of Companies

After a year of death of Enrique Sullivan, the former CEO and owner of Sullivan's Group of Companies, his brother Arturo Sullivan finally took over the ownership. Following the legal proceeding, the majority came to an agreement that the rightful proprietor will be the closest kin of the late business tycoon. His daughter, Gabriela Sullivan is still missing up to these dates.

On July 28, the lifeless body of Enrique Sullivan was found at his mansion, and reports said that the businessman ended his own life. This case remained confidential.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Range was exploding all over my body. My body quivered because of the anger I felt. I want to shout and cry out loud, but I promised myself that I will never shed tears on this matter. The vengeance I felt keeps stronger every day that passed.

How dare they say that my Dad commits suicide! I don't know who are the people behind this crime. But, I have three suspects, the man with a dragon tattoo, the Fitzgeralds and Uncle Arturo. I need a piece of evidence! Bloody hell!

"Are you okay Gab?" Ellie questioned. She sat down beside me, patted my back. I opened my eyes and looked at her.

"No, I'm not," I answered. She turned her gaze to my phone and she saw the article I was reading.

"What will you do now?" she queried with concern.

"I will wait for the right time. After all, patience is a virtue," I smiled.

As times goes by, the pain disappears but the feeling of vengeance remained.

It has been five years now when Dad died. My life as Bella Miller has been marvellous. I graduated in Business Administration Degree and has a job as Executive Manager in one of the prestigious company. I became a specialist in airsoft and studied martial arts such as Judo. At this point in my life, I am ready for whatever afflictions they throw. But one thing I kept on my mind, as Bella I must keep myself lowly. To avenge my father, I must keep my true identity a secret.

Today, I turned twenty-one. The right time I have been waiting for. The time to do all my plan into action.

"Happy birthday to you Sissy!" Ellie greeted me. She embraced me tightly that I can't even breathe.

"Ellie, I can't breathe!" I hissed and she chuckled. Maria walked to me and hugged me. Tears filled her eyes.

"Happy birthday Gabriela. You have grown to be a beautiful young lady. I am happy that your parents have given me the privilege to take care of you," she cried. I tried to fight back tears, but it spills out.

"Thank you, Maria. You and Ellie are my family now and I love you both," I said. Ellie was sobbing at my back while she was holding a cake.

"Here's your cake Gab," Ellie hiccuped. Maria and I laughed together.

"Now, make your wish Gabriela," said Maria then she lighted up the candle.

I closed my eyes and made a wish. I wish that I can get justice for my father. Then I blew the candle.

"Maria, I will be going abroad," I stated. My words were sudden, that I didn't expect it to get out of my mouth.

Ellie furrowed her brows and Maria put her full attention at me. She was silent as if she was thinking deeply. I waited for her to asked me where will I go. But she didn't ask.

"You're a grown-up lady, and if I say no, I know you will not listen to me. So you can go, " she gave permission. I was so relieved that she did not ask further.

"But promise me one thing Gabriela, keep yourself safe and remember we love you," she added. Smile painted on my face as I said, "I promise. "

Everything went fine. We celebrated my birthday with a dinner. Ellie was eating her cake,

she was looking in my way, creasing her forehead and murmuring words I cannot understand. Maria and I were talking animately.

Once we had finished our celebration, I went to my room and Ellie followed me.

"Where will you go?" she lifted her brow as she closes the door.

"I will go back to the United States," I answered.

"What will you do there?" she crossed her arms, tapping her foot, waiting for my answer.

"It's time for me to avenge my father Ellie. I have been waiting for so long and now that I'm already at the right age, I will take what is mine. I will make them pay triple for what they did to Dad," I answered honestly. I cannot lie to my best friend.

"It's dangerous Gabriela! I will accompany you!" she stated, but I shook my head.

"No Ellie! You cannot! Maria needs you here," I objected.

"And you know me. I'm a badass," I said wearing a smirked on my face.

"And a smug one too," Ellie gave me her toothy grin. I glared at her but she stuck her tongue out.

"Shut up Elizabeth!" I snorted.

"But seriously, promise me Gab that," she paused. I waited for her to finish but she did not talk. She looked serious, I wonder if somebody possess her. I knew Ellie for so long, and never in her life, she became so serious.

"Promise you what!?" I finally asked.

"That you," she paused and I furrowed my brows.

"Never forget," she continued.

"That you are Bella Miller, a NICE and SHY girl," and that's it. She laughed out loud. My mouth hanged open.

"Really? You're unbelievable," I hissed and she squeezes me with her hug.

"I will miss you, Sissy," her voice was low.

"I will miss you too Ellie," I replied as I patted her back.

*****

It was the day of my departure, Maria and Ellie accompanied me to the airport. I said goodbye to the two wonderful women, both of them were crying, and I cried too. That was one of the saddest moments in my life. Saying goodbye was hard but it was the right thing to do.

I travelled alone. I can't explain what I felt, but it is a mixture of excitement and nervousness. After five years, finally, I will go back home.

I wore a black off-shoulder dress that accentuated my hourglass figure. A black holster was skillfully hidden beneath my leg, attached with my Glock 26 gun or what I called baby Glock. It is a small gun, about five inches long that I carried wherever I go. My brown hair was exquisitely curled and I didn't bother to put on my eyeglasses. I miss my ginger red hair, I miss my old self, and I miss being Gabriela Sullivan. I want to be myself even for a day.

Finally, I arrived at my destination. My home. It took me seven hours of travel from Belize to Baltimore. My head was aching because of jet lag. I was walking at the airport to get my baggage. It's kind of lonely without Ellie. I miss the little vixen. I need to call her, I promised to call her when I already arrived.

So, I turned my phone on, but messages keep coming in. It was Ellie's messages. I was busy scanning my phone when I bumped into a hard wall, or better to say a muscular chest with a black suit and navy blue tie.

He was a tall man. Slowly I held my head up, scrutinizing him. Familiar hypnotizing grey eyes were staring at me. My stomach tightens as I looked at his expressionless face. His well-defined jaw was a sculpture's masterpiece, and his face, it was grizzled with manlike, five o'clock shadow. He is a very fine specimen of mankind.

My heart was beating insanely and calming myself was not easy. I hope he didn't recognize me. I won't let him discovered that I am Gabriela Sullivan.

I smiled, the sweetest and innocent smile I could muster.

"I'm sorry," I softly apologized and looked away.

I didn't wait for an answer. I walked away, without looking back. Don't worry, I will see you soon Breece Timothy Fitzgerald. It's payback time.
