After a half an hour of journey, Anna stopped at the huge iron gates.
After scanning her retina and matching her finger print, she finished her audio recognition and answered a couple of questions to finish the authentication procedures.
The huge iron gates opened with a creak and Anna rode her card inside.
After a couple of minutes, she drove her car into the underground parking space and then took the elevator upstairs.
The interior is decorated with black and gray theme. Minimalistic and spacious, it is modern and stylish.
The main attraction, however, is not its interiors but the robots and advanced automated technology that hasn't yet been released to the public.
"Anna" a warm loving voice greeted her as she stepped into the living room.
"Justin!!" a smile appeared on her lips as she exclaimed in shock. Her eyes twinkled as she marched towards him and gave a hug.
Justin laughed, every inch of his face filled with overflowing dotingness. He ruffled her head and hugged her shoulder with another.
"When did you come here??" she asked, still in his warm embrace.
"I found out about Mr and Mrs. Danvers' demise just yesterday. So, I flew here after finding out that you are here." he told her.
"Yes, their death was quite sudden." Anna answered.
"Are you okay?" Justin asked.
"I am fine. It's not like they are -" before she could finish her sentence, an excited voice interfered.
It is Brianna.
"Justin!" Brianna flew to his side but didn't hug him. She maintained her distance but her excitement was obvious in her eyes.
"Brianna in a man's costume. Why am I not surprised?" he asked.
"Well, I wanted to be there for Anna so, I had to follow some rules that were forced on me." Brianna pouted.
"That is the gravity of your background." Justin simply said.
"True. True." Brianna didn't protest like she does with others. It's the respect and fear she has for him.
"Are you here to visit Anna?" she asked.
"I am here for the charity event actually. So, I thought why not visit you guys." Justin simply lied.
"Oh. Even Anna is going." Brianna told him.
"I heard." he responded but only Anna could recognise the undertone and shuddered a bit.
"I am going on a trek with Clinton. Three days, two nights." Brianna beamed.
"Only you both? If your big brother finds out, he will kill me!" Anna exclaimed and shuddered again.
Justin threw a glance at Anna but she smartly ignored him.
"I wouldn't dare. He will kill me, not you. You will always be the safest one even if my brother goes into a violent rampage." Brianna said.
"Who else is coming with you?" Anna asked, shifting the topic.
"Little two and Little three are coming with us. I will still be dressed as a man. So, it will look like a double date." Brianna was glad the topic changed or else, Justin would be the one to go rampant here.
"That's good." Anna said, relieved.
"You both continue the talk. I will be going back. I came here to collect some documents Allen asked me to pass." Brianna said and she shuddered because of chilly glare from Justin and quickly ran away.
"These guys follow you everywhere." Justin said, not hiding his discontent from Anna.
"Well, they love me." Anna answered with a small awkward chuckle.
"You sure it's love not -"
"Please don't bring this up again if you want me to leave this place with a smile." Anna quickly interjected.
"Fine." Justin conceded.
"I heard that you are now a secretary in that measly company." Justin asked.
Danvers corps is a MNC, a billion dollar company and is in the top 30 companies of the country but in Justin's eyes it's not that impressive.
"First of all, it's not measly." Anna said.
"And, I am just trying to help Kyle to become independent and live the life he deserves. I will be able to let everything go once he becomes the CEO of this company and build a happy life." Anna added.
"Alright." Justin simply said.
"Promise not to cause trouble." Anna asked.
"Fine." he agreed.
"What about Aiden Fletcher? You guys are getting back together?" Justin asked.
Anna froze then and there.
Justin pursed his lips and took her cold hand into his and enveloped it in between his warm palms.
"Whatever makes you happy." he told her as he wiped away the tear on the rim of her eyes.
"I know." Anna was muffled with the sob.
"But-" Before she could say anything Justin interjected.
"No, buts. You deserve the carefree life which you actually was fated to have." he told her and as his phone rang for a while he left to receive it.
After that, Anna collected the parcel for which she actually came and then left the manor to get ready for the event.
