Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 The Missing Daughter is not so missing.

"How is this going to work out?" I asked, glaring at him. "I have responsibilities here but at the same time I have family in the outside world."

Father opened his mouth then closed it. "Good point."

I tapped the desk tilting my head. "Have an idea but." I said tapping my fingers.

"But what?" Father Carniola and Logan asked.

"It's dangerous you are here on a two-part mission to find me and to start interactions with Vampires." I said. "The tournament would let us speak to the other kings and queens, but we have to worry about the Bloodborn clan." I sighed looking at Gareth.

"I can return to my king and get a guard up for them as this is true it would be nice to have contact with the outside world." Gareth speaks up.

"Please do not need the Bloodborn clan starting a war." Logan said with a sigh.

"I would agree the Bloodborns are savages." Varance sighed.

"Isn't the Bloodborns the ones that you said for Xavier to fear." Carniola asked me.

"Indeed, but they are also are some of the strongest of the Vampires when it comes to brute strength." I sighed leaning back drumming my fingers on the desk as I tried to figure out what course of action we should do. "I know I said when we found your daughter, we would bring Xavier in but if we are going to this, I would rather not bring him in. I would not recommend taking a child anywhere near the Bloodborns. Laws or no laws they may just attack him."

"I understand what you mean I do think it would be smart to not bring him in just yet." Carniola agrees.

"Well while we are nocturnal, I know humans are not." Father said. "I am sure you all would like some sleep."

"We need to move to your schedule if we are going to be around for a while." Carniola says.

"While that is smart probably best not tonight." Logan says, "You and your team just traveled over 15 hours by foot to get here."

"Or stay up as late as you can then sleep in as late as you can and switch from that." Father said.

I opened my mouth when three guards stormed in with Susan glaring at them. "What is going on?" Logan asked as Father put himself in between them and our guest.

"These bumbling idiots attacked Kat when she was guarding the set of rooms, she said had guests of the house of Arcaria when I came across them."

"Which they are." Father growled.

"My lord my king." One of them started.

"What Arlone?" He asked with a glare.

"Humans…" He started.

"Are my guests and family." I stepped in glaring at him. "And not all of them are human." That shut them up. "Now go to your rooms you will be keeping the pages and younglings away from our guest."

All three of them groaned. "Yes Ma'am." As they slinked out of the room.

"Thank god Kat is one of our strongest lady knights." Logan sighed.

"And a brawler!" Susan sighed. "Greetings." She nods the them.

"Greetings." They said back.

"May I ask what is going on?"

"Opening communication." Logan said as I moved around the office looking for a book I know Logan has.

"What are you looking for." Father asked.

"A law books." I said. "The oldest laws tend to have more weight with the Bloodbound clan. I want to make sure they can't pull some stupid shit." I started pulling law books out.

"What law are you looking for?"

"The one that is about Human diplomates." I tell them. "If I remember right it's in one of these old tomes." Father took one Ca…Mother took one as did Logan and Sarah.

"Laws and fighting are your specialty." Father said as Logan pulled out two other books after about two hours the seven of us were pouring over books.

"Ericha!" Tacal said.

"What did you find?" I asked.

"This said if a peaceful diplomat comes in and three of the five kings/queens grants them passage."

"Who was it signed by?" I asked.

He scanned the page. "A king Mallow Lamia, Hector Blood, Rufis Toran, Kadeem Night and." He leaned back and tilted his head. "Demetrius North."

"So, all five of the first vampires." Father said.

"We have two of the three." Logan said.

"Yes, but it said three of five we probably need more as there are now ten clans." I said tapping my fingers on the table. Then snap. "Queen Breanna."

"True after everything Queen Breanna never removed us from the Ally title." Father said.

"I will go speak to her." Father said as shadows swallow him whole.

Tacal pointed to the spot he had been standing. "I am glad he is on our side. I don't know anyone who could possibly out match his ability."

"A light witch might but I don't think any of them would have the know how to out match someone with shadows that's not a magic we have." Norman said.

"A dragon might as well but your right I think Jazin would have been able to match him but..." Mother said.

"I am glad my Father was smart enough to take him into our clan when his father kicked him out." Logan sighed.

I lean back in the chair and sighed. "Father is powerful." I agree with them. "Though from what he said Grandfather was more powerful." I said sitting up.

"True from what Grandfather told me he was one hell of a warrior." Logan nods.

"Father was indeed a scary opponent." Father said as he and Queen Breanna stepped out of the shadows.

"Queen Breanna!" Logan said as we all stood up.

"King Logan, Lady Arcaria, Delegates, and Elder Susan." She says, smiling her fangs flashing as she does. "Lord Arcaria tells me that we had human delegates and I just had to come. I never thought humans would return in peace." She looks at them. "Father would always say that humans would only come for war." She rubs her hands together. "But what can I do for you?"

"There's a law that says that if three of five kings/queens allow human delegates to pass unharmed by all." Logan said.

"There are ten clans now though." Breanna said.

"Yes, but we have 2 from the ancient clans the North and Torant clans." I said. "I was thinking three of the ancient clans would hold the weight of the law or at least get three ancient clans and one new clan." She nods.

"Your right the five ancient clans have the most pull and if you are worried about the Bloodbounds then your right they could care less about the young clans." Queen Breanna said. "I will speak to my niece and see if we can get the Nightworth clan behind this too."

"We also possibly have the Cornver clan." Father said.

She makes a face. "That backward clan makes me want to punch them." She said.

"You're not the only one." Father said, rolling his eyes. "They're the youngest clan and they can't even be respectful of the older clans' ways."

"I swear I thought you were going to kill that kid Garth brought with him." Logan snorted.

"What happened?" Ca… Mother asked.

"Someone thought they had the right to insult the Lady Knights." I said. "Many me." Shrugged as I started shuffling through papers not looking up.

"Does the idiot have a death wish?" Queen Breanna asked. "The last time someone insulted the Lady Knights we had a clan incident."

"That was not my fault!" Susan said. "That male had no right to say we were sluts."

"No, he did not." Dad snorts.

"Now we need to find out who and where are

I sighed as I sat on my bed as I rubbed my hand. It was once again a claw. "Damn it." I said as I got up and headed to the guest sweet where my mother was. "What is going on with your hand?" Kat asked me as she saw me.

"I don't know that's why I am asking." I said walking past her and knocking on the door we had finished with meeting about halfway through the night now it was around noon.

"Hey there Diana!" Jason said as he blinked at my hand. "Ohhh I hate when that happens.

"You mean this is normal?" I asked him

"Kinda it happens when your Familiar is trying to speak to you but can't reach you." He said.

"How do I fix it?" I asked him.

"Oh that's easy you have to link into our magic." I just looked at him. "Right okay come on I will get your mom to walk you through this it's different for the different types of familiars." I follow him into the sweet.

"Diana!" Vicky said with a smile.

"Hello, Vicky." I said softly.

"Ohh yea that looks like your familiar is screaming at you." She said looking at my arm.

"Yea but I don't even know what to do with it." I said

"Your Dragon is trying to tell you something." She said.

"I don't know how to talk to it." I tell her with a sigh.

"Come then my dear." Mother said as she yawned and brought me to her bedroom.

"How do I deal with this?" I asked her.

"Come sit." She said as she set on the bed and I joined her. "Have you meditated before."

"Yes, it helps with my shadows."

"Good start meditation but focus on the dragon on your back." She tells me. "Feel the pull that is there and let it flow." I let myself follow her instructors and gasp as I look up at the dragon.
