As Kat opens the door Sarah turns to look at her. "Breakfast time?" Sarah asks as several guards are standing behind her.
"It is, but first will be your one and only warning." Both Kat and I glared at them making them shiver. "No attacking the non-vampires."
With that, she steps out of the way and the others enter the room. "Day's blessings." I said to them as they came in and took their seats leaving several spots between Leo and Tony who sat closest to him
"Days blessings." They muttered back to me. Well, at least no one has attacked yet. Leo goes and brings out pitchers of warmblood so everyone can start eating well the day shift of guards as several night shift guards come into the room.
"Days blessings Milady." One of them said half asleep walked up to me
"Days blessings to you as well Nathaniel what can I do for you?" I asked him
"Several of the pages are wishing to speak to either you the king or Prince Matthew. but it seems Prince Matthew has got himself a hold of Venom again." Nathaniel said when knowing how much King Logan hates when Matthew gets a hold of them.
"Thankfully that's not what his enemy has stemmed from." I tell him. "There is a drink from the outside called coffee that acts similar to Venom to a vampire system." I tell him he lets out a sigh and can look about as relieved as I've ever seen him.
"What do the pages want to speak about?" Father asked him.
"It seems the oldest page has gotten the younger ones together demanding to be let out of their quarters." Nathaniel says as he looks at me not sure what to do.
With a sigh, I step around the table. "It's a step up to him." I said Softly "Let's go handle this before King Logan awakens."
"Of course." He says.
I followed him to the wing where the pages slept. Loran glared down at the Young page and stood before her as we walked up. "What is going on here?" I asked them calmly.
"This young one is trying to start a riot." Loran said
"Cole." I sighed as I looked at him. "How many times have I told you you can't get the younger pages to Do Your Dirty Work."
"But my lady why are we being kept in our quarters." He demanded for me I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Young one we have visitors who have heartbeats." I tell him, making him wince. "You know that you and the other Pages cannot handle heartbeats without wanting to attack whatever has that heartbeat."
"That's what Loran said." He tells me. "But I doubt that's the truth." he says.
"Then you should have listened to your Elder and you should listen to me. When have I ever lied to you?
"You haven't." He said scowling. "But why now with the humans returning and why do you say with heartbeats and not just humans?" He asked me.
"Because apparently humans created other beings besides vampires and it would be rude to call them humans just like calling us humans they're not witches and werewolves why they're called werewolves I do not know."
"Oh." He says as he looks at the floor I sigh and I look at him and then to the door that led into the pages quarters
"Let's go talk to the others." I tell him as I open the door.
" Lady Diana Lady Diana one of them calls as I walk in, making me stop and wrap myself around my leg cool "Hannah please get off of my leg."I tell her.
"Lady Diana is it true if humans really returned?" She asks as the others gather around us. With a sigh, I sit down in the guard chair
"It is true that humans have returned." I tell them. "It's not just humans who have returned. It turns out they didn't learn their lessons with the vampires; there are two new species called witches and werewolves not sure how old they are yet. However, they have Heartbeats you guys aren't old enough to handle heartbeats yet and you know it's going to be some adults it's not going to be able to handle this either. So I understand that you're not comfortable in your quarters all day and all night but as long as you stay in the page wing we don't care if you socialize with each other going to each other's rooms to spend the day the night at each other like you cannot leave this wing I tell them.
"So then you are not punishing us for pranking Miss opal? Lil Tony asked.
I laugh at this. "So it was you guys to prank Opal." I confirmed with a smile. "No Tony no this is not punishment for pranking Miss Opal. Instead, I think I commend you. Oh, She should be more aware of her surroundings since you guys shouldn't be able to sneak up behind her. Though I do ask that you keep your pranks away from the civilians.
They fiddle with the hammes of their sleeves and Ashley looks at me. "So it's okay if we prank the guards?" One of the small ones asked.
"If you can pull off a successful prank on one of our guards, it deserves it." I said leaning forward. "They should know by now how to detect you guys should be able to hear what is going on. Please think nothing harmful."
"So no putting Venom in anybody's drinks?" Tony asked
"No, no Venom." I tell them. "That would fall under mildly harmful because the king probably have them cleaning out the dragon dong and I'd have you helping them."
"Yes ma'am." Ashley spoke up.
I lean back in the chair smile anthem. "Can you tell us anything about the visitors?" Emma asks.
"Well one of them happens to be my biological mother." I said sitting forward-looking at them. "Apparently anything not human lives a lot longer than humans do. And apparently, there was a war between humans witches and werewolves about 300 years ago give or take. We have a werewolf diplomat as broad as Lord Mike and a tall as Lord Phobos. Then where is the human diplomat who seems to be around elderly age he's got graying hair looks like he could use a nap." I snorted, making them laugh.
"When do you think they'll be going away?" one of the pages asked me.
"Well depending on how the meeting goes with Lady Nightshade will depend on how long they stay or leave and come back later." I tell them
"And if they do stay?" Emma asks.
"They'll be here for two weeks and then we will be going to the tournament that the Covern clan setup. So they can meet the rest of the leaders."
"So we're stuck in our wing for 2 weeks?'' Annie asked me.
"Yes." I tell them. "Food, classwork, and everything else will be brought to your wing" I tell them. "We are hoping you are going to get too far behind. However physical training will have to wait until the diplomats leave cast on physical training swordsman skills and The Squire test we'll all be flashback by 2 weeks. King Logan has agreed to open the ballroom at the end of this wing so you may practice on your own time but the instructors will be busy keeping the younger guards away from our guests." I tell them.
"I know that It's going to be hard and I know you're feeling like you're being punished but you're not, loves." I tell them. "If you guys could control yourself I would have brought my little brother here to meet everyone and stay here while we went to the tournament." I tell them. "This isn't punishment guys this is a precaution."
"You have a little brother?" Annie asked me.
"Yea turns out my mom remarried and had another child while I was missing." I tell them.
"But you haven't been missing." Tony said.
"Not to us and there's a 30-year gap where no one knows what happened to me." I shrugged. "And I was missing for my mother and my birth father. Though he ended up dieing."
"How?" One of them asked.
"I don't know I didn't think it would be polite to ask my mom that." I changed the topic fast. "In other news, I can finally find my Hatoro."
"So you mean our king will have a new queen?" Orion asked.
I blinked at him them all of them started laughing. "What?" I asked the.
"Have not noticed the way the king looks at you?" Annie asked me.
"No." I said softly.
"I can't wait to find my Hatoro if they look at me the same way the king looks at you I know then I will be loved." Ashley speaks up.
I work my jaw not sure what to do with this. "Well." I said as I felt my skin warm as lighting danced down my arm. I blink at it. "Did anyone else see that?" I asked them.
"I saw that!" They all said with the same surprised look I had.
"Well, I take it that's my lighting magic that was being withheld from me." I said before stopping and I felt something brush against the back of my mind.
