Chapter 1 - Old Habits

We start on an empty barren wasteland, not many civilizations in sight, but the focus is inside a steel walled hallway of a large spaceship, hovering a few hundred feet above the ground. At the end of the hall is a steel door, which is suddenly broken down by a man holding a sword being thrown through it. This is Wally. "Ah..wasn't ready for that one..." Wally says as he slowly begins to get off the cold floor, picking up his sword as he gets up to continue the fight. Another man walks through the doorway, scraping the sword of his own against the wall, making an ear piercing noise. He wears a hood over his head, with glowing curved eyes and a glowing mouth beneath it while everything else is darkened. This is Morte. He looks down on Wally with a smug expression and taunts, "You aren't done yet, right?". Wally springs up and replies, "Far from it!". They leap at each other to continue their fight.

While clashing their swords against each others, Wally keeps eye contact with Morte as he tries his hardest to beat him, but every time their swords meet he loses balance and is forced to back up.

Neither one says a word to each other until they reach a stalemate, their swords are being pushed against each other's, trying to knock off the other's balance. Morte interrupts the silence when he says, "Open latch!" to seemingly no one, then a soft, "Yes, Sir!" echoes from his ear. Wally stays silent, but grows a confused expression before a hole in the floor beneath him opens up, revealing a 300 foot drop to the ground below him. He falls through, attempting to grab onto the edge of the hole but falls too quick to successfully grab it.

He braces himself for impact and then slams against the rocky ground with his sword landing near him, perfectly landing with it's blade in the ground. The gravity on this planet helped him not die instantly on impact, however he still got cuts and bruises. Morte looks down at him, and with a smirk he says to his earpiece, "Send down three prototypes." as he drops his sword back into the scabbard strapped to his back, which is followed by another little "Yes, Sir!".

Wally stands up, popping the joints in his back and arms, when he notices three little rectangular boxes falling down from the ship. "Oh god, what's he got now?" He says as he sees the boxes land around him, and start extending out arms, legs, and rifles to go with them. They eventually all transform into robots, the size of normal humans, with bizarre looking faces on them, and a very abnormal build. Wally tries pulling his sword out of the ground as the robots start aiming their rifles at him, but it won't budge. "Let's hit the road, I have places to be." Morte says to his earpiece, which is followed by the enormous rectangular ship he's in to send out large, strong flames shooting from the back thrusters, pushing it forward.

Wally finally pulls his sword out followed by a frustrated, "Augh, finally!". He then hears the engines and thrusters from the large ship above which make him jump. He looks up, and sees the ship exiting this planet's atmosphere. "He's leaving?" Wally thinks to himself, he then glares at the three robots in front of him, and shouts, "Fine then!" as he starts running at them, dodging bullets, with a look of determination.

For the one closest, he swipes past it, cutting it in half from the waist, and turns around to watch it fall to the ground in now two pieces. He then looks at the one farthest away. He stabs the ground with his sword, then pulls it forward and up out of the ground, facing the blade towards the robot. This is followed by loud rumbles from underground, and large stones and rocks begin sticking out of the ground, eventually crushing the robot underneath them.

The final one feels nervous, and starts spraying at Wally nonstop. Wally easily dodges each of the bullets by simply jumping and ducking. The robot shoots one more time, and Wally uses his sword like a baseball bat to deflect the bullet, which breaks off it's right arm. Wally then starts swiping his sword across the ground and in the air in a very particular and elegant looking motion, left to right, left to right, over and over, this forms a large ball of dust, rocks, and strong winds around him, he then points his sword up in the air, causing the ball of dust and winds to stretch up into the sky, creating a large tornado which reaches up to about 500 ft. The robot looks at the tornado with a nervous look on its face, and drops its gun in fear. Wally points his sword at the robot, and the tornado shoots forward, it picks up the robot and rips it to pieces. The tornado vanishes, dropping screws, bolts, and other random pieces of junk on the ground. Wally looks up to the sky where the large space ship once was with a frustrated look, and then pulls out a little cellphone with a short blinking antenna on top. He dials a number which picks up close to immediately. "You can pick me up now..." said with a slightly embarrassed tone.

A few minutes later a small pod shaped ship with a fin on the top and bottom is leaving the planet we were just on. Driving the ship is a tall, purple alien with small eyes, a round nose, 5 stumps around his head, and wearing a pilot uniform with a hat that has the letter P on it. This is Tayer. Wally is next to him in the passenger seat of the little ship, slouched and sleeping. "So how was it?" Tayer asked, which wakes up Wally. "Huh? Oh, fine, I guess." Wally says, attempting to shrug off the conversation. "Doesn't sound like it." Tayer responds with a concerned look. Wally just looks out the side window into deep space, staring into the stars, saying nothing. Tayer looks at Wally and says, "Wally, you won't stop him from just running at him head-first and expecting to kill him. You have to make a plan, think!". Wally straightens himself up and says, "But Morte's unpredictable! I can't exactly plan something if I don't know where he'll be far ahead of time.". "Well, think of what he could have wanted on that planet. Knowing that could help you figure out what he's trying to do." Tayer responded. "Good idea, I'll look into that right when we get back." Wally says, but is nearly cut off by Tayer saying, "Do that later." Wally looks over in confusion, he begins to say, "What do you…" and then has a look of realization on his face and finishes his sentence saying. "Oh… yeah..".
