The lights in the house were all off, I guessed that Nathaniel was already asleep since it was almost 2 a.m in the morning. I was tired as well so I went immediately to my room and collapsed on my soft bed without changing into my pajamas.
A few hours later
I was still half asleep when I heard my phone ring and vibrate next to me. I tried to reach it with my hand and turn it off and as soon as I opened my eyes to look at my phone, sunbeams hit me.
" Hello ?! ", said Ellie with a deep voice.
" Ellie ?! Is ... Is that you ? What happened to your voice ? ", asked Larry behind the phone, startled by Ellie's voice.
" Yeah ... Of course it's me. Who else could it be ? ", asked Ellie as she adjusted her voice.
" Where the f*ck are you anyway ? You're late for your meeting this morning ", replied Larry.
" I'm not late, duh. It's only 7 a.m ", replied Ellie.
" Are you sure ? Look at your d*mn phone Ellie ", ordered Larry.
