I finished my work a little bit earlier today as I still have to go to my father's engagement party. Truth to be told, I really didn't want to go for obvious reasons.
Reason number 1 : I don't want to see my father and Lucia strut in front of everyone with ear-to-ear smiles. Plus, I still didn't exactly forgive my father for leaving us that night, he made a selfish decision and so will I.
Reason number 2 : My mother will also benefit from my presence there as she insisted way too much that I should go there. She has a very specific plan for Gabriel and me, and when she has something in mind she will do anything in her power to make it happen no matter the price or the consequence. She knows my every weakness and always hits right where it hurts.
