RING!!!!!
Lu yao yin woke up to the sound of her phone ringing, she drowsily stretched her hand picked the phone from the side table and without even checking she answered the call
"who is this?"
"whoa are you trying to seduce me with that voice?" the masculine voice poured into her ear, making her eyes a shoot open, she removed the phone from her ear and crossed check the number.
Zi yichen?
Since she got his number from Si xunmi she was so busy with company work that she couldn't even find time to call him and now he was calling her himself
"are still sleeping?" He asked as she kept quiet
"ehn just woke up, what's up? you finally got the time to call me"
In Zi yichen's ear it sounded like a she was complaining, he couldn't stop himself from smiling, the people seated around him were completely shocked by how he was smiling
"Why? did you miss me?"
"yeah in my dreams" Lu yao yin yawned lazily then walked to her closet, she held the phone in one hand and sorted through her clothes with the second one
"don't we have something to discuss about?"
"yeah we should discuss about us right?" He joked
"yeah_"
His eyes shot open and he sat upright, "really?!" it was only a joke and he didn't expect her to agree but...but she had actually agreed,
does...does it mean she like him too_
"we should discuss about us collaborating our companies, isn't that what you mean?" He couldn't even finish his train of thought before she shattered his hope.
Zi yichen smiling face dropped and he slumped back into the chair, nobody around him could pinpoint who he was talking to that made him change emotions like a rollercoaster
"you're not fun at all" he complained "fine what do you have in mind?"
"I came up with an idea, but we can't discuss about it on the phone...so I was wondering if I could stop by at your office then we could discuss about it"
His eyes lit up again "My office? don't you have to go to work?"
"I will but I want to finish this issue first so that I could move on to something else"
"well then since you put it that way I clear up my schedule and wait for you, there would be somebody waiting for you at the entrance when you get here"
Lu yao yin agreed then cut the call, she went through her walk in closet and picked out a leather black jacket and a pair of leather trousers and black boot. she was not like the regular boss lady that would always put on office women wear to go to office, she dressed like she was even a CEO
Few minutes later she hoped on her red Ducatti Superlegerra V4 and drove off in high speed toward G-x corporation building. when she got to building she kept getting stares from people as she made her way to the reception, she had a black sunshade on so no one could tell she was the one, they only gossiped how she looked sexy in the leather jacket and trousers,
"I'm here to meet Zi yichen" she said to the girls seated at the reception. They but looked at her in shock and then doubt, they were shocked because there was no one that had ever addressed their CEO with his name, most people called CEO Zi or Mr Zi.
"Ma'am sorry our CEO has nothing on his schedule and he's not expecting anyone" one of the girl spoke, her words were polite bit she had an arrogant look in her eyes as she spoke
"Ma'am it will be easier if you can maybe give him a call, if he asked you to be here" the other girl was not to pleased with the first girl so she glared at her then spoke to Lu yao yin in a more humble tone.
"hmm" she sent a warm smile to the girl then took out her phone and dialed his number.
He picked almost immediately like he was expecting her call.
"I'm at your reception and I was told I can't see you"
"don't worry I'm on my way" she cut the call after hearing this
"can I wait here?" she pointed to cushion in the cushion, the receptionist nodded then she took her seat and began pressing away on her phone.
Few minutes later she saw a pair of shoes in front of her, she lifted her head and saw Zi yichen standing in front of her. People in the reception couldn't believe that their CEO had come down personally to meet a lady, the lady mist have been so important to amount such respect from him.
Lu yao yin too off her glasses and looked at her wrist watch "20 minutes late, you're paying for lunch" she put her hand in her pocket and walked past him towards the direction he was coming from
Zi yichen chuckled softly then followed after her
"oh my god! did that just happen?!"
"He actually came down to pick her? just who is she?!"
"don't you know? she's Lu yao yin! I recognised her face when she took off her glasses"
"does that mean they are actually together?"
someone posted the gossip into the company's group chat and very soon people ran out of their offices on each floor to see for their self when Zi yichen and Lu yao yin passes. unfortunately for them the duo took the special elevator that only led to Zi yichen office, so the only person that saw them were the few people that worked on the floor of his office but they too immediately posted it to the chat
"its true! I just saw them now! (picture attached)"
"whoa so its true after all!"
"let's not jump into conclusion yet, they might just be meeting for a cooperation deal"
"worker above you were not in the reception, you would have seen how he smiled when she told him he was punished for being 20 minutes late and he had to take her for lunch, he smiled like that was the best thing he had ever heard, aish it was so blissful"
"(crying emoji) he got a girlfriend without even giving us a chance"
"stop dreaming, her networth would be your salary for 20 years"
The two were having a pleasant conversation in the office totally oblivious of what they had steered up
"so can I hear your idea" Zi yichen passed the cup of coffee to Lu yao yin then sat on his seat and watched her sip the coffee
"age of immortals" she said as she brought down the cup from her mouth
Age of immortals?
He looked confused cause he didn't understand what she meant by that, the name sounded familiar but he could pinpoint where he heard it
"Mammoth studios are working on the new series of their magazine Stargaze... they named it Age of immortals" she explained when she saw him confused.
"All Entertainment companies are fighting to have their celebrities featured in this series cause they say its going to be a hit"
"so you want us to also be featured in it?" he ask interestedly
She chuckle evilly "no I mean we should snatch the series for ourselves"
Zi yichen was astonished by what he heard, he didn't expect she would say that.
"what do you say?"
"its interesting, it would really be shocking if both our companies suddenly appear on a magazine together, I can already picture the comment"
"don't picture anything yet, the boss of mammoth studios is really picky, and annoying, he would only accept a business deal when he see something that interests him"
"You have done enough, so leave the rest to me?" He ruffled her hair playfully "I will take care of the rest"
She hit his hand away and straightened her hair with her finger.
"since you want to I won't stop you"
"what about lunch?" he asked when he saw that she had turned to leave.
"aren't you busy?" she asked back
"I cleared my schedule for you so what else would I be doing" he was openly flirting with her but she didn't looked that moved, she playfully rolled her eyes and crossed her arm across her chest
"fine let's go, a day with you wouldn't kill right?"
His eyes lit up and he hurriedly carried his car keys then followed her out.
