"mom I beg your help me talk to dad to pay for my bail, I can't stay here any longer, the conditions here are terrible!" Lu shenqi begged and as she cried severely.
like before Lu yao yin had dropped the case against her but still according to the law she had to pay bail money and also fine for the defamation of character, the problem now was that they had no money and still weren't ready to let go of their extravagant life plus Lu xunhe had made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with the issue
"Darling your father is still being adamant, he has refused to sell the company"
"what?! how could he? I am his daughter, is he going to leave me to rot in prison?!" Lu shenqi roared furiously, she didn't understand why her father was refusing to sell the company, it was going bankrupt already so what's the use in keeping it around.
"He says its our last lifeline and saving it is more important than anything"
"He means saving it is more important than saving me! how can he be so heartless, mama please I don't want to stay here any longer please get me out of here" she held onto Tang ning clothes and begged frantically.
"Lu shenqi" a police officer walked into the room and called put her name
she thinking they had come to take her back to her cell ran forward and hid behind Tang ning
"mother please don't let them take me back I beg you please!"
Tang ning felt her heart break looking at Lu shenqi pitiful expression "officer please can we spend a little more time together"
"you can spend all the time you want at your home, she's free to go, her bail has been paid off" they both couldn't believe their ears.
"what?!" they exclaimed simultaneously
"Do you mean it, I_I_I've been bailed out? by who?!" Lu shenqi asked hurriedly, she couldn't imagine that she had actually been bailed out of this hellhole.
"Do you think I have time to play jokes with you! your dad just paid your bail so pack your things and leave" the police officer humphed angily and stomped out of the room.
"My father?" this was even more unbelievable to her, wasn't it her father that swore not to be involved in her case so how come...
Did_did he change his mind? She bet he couldn't bare to see her suffer Right?...
she shook her head to disperse every thought and question, then a proud smile appeared on her tattered and unkempt face making her look crazy.
"mama see dad still loves me! I knew he wouldn't be able to stand seeing me suffer no matter how angry he was" Lu shenqi turned and boasted to her mother
Tang ning gave her an encouraging smile but deep within her she wasn't so sure they should be happy about it, she know her husband, he definitely wasn't someone that would let go of a grudge once he had one. just what was he plotting?
"father!" Lu shenqi chuckled heartily and pounced on Lu xunhe immediately she existed the building.
"Behave yourself you're a grown up already yet you're acting like a little kid" He reprimanded her as he steadied her body on the ground, she was clinged to him and didn't notice the ridicule that flashed past his eyes. Tang Ming was right behind her so she had caught it before it disappeared.
"what? I'm happy I finally get to leave this hellhole, you don't know how much I hated it here, it reminds me of when I had to visit grandma in her sick home" she blabbered on and on that she didn't notice she had said something wrong.
Lu xunhe stomach churned in anger but he didn't show it in his expression, just like he expected, not a word of appreciation had left her mouth since she started talking it was like he was obliged to, she had even brought up his late sick demented mother!
He regrets!
He regrets everything he had done for this bastard, he was overwhelmed with lust thus he married Tang ning and neglected his wife Xia ailing, even his demented mother was later locked up on a dark house and left alone to herself as per the advance from this two bitches, Xia ailing was left to watch over his mother and eventually she also fell sick, she died not long after his mother died. If only he could turn back the hands of time then he wouldn't have brought these worthless vixens into his life.
She even had the guts to speak ill of his mother, after being aware that the neglect they showed her had brought about her early demise and also that of Lu yao yin mother Xia ailing.
Tang Ming stood back and watched emotions turmoil in Lu xunhe eyes, she knew that Lu shenqi words had clearly angered him but surprisingly he didn't flare up and just kept holding back his anger for some reason she didn't understand, she felt suspicious so she just made herself a wallflower and stayed out of the whole issues
"That's enough!" he snapped at Lu shenqi, and even though he tried his best to sound doting his voice still held an enormous amount of fury plus the strength he used to push her off him made her stagger backwards
"you shouldn't speak bad of your elder, or you would have to face retribution" He gauged the anger in his voice and made it sound like he was only correcting her
Lu shenqi stuck out her tongue from her mouth sheepishly "fine fine I've heard"
They all boarded the car and their journey back home began. There was a choking silence between Lu xunhe and Tang ning throughout the ride, only Lu shenqi was being chatty, laying complaints about the prison and more about Lu yao yin.
"How did you raise the bail money?" The quite Tang ning asked curiously
Lu xunhe threw her a side look and said "I sold a few things" by a few things he actually meant a lot. he sold all of Tang ning and Lu shenqi's valuable belongings and even their Lu mansion had to go too, but he didn't even use any of the money he got on her bail, be used the money to settle somethings in his company while he had gotten her bail money from some where else
"huh? dad this isn't the way home?" she asked perplexed, she looked out the window and the route he had taken was looking unfamiliar
"I sold the mansion so from now on we're going back to the old family house"
"what?!" Lu shenqi exclaimed, Tang ning was also surprised but she clenched her dress and stopped herself from saying anything.
"Dad why! you know how Mich I hate that shit holez its so scary and smell of old people! you should have sold it instead"
Sold it? A house that held the memorial tablet of all the Lu elder and yet she brazenly said he should have sold it?
"shenqi! how can you say that?! that house had been in the family for generations so how can your father sell it!" Tang ning furiously refuted before Lu xunhe could say anything "If you can't accept it then we should take you back and retrieve our bail money back!"
she too was not in support of staying in that raggedy old house with haunted memorial tablets but she knew speaking out her true mind would only make her a target for Lu xunhe plot. she lobes Lu shenqi but she would readily sacrifice her to whatever he was plotting as far as it would save her head.
Lu xunhe looked at his precious wife and sneered in his mind "selfish bitch" he knew she had discerned his thoughts and was trying to buy her way out of what ever he was planning. she knew his thoughts but still was not willing to save the daughter she so much pampared, just how come did he get entangled with such a selfish and heartless woman.
Lu xunhe vehemently condemned Tang ning in his mind but he neglected the fact that he was equally a very selfish and heartless person. First he abandoned the wife that sponsored his family and his business for another woman just because she was popular among his socialite group. His poor wife Xia ailing died of heartbreak and worrying but yet on the day she was buried he was no where to be found, partying and celebrating Lu shenqi birthday with his darling Tang ning.
