Chapter forty-four
"He is my best friend, Thokozani. He is my only friend and we can't let him die" Jason pleaded to his human side but that wasn't going to cut it.
"He might die big boss and I will go to prison" Thokozani explained.
Thokozani fought the urge to run over to where Jason and his friend were and help. He considered himself a good man but even good men go to prison for murders they didn't commit.
After all, Africa wasn't the best continent to stick around and look for evidence to convict someone of a crime. The most popular investigation was to arrest anyone close to where the body was found and make them admit to killing the person or be beaten to death by the police.
