CHAPTER FORTY-EIGHT
Jason walked through the narrow hallway until he entered in to the general area that had a local bar. He saw Alyssa's father standing by an old television talking to Thokozani. Jason was furious. He was supposed to be getting a juice box for his daughter instead he was just standing there.
A small voice in Jason's head reminded him that Alyssa's father wasn't his father. Not everyone's dad was as worthless as his own and he also heard the pride in his voice when he told him about his daughter earlier in the day.
The way Alyssa's father smiled anytime her name was mentioned says a lot about the man, that he was a good and loving father.
With Jason's anger tampered now, he moved closer to where the two men stood.
"Your daughter still needs the juice" he told the man
Jason annoyance slipped away as he saw the man clutching two boxes of juices and his young son searching the refrigerator for a third box of juice.
