Staying awake in about twenty minutes beside the dead body of Lorenzo Arthur, the old man. Within that twenty minutes, she was just looking at the sky and seems like drowsiness had never struck at her yet.
She looks at Lorenzo first before sitting then looks at him again after in few seconds. She stood up then walks somewhere.
The shovel's edge imbeds forcefully in the soil and quickly piling up the soil to the edges of a rectangular shallow hole. After she had accomplished the exact deepness that she wants to dig in she slowly put the cadaver inside it. Then arranged his position in the hole by putting the cadaver's both hands in his stomach and made sure that his hair was lying neatly.
After all of the simple efforts that she had done to just at least make his burial special she starts to put back the soil again. When she was almost done putting back the soil using the shovel the raindrops started.
She stopped then looks at the sky slowly. She closed her eyes then breath deep. After about a few seconds bygone, she opens her eyes then lies down the shovel.
She was very wet right now. The raindrops slowly in her face and from the edges of her clothes. When she turns her sight at the right side she saw a single small simple white flower then she nears it and picked it up.
Putting slowly the flower upon his grave then smiles.
"You may rest in peace."
She said slowly then turns at the back then nears the sword that was being leaned at the tree and hold it tight. She starts walking away from his grave.
The rain was getting stronger and it was getting windy too.
The flower upon the grave was being driven by the wind slowly up in the sky. It was passing through the city of Limnon. While Fontana was continuing her way to the next city, the Hontas City, the last city that she needs to pass through so she may arrive at the lake of Simlon before arriving at her final destination.
Now, midnight has come but continuing her way. She had successfully passed through the color green big billboard of the welcome message of the city of Hontas that was on the right side. The rain was slowing down and she starts to feel cold right now.
'Find a place for you to rest and get comfortable.'
Sakar whispered.
"I will."
As she answered.
Turning around her sight to find a place for her to stay and get changed. Finally, on the right side, there was a store for clothes and found it better than the other. Same in the cities of Limnon, Replecko, and Cantanna, this city was also attacked mercilessly by the armies of the King but she was hoping that other people had survived. Dead bodies were decaying and the smell of the surroundings was unbearable.
She walks slowly inside this store. The lights are blinking and the sound of electrical damage can be heard inside this store.
On the right side, the clothes are scattered in mess but hopefully on the other side was not so she walks to the left side then starts looking for clothes that are suitable for her. When she was about to get the black leather upper clothe that has long sleeves that reach the wrist, a single drop of something landed in her nose. Because of that, she stopped then slowly wiped this thing with her right hand. When she had seen this thing that had dropped in her nose in the tips of her fingers her eyes widen.
She looked above then saw a tip of a spear that was embedded from above and blood was slowly dropping from it.
"This is fresh."
She whispered.
She turns around then saw almost hidden stairs at the right corner. She walks slowly towards that stairs then stepping carefully on every single stair.
'Be careful.'
Sakar whispered.
"I know."
She whispered too in seriousness.
She was very focused on her surroundings and was ready to defend herself. She had taken the last step then observe the surrounding.
Slowly walking forward while looking around. The single light at the center above was slowly blinking. After taking two steps she heard a little sound of a dying person. She keeps stepping in the direction of this sound then she stopped when finally saw a woman who was in great agony.
The spear was thoroughly embedded in the left part of her stomach and was continuously bleeding. This woman looks at her with begging eyes and a single tear drops from her eye. Fontana suddenly kneels then puts the sword down beside her. She slowly holds the spear and when she was about to pull it from this woman's stomach she stopped when she begged to not pull it out.
"K-kill me. Kill m-me, please..."
And she started to sob.
Fontana immediately shook her head.
"No. No, I will not do it."
She had already killed a single person lately and now a new one was begging for the same favor. She felt like a murderer.
"P-please... End me."
But seeing her in great torment she realized that it was better to finish her from this situation than continuing to suffer. She slowly picked up the sword then immediately percolate it into her left chest, it directly hit her heart. A sudden opening of her mouth happened because of intense pain then a few seconds later she loses her life.
Fontana looks at her face with a very sad face. She slowly closes her eyes using her right hand then bows.
After awhile, she grabbed the sword from this dead woman's body and stood up. The blood was slowly dropping from the very edge of the sword. She saw the tattoo of this dead woman on her neck and it was a wolf.
Her focus on this dead woman's body was being revoked when she heard a small sound from the dark corner. She immediately turns her sight into it then ready her sword. Slowly stepping forward while observing everything that surrounds her.
She suddenly turns in the left corner when there was something falls and she immediately runs as fast as she could in that direction then using her sense she had grabbed someone with all of her force. Fontana forcibly dragged this person to where the dead body was located and put the sword's sharp edge into the neck.
It was a man, a man who has a very familiar appearance. He was armored and she knows that the spear that was embedded in the woman's body was from him. She was about to cut his neck because of anger that precipitates within her but she didn't continue it when this army talked.
"I didn't mean to hurt her."
He said while his eyes are wide open and were sweating.
She stays staring into his eyes for about a half-minute to ensure if is telling the truth while this army was trembling. After she had ensured it she let him go then turns against him.
"Leave."
She said in seriousness.
When he heard what Fontana had said he immediately walks towards the stairs but he suddenly stopped when he realized something. He turns to Fontana then looks at her. Fontana noticed his action so she turns to him with a confused face.
"Why aren't you leaving?"
And she set upright the sword with force to make a sound while still looking at this army. When he heard the sound that was caused by the sword he was shocked and it made him gulped.
"Leave now or else."
She added.
Fontana feels a little anger when she sees this army and she doesn't know why but maybe the reason was she blames them, on him.
"B-but I have nowhere to go."
"Seriously? Are you serious? How come that you have nowhere to go?"
He took two steps forward.
"I'm serious."
Fontana just looks at him sharply.
"Why do you say so?"
This army bows his head.
"For I just..."
Then looks at Fontana.
"...don't know where to go."
Fontana suddenly chuckled then became serious again.
"Go back to where you've come from."
"Where?"
"To the King, of course."
She said in an irritated manner.
"But I don't want to go back there. I don't want this. I don't want the King's command and you know I cannot bear to kill someone but that woman..."
As he points at the dead body of the woman.
"She had attempted to kill me and that's only self-defense."
He stopped then took a deep breath and continue.
" I'm sure you already knew my tattoo."
After hearing his words she felt relieved from her anger toward him.
"Strange... I didn't think that someone like you was telling me such a thing."
"Please, believe me."
Fontana took a single step.
"I do."
"Y-you do?"
"Now leave."
"Where are you going? Tell me."
He just didn't hear Fontana's command.
"Leave now!"
"Where are you going?"
Fontana sighed deeply to control herself.
"It's none of your business."
"You're going to Kell, right?"
She lifted her right eyebrow.
"I know that you are going to Kell. You're from one of the other cities that are in the south based on your appearance."
He made Fontana smirked.
"You are good at guessing but you need to leave me alone."
"I just-"
He suddenly stopped talking when Fontana suddenly nears him and puts the sword's edge at his neck.
"Chitchat to die or shut up to live and leave?"
He began to tremble intensely.
"S-shut up to live and leave..."
"Final? Or maybe you want the other one?"
"N-no... It's final."
Then he rashly runs downstairs until his footsteps disappeared from this place.
She sighed then turns her sight to the dead body.
'You never gave him chance.'
Sakar whispered unto her.
"What for?"
'Maybe he could help you.'
"I don't need his help and I don't want to put another person in danger. Based on his words, he needs to be alone and have peace and need not bother me."
'How can he find peace in these times, Fontana?'
Sakar made her think but she just made it easy.
"Well, he had so many options to choose. I need to get changed."
While Sakar just didn't give her a response.
In the place of Kell, the King was sitting on the throne while the head of the armies was kneeling at his front waiting for his command.
"Continue the plan. Attack the west first."
"My King, almost half of our armies are wounded and one-third are killed. We cannot attack the west yet, we need time to cure the wounded armies. My King, we need time."
The King looks forward while thinking. After a few seconds, he responded.
"Cure the wounded. That's an order."
"Yes, my King."
Then he stood up and bow once then walks against the King.
In his eyes, he was craving for the person that has the lion tattoo but why? Why does the King want to get this person so much? But only one thing was sure, he was scared.
Back to the city of Hontas, where Fontana was.
She slowly put wide the grey blanket to the dead body that was freshly dead and sits to the right corner. She leans her head against the wall. She was now wearing leather clothes in black color. An upper clothe that has long sleeves that reach her wrist and a long fitted clothe for the lower part and luckily she had found boots and was suitable for her. Then she was now wearing a grey fabric that was coiled in her neck. While her hair was starting to dry.
"I'm tired."
Then she sighed.
'Rest now.'
As Sakar whispered.
"Yup, I will."
And slowly laying on the floor then closed her eyes.
"Seems like I had stayed awake for a hundred years."
And she chuckled.
