The sun's little beam was now at her face, straight in her left eye. It gives her an uncomfortable feeling which leads her to wake up. She looks up at the ceiling then remains silent for awhile.
"Sakar, who am I?"
That's the question that had popped up in her mind after being awakened by that beam.
Sakar didn't give her any answer to that question.
"Sakar? Are you there?"
Almost a half-minute bygone when Sakar responded to her.
'Let me answer you with a same question. Who are you?'
Fontana closed her eyes once while taking a deep breath.
"When is the time for you to tell me everything?"
'There is nothing.'
Her eyebrows are almost attached.
"Nothing? What do you mean there is nothing?"
'For somebody shall tell you the whole truth.'
"And who is it?"
It was a very long time since she craves the whole truth. She had so many questions that are asking for absolute answers but still now it stays unanswerable, for now.
As she thinks deeper for the answer to her question lately, one person appeared within her mind.
"Is it the King?"
'The King?'
As if Sakar just echoed the last part of her question.
"Yes. The King."
'No. Not the King but maybe half of it.'
"What do you mean by that?"
Then she slowly sits on the floor.
'Nothing.'
Fontana just sighed deep. She knows that Sakar would not answer her directly. She slowly stood up then picked up the sword from the floor. She walks towards the stairs then takes steps downstairs and continues her walk until she reached the outside.
The sunshine is too bright which gives a very hot ambiance. She took steps forward amid the road while looking at the dead bodies that start to decompose which leads her to tremble for once then look forward. Crows are everywhere, their sounds are deafening and this location seems like it was under the spell of quietus.
In the lake of Simlon, the water was greenish and, small waves are made because of the gentle blow of the wind. The surface of the water was giving its smoke which was slowly scattered in the surroundings and it made a hazy ambiance.
The small white flower that was floating from above slowly landed at the surface of the water. It was continuously floating at the surface and when a few minutes bygone the water made a few bigger waves. A right hand that has light green scales and nails is about one inch long and pointed, it slowly picked up the flower from the surface of the water.
Silence remains within a few seconds while holding the flower carefully.
"She is coming."
A magnificent man's voice appeared.
The air blows forcefully than before but gently which causes the waterlilies to bends.
On the other side, the King was being driven into the deepness of his sleep while leaning on the throne. He was truly sweating and was scared for something.
'Why?...'
This voice was continuously appearing in his mind.
He was at an old wooden house while looking at the surroundings to look for someone.
'Why are you doing such things?'
While this voice appearing, a sound that was caused by being dragged slowly to the floor can be heard too and as well as the footsteps which were slowly getting closer to him.
He starts to tremble and intensely turning around to see where the voice and sounds came from and who it was.
'Talk! Why are you doing such things?!'
The voice was obviously in great wrath.
He slowly opened his mouth while his lips are shivering.
'W-what things are you pointing at?'
A chuckled from that unknown person appeared.
'You don't know what you're doing?!"
This someone suddenly attacked him until he has nowhere to go for he was trapped by the wall against him and by the person at his front. He couldn't look into the face of this person, indeed, even if he could its face was too blurry.
'Who are you?'
As he questioned this person.
'You already knew who I am.'
This voice was so cold which leads him to tremble more.
A very familiar tattoo on the neck catches his attention. His eyes widen more.
The edge of the ax was placed in his neck and was ready to cut off his flesh.
'Die...'
'No... No! No!'
The King suddenly opened his eyes while gasping intensely. He slowly holds his neck by his left hand then his gasp was slowly fading. A few minutes bygone, he was now calm.
He sits formally then looks forward.
"What did I have done?"
Then he bows his head.
"N-no... I have done no wrong. I just wanted to protect the world."
Does conscience drag him to the depth of the hole? Or it does but he was giving his whole strength to hold on amid the hole to not fully tumbled at the very end.
He nods and leans at the throne.
"I am just making this world better than before. Yes, making this better."
Then he closed his eyes and sighed slowly.
Back to the city of Hontas, Fontana was still walking and about almost three hours had bygone.
"Sakar, what is the appearance of the dark keepers that you are saying?"
After three steps that she had made after speaking up those words, Sakar answered her.
"They have a skin of a color grey and eyes like a snake. Nails are all black and pointed but lips are red. They are like humans but they have abilities that no human could have."
Fontana attempts to talk but it didn't happen for a trashcan that was located on the left side at the back suddenly fell and catches her attention.
She looks seriously in the direction of that trashcan and observes its surroundings but unfortunately, there was nobody there. She just continued her way and ignore this moment.
"What abilities?"
Bringing back her full attention to Sakar.
'They could see in the dark and could transform themselves into black smoke. They are also well-known in handling weapons for battles.'
"That's... impressive."
'Very impressive.'
Sakar whispered more softly.
While walking amid the road, Fontana senses something. She felt like there was something wrong with the place.
A sudden stop made by her happened then she immediately stopped the sharpened arrow before arriving at her forehead by her right hand. The tip of this arrow was about one foot away from her. She felt a little pain in her hand in stopping this danger. She throws this arrow then looks directly at the location of where the arrow had come from.
She sees no one but she knows that there was somebody who was there.
"You had attempted to kill me!"
As she made her voice loud and clear.
"Come out! You don't need to hide."
She waits for a few seconds until three men came out from their hiding place. They are at the top of the roof, on the right side of the road.
The man that was on the left side was holding a bow and a bunch of arrows was at his back. She already knows that the person on the left side was the one who attempted to shoot her dead. While the person in the right was holding a sword which blades are almost covered by dry blood and as well as the person at the center.
"Go back to the south!"
It is like the man in-between the two gives her a command.
"I don't want to."
The three looks at her for awhile then they get down one by one from the roof using the trashcans and other staff. They walk closer to Fontana.
"You are brave and skillful. To whom did you learned that?"
As the man with a bow and arrow talked.
"I had learned it from no one."
She responded in seriousness.
Then she looks at the man that was on the right side.
"Leave this city. You cannot bring anything from here neither a single piece of clothing."
A sudden lift of her right eyebrow had made then bows her head to see the clothes that she was wearing on and turns her sight again to this man.
"Really? Don't be selfish."
By her words, it seems like the three were being annoyed.
"Leave this city lady or else."
The man at the center said then points the tip of the sword into her.
She just looks at him in seriousness. After a few seconds she speak.
"Why are you doing this?"
The man at the left suddenly smirked.
"That's not an acceptable question. The answer is obviously in your surroundings."
She looks at him eye to eye then after hearing his words she already knows their reason.
"Being selfish cannot save you from death."
Her voice was now showing boldness.
"We cannot let the other people that are not in this city take our foods and other survival staffs. We are doing this for our lives."
The man at the center said.
"Your lives? How about the others?"
They remain looking at Fontana.
"Until now, you care for just yourselves? The other people are just like you. Please... You must not be like that."
He slowly lowers the sword from pointing directly at her.
"And I'm not here to get all of this city's supplies but just to take the way to reach my destination so let me take the way."
They looked at each other then turns their sight again to her.
"If that's so, we have no reason to stop you. We're sorry for the inconvenience. You may go."
Said the man on the right side.
She looked at them then took steps forward.
"We don't know where's your destination but be careful."
As the man on the left side said.
She stopped for a moment but didn't turn her sight to them. A smile on her face appeared then continue her walk. They just look at her until she disappeared from their sight.
They never saw such a brave woman before throughout their lives and because of that, they are being astonished.
'You did a great job, Fontana.'
As Sakar whispered to her.
While Fontana just sighed once and never responded to him.
After about half of an hour, Fontana realized what she had done lately. The action that she had made to just stop the arrow from hitting her in the forehead. She was astonished too by her action.
"Did you noticed what I have done lately? I unintentionally stopped the arrow."
'I did.'
"But how? How did I do that?"
'You just did that, Fontana. There's nothing questionable about it.'
"Of course there is, Sakar."
'You need not wonder more about it. Listen, if you will know who you are then you will answer everything. For now no need to wonder about small things but you must wonder about big things.'
"You are right."
These are just the words that came out of her mouth. Sakar has a point, as she thinks.
In the other place, the top of the trees is shaking because of the wind. The sound of birds can be heard. Footsteps started to appear. The three people were walking closer to the grave of the old man, which was Lorenzo. They stopped in front of it then looks at it.
"She used to be in here."
As a man said.
"Did she made that thing?"
A husky man's voice said.
"She did."
He answered.
He closed her eyes then took a deep breath. He was trying to sense her. Then after awhile, he now opened his eyes.
"That way."
He said while pointing at the left side then started to depart from the grave. The two just followed him.
In the place where Fontana was located, the surroundings started to darken. It will surely begin to rain again. The wind starts to blow strongly then raindrops are now appearing. The sky was in sympathy again.
