Before the instance of Jakub's group running into Lizzy, we have to go back to the doctor's office. About an hour earlier, Jakub and the others were still in the basement of the office. Amaya was so intrigued with the fact that Jakub had come from another world she couldn't stop asking about his other life. That's when Jakub started to realize that he had forgotten a lot of things from the other world. It seemed like he was losing his other world experiences. There's plenty of things he didn't want to forget but some he was okay with. In his head he still thought about Lizzy, he knew he would never see her again but her smile that night was something he didn't want to forget. That was when he realized he wanted to be more open and forward with people because of how she was.
"I honestly don't remember much anymore." said Jakub.
"I'm forgetting things too…" Emily spoke.
"It's like what they think reincarnation as a baby would be like. People believe babies come out crying because they're forgetting the memories of their past. Maybe since you weren't born as a child and instead were brought here as an adult, you've only just now began to forget them." Amaya said.
"I thought we told you we were from another one world before, Amaya." Emily said.
"No, just that you were reapers. I didn't know you came from another world though." She replied
The doctor sat to the side jotting down notes of what he was hearing. Jakub felt it odd that he was writing things about this down but didn't think much of it.
"I don't like the idea of forgetting things but I guess this is a new start. Making all new memories with good people wouldn't be so bad." Jakub said while looking at each person in the basement. "Maybe even get in a relationship here." He said winking at Emily, everyone saw him and laughed.
"Ew…" she replied and kicked him in the shin.
"I'm not interested…" Emily continued.
"So she says." Nicole butted in while winking back at Jakub.
"Shut up Nicole!" Emily said embarrassingly
"Anyway, Emily, you need to be careful with that black hole ability now. Who knew the amount of damage something like that could cause. It's possible that it could grow larger enough to be rid of the Earth." Dr.Reinheart warned.
Emily held the black active in her hand. While it was in her palm nothing was being sucked in or destroyed. It sat as a black ball changing sizes and floating about two inches away from the surface of her hand. Jakub sat watching her play with the black hole.
"Hey doc! What are the chances I consume some of the black hole and collide it with one of hers, do you think it would form a super massive black hole?" Jakub questioned.
"If the two were to collide at a larger scale yes I believe they would devour anything in their path." He answered.
Jakub leaned back going into deep thought. He wondered how cool it would be to see such a large black hole just devouring things. The thought of it though brought him full circle to his disappearing memories. He didn't want to lose them all, especially the tiny amount of Lizzy. The way she acted so straightforward so into and happy with everything she did. She said what she wanted and didn't care who knew. Literally the day they met Lizzy acknowledged Jakub's looks and said she wanted his phone number. Jakub thought it was odd that someone could be so open but it drew him to her even more. He liked Emily now but just couldn't shake the thoughts of Lizzy. He's been honest but has yet to actually tell Emily how he feels, so she takes it all as a joke.
Staring at the black hole floating around in her hand it made her feel the same way. She didn't care for her life in the other world early on, but up to her recent times there she had a good life and a great friend. Now it just meant that she was going to forget about it all.
Jakub looked at her face as the black hole began to disappear from her hand. She started to have a sad expression on her face and Jakub knew that she was thinking about the same thing he was.
"Hey, you guys wanna go get some food? Amaya you should come with us!" Jakub said.
"Alright that'd be fun! We should go to that fast food restaurant not too far from here." Amaya replied.
Emily looked at Jakub and smiled. She mouthed the words thank you but didn't say them out loud.
Everyone walked outside aside from the doctor who decided to stay back and do a little more research.
"Alright Amaya, lead the way!" Light said.
"We're walking? But I'm tired." Nicole replied.
"Yeah we're walking! Let's go!" Light and Amaya answered.
Nicole threw a tantrum joking around with the others and they headed out. After about ten minutes of walking they arrived at the restaurant. The group walked inside and Emily, Nicole and Light went to the bathroom while Amaya and Jakub found them a spot to sit.
Emily stared into the mirror next to a girl that was doing the same thing. She seemed really nervous about something, but Emily opted to not intrude.
"Do you guys think Jakub actually likes me?" Emily asked the other two that were in the stalls.
"He definitely does!" Both girls answered.
The girl next to Emily was Lizzy but the two didn't know one another. Lizzy only knows of Emily but has no idea who she actually was. Emily noticed that after she asked this question to the others that Lizzy's hands balled up and she seemed tense. Emily decided she was just going to go out.
Emily left the bathroom and Lizzy left right behind her. Jakub was heading into the men's room when Lizzy came out and Lizzy stared right into Jakub's eyes.
"Jakub…" Lizzy said.
Emily turned around quickly to look at the two standing there looking at one another.
"Who… who are you?" Jakub asked.
