Several days passed since Viktors death. Jakub, Emily and Light stuck to the agreement of going to live with Nicole. Viktor's death brought hard times for Nicole, she had never gotten to meet her mother because she died giving birth to her. Her father left everything to her making sure she was able to go on if something like this happened. After those days passed letters came in the mail for Emily and Jakub telling them of their acceptance and scholarships.
Nicole stayed in her room for those days. She couldn't handle doing anything, but instead of maids taking care of her Light had been cooking for her and sitting with her to talk about things. Whether Nicole would talk or not, Light would stay to make sure she never felt alone.
Jakub and Emily sat in the living room of the house. Thinking of their next move in this situation. They've never been faced with a situation like this and killing Tress was a lot for them. They knew he wasn't a human but taking a life still wasn't an easy thing to do.
"We should have Light tell Nicole the truth about herself." Emily said to Jakub.
Jakub nodded. "She's fully part of this now and I don't think she's going to back out.
Light walked out of the room into the living room with them. She sat down on one of the couches and put her face in her hands.
"This is the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with. Watching the girl I love go through so much pain. It's making me so mad, I have to do something about it." She said as she sat.
"You shoul-"
"I'm gonna tell her everything… she was brought into this world of death… I know how she is and she is going to want to take part in revenge for her father." Light interrupted
The three of them sat in the living room together trying to come up with a plan of action. They wanted to find a way to at the very least start gathering intel on Reign. Emily mentioned that in her world Reign operated in the southern part of Lotte. Now with Lotte being a much bigger city then it was and this being so far into the future they could be massive and control more than just the south. Jakub told them that he had never heard of Reign because he hadn't been in Lotte long. He came from a country town outside of the city so that he could attend Lotte University. Light said she knew nothing about them. The gang tend to build from ground up and take in troubled children when they're young, instead of taking them in as they get older.
"I may be able to find out some stuff." Nicole said peaking around the corner. "I could hear you guys still talking. It's pretty late so I was curious as to what you all were doing. Like I said I may be able to help, there was a guy that was around the University for some time trying to hit on me. He comes around on occasion but we may be able to do something with that."
Light got upset and balled her fist up. "Hey, Nicole I need to tell you some things about me"
Nicole walked over to the couch Light was sitting on and sat down next her. "What is it?"
"I'm technically not a human. I'm a similar being to Emily and Jakub. We're called Valkyrie and I was sent here to check in the reapers activities. Also…" she began getting nervous and red. "I've been in love with you since you started coming to study and learn from me. I know I'm a few years older than you and it may be-" Nicole cut her off by kissing her.
"I've loved you the whole time. I was coming to you so often because of that. I'm extremely happy to hear that you feel the same way. What you are will never change my feelings toward you. I love you." Nicole held her hand. "Thank you for being here for me all week, thank you for everything you did. Thank you to you both also. But I am taking part in this, I will kill that man with my own hands."
Light began crying from excitement.
Emily sat up straight to get more focused. "We need to come up with a plan of action. We need to figure out how to go about tricking this guy."
"I mean make a false promise and lure him away. It's as simple as that. We can knock him out, restrain and interrogate him. Find out everything he knows about them and then take care of the rest." Said Jakub.
"I can handle the interrogation, I was trained in torture before coming here. I was meant to torture information out of reapers to send back." Light replied.
They went on to ask how often Nicole ran into this guy. She told them he would show up on Wednesdays because he apparently had some work for Reign to do in the area. She believed he was a runner because he always carried around an empty bag as if he had delivered something. Wednesday was two days away giving them plenty of time to get things together.
The plan was for Nicole to talk him up and convince him to go on a fake date with her. They would go to the same place that three of them had gone for breakfast last week. After they were done eating she would act seductively and lure him into the alley in the back where Light would use her ability to knock him unconscious. From there they would take him to an abandoned shipyard in the port of Lotte City. They would leave the rest up to Light, they didn't want to interfere with her methods or make her feel like she had to restrain herself because they were there.
After talking the plan out and writing it into their memory. They agreed that this would be their plan of action and that it was going to be the most effective way of getting things done. The sun was rising and it had become Tuesday morning. The four had stayed up all night coming up with a plan and finally settled on where to start. All four had now fallen asleep on the couches and drifted into dreams. In two days it would commence, their plan to gather info on Reign is coming sooner than they thought.
