Wednesday morning had come up faster than they anticipated. Nicole headed out ahead of everyone to get to her morning class. She let everyone else know that the guy tended to show up just before her afternoon classes. The plan was for her to tell him that she would skip afternoon classes to go to lunch with him at the restaurant. From there the plan would be set in motion.
Light headed out not too long after Nicole. She had to get to the school's infirmary so that she could put in Emily and Jakub's records. Her role was to knock the man out and be the driver for the whole plan to work. She was to go to the school to submit the records and just before Nicole would head to the restaurant, Light had to establish a good position to scout the alley.
Emily and Jakub left the house last. They weren't officially enrolled in the school yet so they had no classes and no real reason to be around the area. Emily told the group she would meet Nicole as she left her morning classes to be the tag along friend that could identify the man for Light later on. Jakub's role was to eavesdrop on them in the restaurant. He was going to sit at the counter stools in good enough position to be able to listen in. So since all he had to do was be at the restaurant he went to hangout with Light until she left.
A few hours had gone by and it was time. Jakub and Light had already left the school. Emily and Nicole were walking through the courtyard when they ran into the man.
"Hey pretty lady, it's been a while. You weren't here last week." Said the man.
"No I wasn't, I was taking care of some personal matters." Nicole responded.
The man looked at Emily, looking her up and down. "Who's your friend?"
"I'm Emily, nice to meet you. And you are?"
"Call me Dreg, I don't like giving my name out to new people." He replied.
Nicole balled her hand up in frustration. "So Dreg, do you want to get lunch with me? I kind of want to skip my next class so if you're up for it."
Dreg seemed surprised but agreed.
Emily began to play her part. "Seriously Nicole? You're going to skip class to go out with some guy?"
"Yeah Emms, I don't feel like going plus isn't he kind of cool?"
Tch.
Emily pretended to be annoyed and walked away. She had gotten a good read on Dreg and now knew what he looked like. Nicole told Emily of a back way to the restaurant beforehand so that they wouldn't pass one another on the way there.
"I know a place we can go not too far from here." Nicole said to Dreg
"Alright I'm in. Your friend didn't seem too happy about this."
"She's just trying to make sure I stay focused on school."
Nicole and Dreg began walking to the restaurant, meaning this plan was now in full swing. With the restaurant being not too far from the school the two made it there in no time. They walked inside and instantly Nicole saw Jakub at the counter and began to relax some more. They sat at the booth directly behind Jakub at the counter.
The waitress walked over to the table. "Hey Nicole good to see you again. Bringing a boy in here for a date huh? What can I get you two to drink?"
Nicole smiled at the waitress. "I'll take a coffee please."
Dreg ordered a cola.
The two of them sat talking for a bit about what Nicole was going to school for and then he asked why she wasn't there last week.
"Well my father passed away last week." She replied.
"I'm sorry to hear that."
"You will be sorry…" Nicole mumbled under her breath.
As they finished eating their meals Jakub got up from his stool and left. He went around to the alley and got in the back seat of the car. "They'll be coming out in a few minutes. Get ready, Light." Jakub was getting really eager and tired of waiting. He stepped outside of the car and pulled out a cigarette. Emily got out and leaned on the car next to him.
"Are you doing okay?" She asked.
"I'm fine, I just hated watching her have to deal with someone from that damn gang." Jakub replied while smoking.
Emily took the cigarette out of his mouth and took a drag from it too. "I know, I wanted to punch him in the face the moment I saw him at the school."
Light knocked on the window and pointed toward the alley. She got out of the car and her twilight appeared. "This is where the fun begins."
On the other side of the alley they could see Nicole and Dreg talking. Nicole was rubbing her hand on his chest when she turned to walk into the alley. Light was getting jealous rage and that's when Dreg reached his hand in front of Nicole stopping her in the alley. He positioned himself face to face with her, with her back against the wall. He started to close in when his vision went black.
"She's mine… asshole." Light said and then kicked the unconscious Dreg in the ribs. All of them could hear the cracking of his ribs when she did it.
"I'm pretty sure you broke his ribs." Jakub said from the other end of the alley. He walked over to pick up Dreg and put him in the trunk.
Light grabbed Nicole and held her tightly. "You did great Nicole, I know it was hard but we were here no matter what." Light kissed her forehead, grabbed her hands and looked her in the eyes. "I love you."
Nicole smiled. "I love you too."
"Hey uh guys… there's an unconscious guy in the trunk we should probably head to the shipyard." Emily said.
Jakub started laughing. "She has a point. Let's head out."
All four got in the car and made their way to the abandoned shipyard where the rest of Light's role would come into play.
There were ships everywhere, ones that had been long forgotten. The area was dark with little to no lighting. It was the perfect spot to go forward with the plan. Nobody would be able to hear his screams. Rusted ships and shipping containers scattered the area. Any noises would echo and ricochet off of everything basically canceling itself out. Nobody would be able to save him now.
Slap!
Nicole stood in front of Dreg as he woke up. He looked around and saw the other three, Light, Jakub, and Emily standing around the room. "Where the hell am I?" He asked.
"You're in a room at the bottom of an abandoned ship." Jakub told him.
Nicole smacked him again. "You're disgusting… you and your gang are going to pay for my fathers death."
"I'll take it from here, you guys go ahead and get out of the room. It's probably going to get out of hand in here." Light said as she rolled out a thing of knives and other tools on a table in the room. "Make sure you don't die on me okay?"
