For the first time in what felt like ages, Calluna awoke without the prompting of someone else. Her mind began to race the moment her eye opened, and her heart began to pound fervently within her chest. She took in a weak breath that hardly managed to fill her lungs, and pushed the air out her mouth shakily. The King could tell that her body was on the mend, but still couldn't help but feel frustration begin to boil in the depths of her stomach.
She had been injured or ill since the moment she arrived in Killia, and it was truly starting to drive her mad. There was almost nothing that she hated more than having her hands tied and being unable to take care of herself, but that seems to be what her whole life has become!
A soft, single knock indicated Wesley's return to the room, interrupting her negative train of thought.
"Ruminating?" He asked with a bitter smile. When she replied with a nod he sighed, "Understandable. Would you like to vent?"
