"No." Solomon deadpanned, his dark eyes narrowed.
Calluna gave a tight-lipped smile. "I wasn't really asking, I was ordering."
"So I look like I'd be a good secretary to you?" He scoffed, pointing to his own chest.
He didn't seem like the type to say yes even when presented with every logical reason, so Calluna improvised. It was time to catch him off guard.
She looked him up and down for a few long moments, which made him visibly uncomfortable. He shifted his weight awkwardly. Calluna's discerning eye went from his hardened scowl and scarred face to his broad shoulders, then down to his waist that was thin and toned from being so physically active.
The King returned her gaze to his face and said, "Not at all, but you're cute. Since I have to look at my secretary all day everyday, that's all I really care about."
