"You don't think…" Vincenzo started awkwardly. He sheepishly looked between Luna and Wesley a few times.
"I bet it's true." Calluna stated, her tone flat and unamused. "It would be just my luck."
"…I wouldn't rule it out," Wes added. "…But, on the bright side, he may have a soft spot for you?"
"I was supposed to die that night. There's no way a man in love would allow that to happen," she replied. "I don't think there's any way that he actually liked me. Especially with how insufferable I was."
Wesley bit his lip before looking up from his glasses. "I have a few ideas about what we can do with Prince Adam when he arrives, I'll bring them up to you later, Calluna. Until then, Vincenzo should just make normal preparations like increasing your security."
Vincenzo nodded and gave a hum of agreement. "I'll get on it immediately. Before that, though… Luna, you look very troubled. Are you still struggling to select a secretary?"
