I woke up sitting here in the car. I saw the masked man who looked like the leader of the other group earlier in the driver's seat.
I tried to move when I suddenly felt a headache. I touched it and saw there was blood on my head.
~
"Move, then you'll die."
I didn't really move because I didn't want to die. I still have many plans for my life.
"I-I'm begging you. Please don't kill me."
"Let's see."
And suddenly he hit me on the head with something hard.
"B-blood."
He just glanced at me.
I was stunned and at the same time, my tears were flowing. He ignored me. He just let me cry.
Eventually, our car stopped. My tears kept flowing. I remember something every time I see blood. I couldn't help but be upset.
He pulled me out of the car. His grip on my arm hurts. My head also in pain from his beating. I didn't mind anything and let him treat me like a doll he's just carrying.
I didn't longer notice the place he brought me. So to my surprise, we suddenly stopped walking. And when I looked up, the man pulling me was no longer wearing a mask. I looked at his face but I don't remember if we ever met so I don't think I have a debt on him so why did he bring me here?
"Where's Wren?" the man asked.
He whistled and glanced at me for a moment before turning to the man next to me. "He's in his office." He replied. He stared at him like he's threatening him before he shrugging and passed us.
"K." said this man before dragging me again.
He pulled me again into the stairs. When we got up we turned left and then went straight into the room at the end of the hallway.
As we entered we were greeted by a man sitting in a swivel chair, he looks like he's deep in thoughts.
He seemed to feel our presence so he looked up and our eyes met. I was dumbfounded by his face. He frowned and immediately sat up properly.
"Who is she?" he asked in furrowed brows.
"Witness," he answered.
"Witness?" The man asked with a frown. He stood up and he walked slowly, he stops in front of his table. He reached for something there that I don't know what.
"Yes, sir."
The man stared at me and he looked up as if he was having trouble breathing. "Didn't I tell you to make sure there's no inconvenience?!"
I cringe at the rise of his voice. I was devastated when his glaring eyes landed on me.
"Yes, sir."
"Then what about her?" it sounds as if his patience will be broken at any moment.
"I'll make her shut up," the man replied. My eyes widened at what I heard, w-what? Shut up?
He bowed as if signaling to leave. I felt a dryness in my throat as the man pulled me away.
"No, stop." the big boss stopped him.
He walked closer to us. "What happened to your dress?" He asked when he could get close to me.
I looked at what I was wearing and looked up at him. I just stared at him in shock, when I saw in his face the impatience I immediately searched for an answer.
"Uh, I was drenched in wine earlier. U-uhm... it's my fault." I answered in a low voice.
From where I was standing he went behind me. Later on...
"What happened to your head?"
"Huh? Uh ..." I looked at the man who pulled me earlier. He frowned as he looked at the man, probably wondering why I was acting like this.
"H-he hit me with something hard," I answered while pointing at the man.
He turned his gaze to the man who had pulled me. "You did what?" He asked angrily.
He cleared his throat before answering. "I hit her with a gun."
In a flash, I saw the man fall to the floor. To my shock, I did not react. The big boss also hit him on the head with a gun. Wait... g-gun?
"Leave." he said while massaging his temples.
"What the hell bro ?!" he protested.
"I said leave, are you stupid?"
"Tsk. Fine!"
The man looked at me.
"Are you alright?"
I stared at him after he asked me.
I am indeed confused. Why is he asking me if I'm okay? eh, aren't they bad people?
I just nodded in response to his question.
"C'mon, let's treat your wound"
"Uh, thank you" I thanked him after he treated my wound.
I also stared at him for a few minutes, from his wavy hair to his sharp nose, his deep and mysterious eyes, and his lips... I could not stop staring at him because he suddenly stood up.
He walked over to his seat earlier before we arrived, and he picked up a coat hanging on the swivel chair.
He approached me and handed it, "You should go home, Diego will send you home," he said.
And after that, he left me in this room.
I took the opportunity to look around. Gosh! This is even bigger than the apartment I'm renting.
I was amazed looking at this room, which I think was his office when Diego came in, he was the masked man before. He invited me to take him home.
I was about to get in the car when I looked back at the house, oh it's not a house, it's a mansion, I turned around hoping to see the man earlier but I failed, so I turn around and finally got in.
I looked at my watch and saw that it was already three o'clock in the morning. Time flies so fast, I never realized.
The trip was quiet. I refrain from asking this man because I am afraid that he might hit me again with something. Eventually, I restrained myself and let the questions linger in my head.
"Ah, turn left there, I'll get off in the convenience store,"
"I know," he answered me coldly and rudely, I just didn't answer because he might still be angry.
"Ahm, I'll get off here," I said when I saw the convenience store near where I lived.
"No, sir wants me to take you in front of your apartment," he uttered with finality.
I just nodded and didn't complain anymore.
Not long after, we reached the apartment I was renting, I went off the car and thanked him, he nodded at me in response and then drove the car away.
I stayed in front of the apartment for a long time until I decided to go upstairs and rest.
After I finished freshening up, I went to bed so that I could go to sleep but I was not sleepy. I'm still wondering what the man's name was before. Hays! I'm going crazy at the thought of it!!
