One day a teenage boy named Tj Evens wakes up and hits his alarm clock. He takes a deep breath and gets out of bed. He grabs a T-shirt and sniffs it to see if it's clean. He heads downstairs after getting fully ready and grabs a pop tart, his backpack, and headphones and leaves his loft. When he gets outside, he sees his social worker, Melissa Diaz waiting for him by his bike.
"Ms. Diaz, it's good to see you. Pop tart?"
Melissa chuckles.
"I'm good, thank you."
Tj shrugs and eats the rest himself.
"So did you come to see me off to my first day of public highschool? Or convince me not to go again?"
"I wasn't trying to convince you not to go. I just wanted to make sure that your ready, and know what you're getting into with this."
Tj smiles at his social worker.
"I want this, Ms. Diaz. I got this, trust me."
Melissa thinks to herself for a moment, then nods as Tj rides off to school.
A few minutes later, Tj makes it to Lincoln Park Highschool. As he gets off his bike and chains it to a bike post, he looks at all the kids around and smiles, thinking to himself that he's finally at school. He walks inside and to the office near by.
"Hi, I'm Tj Evens, this my first day and I was told to come here to get my schedule and locker combination and number." He tells the woman at the front desk with a smile.
The women looks at him with a dead expression on her face and slowly gets what he asks for.
"Not a lot of kids come to highschool with a smile. What are ya, high?" The woman asks, handing him the papers.
Tj chuckles, taking the things he needs from her.
"No, I'm just, really happy I'm finally here."
"Ok whatever, they don't pay me enough to care. A student will be with you to show you around, just wait by your locker."
Tj nods and leaves the office. As he stands near his locker, he sees two football players picking on a short, nerdy kid. When he sees one of them throw him to the ground, he quickly steps in.
"Hey! Why don't you leave the guy alone and go lift something heavy."
The two bullies turn around to Tj.
"This doesn't concern you, dick weed. Who are you supposed to be anyway, the nerds hero?"
As the two bullies laugh historically, Tj smirks.
"I'm your father, your mom just didn't tell you."
The two bullies and the nerdy student looks at him in shock.
"What the hell did you just say, loser?" The bully asks.
"Oh I said, I banged your mom at a Chris Brown concert, then six months later you came out. You were a C- section because your head was the size of a basketball. The doctors were confused because there was nothing in it though."
The bullies start to approach Tj, but then see a teacher watching from a distance.
"Watch your back." The other bully says.
They then walk off.
"I'll be right here, waiting. That didn't sound as cool as I thought, you two are dicks, bye."
Tj then walks over to the kid on the ground and offers his hand.
"You alright?" Tj asks.
The kid takes his hand, surprised that someone actually helped him.
"Yeah. Thanks."
"No problem."
The kid then slowly walks off to class.
"That was impressive." A British voice says.
Tj turns around and sees a pretty girl with red hair, glasses, and wearing a grey beanie standing behind him. Tj smiles at the girl.
"No one really stands up to wankers like those in this school." She tells him.
"Yeah well, I don't like bullies. Especially one's that look like they miss spell their own names and think their better than everyone."
The girl chuckles.
"I'm Amanda Lynn. I was told to show you around school."
The two shake hands.
"You're Terry, right?" She asks.
Tj pauses for a moment.
"I uh, prefer Tj. If that's ok."
"Sure. You ready to get started?"
Tj smiles, still excited about his first day of school.
"Definitely."
